Alright then...now I dunno how many of you use this site, www,tv.com, however it hasn't failed me yet. And there fore I'm here to bring ya somthing that some of you may or may not have seen. Here ya go. This spin-off series from Buffy the Vampire Slayer will follow Rupert Giles, formerly Buffy Summers' Watcher, as he returns to his native England to find a course for his life in working with the Watchers Council in their quests to protect the world from evil. The show was scheduled to have a September 2002 premiere, and then a July 2003 premiere. These dates were false, however and production of the show hasn't even started yet. Joss Whedon assures us though that Ripper is not cancelled, but it's the farthest project from his mind at the moment. The most we know about his style for the show is that it will roughly have six episodes per season and the show might premiere with a two hour TV Movie. All of this has yet to be written in stone though. Note: In one of the Season 7 episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, the Watcher's Council was blown up. So, the plot for this show is very well subject to change. The only thing that is known about the show for sure is that it will be a story strictly about Giles. Note #2: I thought I would also note that in Season 5 of Angel (the season that followed Buffy's last season) the Watcher's Council was rebuilt. Also, we receive word from Angel that Buffy is in Europe. Perhaps she's helping with the rebuilding of the council? Dunno if some people knew or not but w/e. Anyway, if anyone else has rumors about ANYTHING Buffy/Angel related, feel free to post.

Btw....it's www.tv.com you had a comma. Sorry to nag, but if someone wanted to use this link, they wouldn't be able to go to it. But all the info sounds fun! It would be nice to see Giles again.

I read about this as well. I also heard that Joss Whedon also really wanted to get out of television work, so....

There are loads of rumors flying aroung. I wish that Joos would just tell us if he is making it or not. Then I woudln't be so nervous waiting for a series that will never come.

Actually that was a really old rumor, that was supposed to be on BBC and thats why Giles left in season 6. Unfortunately that show never made it off the ground. Now Joss wants to try to do a miniseries on Giles' charactor or a Spike Movie.
SSC: Going back to the future of a Buffy, Angel, or Spike TV or film project, is there a realistic timeline for something happening sooner rather than later?
JW: We've talked about a Spike movie. There are a lot of characters that I would be interested in seeing again: Willow, Faith, Oz, Illyria, and Spike, obviously. I'm still dying to do Ripper [a miniseries about the Rupert Giles character]. There's a lot, but right now, I can barely keep my head above water, so nothing is on the front burner.

If your talking about the series 'Ripper' it was made and the British Networks didn't pick it up evil !!!

It was planned, and it might have been scripted, but it definitely wasn't made. I've read interviews with Tony Head saying that it's still a possibility for him, so I guess whenever he and Joss have a common break in their schedules, they'll consider doing it.

if u go tv.com now, there is new news article (9-15-05) that states that there will be a spike movie coming out soon. there'll probly be other stars from both buffy and angel cast on it but buffy herself wil NOT be on it due to the fact she doesnt want to lol

Spike movie in works, from what I hear. I need to check. However, for all James Marster and Spike info go here. Kiss Me deadly Its an awesome website for everything Spike/James Marsters. However, I have heard from several diffrent places about theSpike movie, and I think that it may be happening!!!! (also, OMG, can you beleive that James Marsters is sooo old??? He's 43 O_O)

yeah its really surprising that hes that old but that doesnt stop him from being hot lol. and if they make the movie soon then he will still look like the spike we all know and love heart
