I was wondering something...would anyone like or mind having a sort of newsletter thing for the guild? It would be something simple sent through PMs using the guild mule. And when I say newsletter, I guess I mean just something to let members know that something's going on in the guild and maybe it would help promote participation.
I also figured, apart from events, that it could let people know other little things like birthdays, RPs, adoption, and the like. It'd all be a group effort yet would be sent out by one. If that makes sense...
Like maybe certain people could be in charge or certain things? Kai with his birthday list is one example.
I dunno. Just a thought. I'd love some feedback. :3

Ooh, that sounds like a super idea! A lot of other guilds do this sort of thing, and I usually enjoy it, even though I visit my guilds every day.

We could put a thread in here or something for the ones willing to work on it, and in the thread others can give suggestions for what to put in it and blah.

I agree with Shia-sama, it would help getting people to do stuff. Maybe ^^;
For example, my problem is I don't get on THAT often, so I don't know what is going on. Who's doing what, where, that sorta thing. So I have no idea what threads are active/looking for people. So a newletter thingy could be a very usefull thing to promote such 'activity and togertherness' smile
That and it might actually be fun making it too ^^

Sounds like a plan...but problem is, barely anyone looks here so finding people to do something might be a little hard.
Should I maybe start the newsletter process and get people to befriend the mule then send out a PM to find help? People probably wouldn't notice that either...
I plan on editing the home page soon-ish to provide more info and the like and I could add info about the newsletter there to see it if helps bring in attention.

I think the newsletter sounds like a pretty good idea. If you just had people befriend the mule first, at least you'd know who was a. paying attention or b. wanting to get a news letter anyway, right?
I know you already said that you were gonna send out a PM looking for help, but I'd be happy to help if you need it :3

:3 Kay, well, when I redo the home page, I'll add on the mule's name and such so we can get the ball rolling on things. Maybe once people start adding the mule to their lists, I'll send the PM.
But if anyone has suggestions now about what could be included in the newsletter, feel free to go ahead and post them so we can all share ideas. :3
As for myself, I'd be taking care of the mule in general and probably events both related to the guild and Gaia. 'Course, if anyone wants a new event for the guild (like Down With Pants Week), let me know. I like hearing new idea that would get people to hopefully join in and make the guild active.

I think you mentioned just about everything that I would suggest for it already. @.o Things like:
>Active/New RPs
>New members
>Birthdays
>Discussion question/statements
>Events and Announcements of course.
>And maybe a quote/joke/link of the week (or whenever) just to shake things up a little?

That would be interesting though people would need to tell me (or whoever wants to keep up with adoptions) who's adopting who and such.
