Let's get away from all this homosexuality talk.
So here's something everyone can talk about- schools. Something we're all forced to attend. We've all been through the joys of school: teachers, tests, group projects, friends, and what not.
So which do you think is better? Public school or Private? Is it because you attended one and hated, and therefore the other must be better? I find a lot of people who are for private school are because they went to public school. And hated their public school experience. They said they would much rather stick their kids into private school to prevent what they went through in public school.
I went to public all through grade schools. I loved my grade school experience. It wasn't without it's own downs, but my school experience was rather good. Personally I've never had a good opinion of private schools. I believe that may have been due to the private school in my area.
Now I attend a private college, but it's a very large school. I don't really notice much of a difference from public school. Except for a lack of people who just don't want to be there, but that's from actually paying to be there. I have a great deal of friends who attended private high schools- and loved it. Obviously this went against my ideals of private high schools.
Or do you just say screw it- and do home school?

I have attended both a private school and public. I so like public schooling better. I don't like the small class rooms and hte small campus in private schools. I don't like small anything. I like to be part of a larger world where not everyone know everyone. But that's just me... The teaching may be better in private schools but I don't like the attention they give to each individial student. I like to be ignored. I know it sounds weird but I am very capable was just listening to a lecture, taking notes, and acing the exam. 3nodding
EDIT: What's wrong with my homosexual talk... I'm sorry.. but If I'm the only one making topics... it's gonna be a bunch of gay things. whee

As an art school- it needs be private- the classes need to be small and you need individual attention. While I was in public school- it didn't really matter to me if I got a lot of attention or not.

That makes sence, so I suppose it depend. In an art school it would be better for smaller classes. So it just depends of the course and such. 3nodding Offtopic- I was trying with the weather and the me being satan thing, but I have Brokeback Mountain stuck in my head. emo

I went to a bublic school but I DID knew everyone from that school ReallyXD We wheren't all tht much anyway. Only 700-ish And clsses where between 20 and 30.ar
So anyway, I lovedlike LOVED my 4 years of highschool. I would do it again Anytime. The teaching was pretty great too. Okay, our 11th years English teacher Where really sucky but yeah.. Anyway.. I think the only really good thing about Private school (in canada at least) is that since they get more money, the building isn't goingto crumble at anymoment and they can have better teacher tools.

The school (high school) here sucks really bad... very high drop out rates. Not to mention has crappy teachers... and spends all its money on sports...
I hate public schools... too much drama. No matter where you live it has the stupid drama.

I need something so spice it up.

Hold the Insomniac all night...I homeschool. But I'd rather be going to public or private school. I went to private school up until the 4th grade.
Homeschooling is okay, but I don't get along with my parents and they constantly try to control my schedual. Which means that I get into tons of fights with them.
I don't have to have these dreams no more

Haha yeah, pretty much everyone knew everyone. And there wasn't a lot of Drama really. Maybe myschool was just lte more maure than the other ones? Most money went for the Hockey team, it's true... That's the one thing that sucked. Theacher where cool. Probably because most of them where only 25-35-ish. There where only like 5 teacher that where over the 40. And one of them was my besfriend (girl)'s mother XD She was so nice too 4laugh
And yeah, The musci and the cooking teacher where ecen hanging out with us durring, and sometimes after school. Fun time, fun time.
@Bunluv: I dont think I would be able to be homeschooled... I dunno. Alway being home would drive me crazy. And it suck that your parent tries to control you schedule sad

Hold the Insomniac all night... It's not that I'm always at home. I mean, I'm taking two courses at the local college and then I go to lots of special classes and groups for extracurriculars. The main thing is that I'm almost always doing homework because my parents think I need to finish everything early. I haven't turned an assignment in on the actual due date in about a year. confused
I don't have to have these dreams no more

I didn't know everyone in my class. I graduated with 350 other students. A good amount of them I at least knew their names, but I didn't KNOW them. My teachers were pretty good- I never really had much issues with my teachers. Then again I'm a very tolerable person. I seemed to have a gift at avoiding all the bad teachers at my high school.
Our class sizes were usually in the 30 ranges. I don't know if our school had drama. I'll agree it could have spent it's money a bit more wisely- but overall it did a good job. It was a bit slow with getting things done- but it was good.

Public. I have been in Private Schools, and the people are like drones. They don't seem to have any individuality.

I am currently attending a public high school. I like it because it is one of the most prestigous high schools in the nation according to the rankings. I am in IB, so it is most likely the same as private school standards.
