Map 1. Intro 2.Basic Rules 3.How To Start/Join A Roleplay 4. Mini-Guilds 5. Quick-Style Roleplaying 6-Infinity. Reserved Posts I'll Probably Never Use. Basic Rules - It may look like a lot, but these are important.1. In case you're new to Gaia, here's the link to TOS (Terms Of Service). Alot of this doesn't matter that much, but alot of it does. http://www.gaiaonline.com/info/index.php?mode=tos
2. If you have questions/comments/complaints, either post them in the main forum or ask me or the vice-captains. We know stuff. Sorta...
3. Please keep track of what you're doing, and make sure it follows everything in this thread. My reasoning is that I don't want anything to get out of hand, which is why I've thought up a very careful system.
4. Have fun. I'm trying to keep from making too many rules, so if there any you don't think should be here, let me know. I don't want to be the evil dictator.
Edited by Farley Grey:
1) No flaming/trolling - No intended insults or anything meant to provoke attention, whether it's a joke or not
2) Grave digging - please DO NOT bring up/post in ANY thread that is one month old without having something productive to add to it (in your post) [ties into Rule 3 above]
3) PG-13 at the most - Don't curse too much, post porn, or do anything that would be seen as adult behavior, we don't want it
4) Grammar and Spelling - When posting in the chat forum, please try your best to apply good sentence structure to your posts (nobody will read it if it's incomprehensible)
More rules by defender158:
5. When roleplaying, read the stuff you've missed (unless it's a huge amount of stuff that's 50 pages long or something, then just get a recap from someone else).
6. If you're planning on being absent for a certain amount of time, post in the Planned Absence sticky.
7.THIS DOESN'T APPLY TO THE QUICK-STYLE ROLEPLAYS. Stay dedicated (4-5 days a week) to all of your roleplays.
8. THIS DOESN'T APPLY TO THE QUICK-STYLE ROLEPLAYS. In my opinion, roleplays are meant to be finished. So, if either a roleplay hasn't been posted in for a while or seems to have reached a good spot to finish, talk with the people in the RP about making up an ending. If a roleplay has been completed, PM (private message) me so I can add it to the Roleplay Hall Of Fame subforum.Another Edit by Farley Grey:
9. No page stretching EVER! (Straight from Nick himself)
10. If an RP has finished, seek the nearest Vice Captain (or Nick) to come and move it to the RP Hall of Fame (providing you aren't a Vice yourself)
Thanks, Chris.
No problem. EVERYONE, for any and all help with the rules, contact me or Nick via PM
Edit by defender158:
11. If you're new to the guild, feel free to make a hello thread in the Chat and Information subforum.
12. If you'd like to tell the guild when you change your username, or when you might be absent for a while, feel free to make a thread in the Chat and Information Subforum (or to post a little memo in any RPs you are in).
13. If you'd like to invite someone, go ahead and PM me.
Edit by defender158: And another rule for crew/vice captains.158. No crew member or vice captain is under any circumstances to edit/delete posts or move/lock/unlock/delete topics without the permission of the single person that is ultimately in charge of this guild (which is always me, unless I appoint someone the temporary captain).

Map 1. Intro 2. Basic Rules 3. How To Start/Join A Roleplay 4. Mini-Guilds 5. Quick-Style Roleplaying 6-Infinity. Reserved Posts I'll Probably Never Use. How To Start A Roleplay1. Mention literacy restrictions in either the title or the first post (Ex: "Non-lits only," or "semi-lits to lits only").
2. Be clear about who you're talking about in literacy restrictions. For instance, in saying "this RP is for semi-literates," that means non-literates and literates should stay out. It doesn't mean that if you can be at least semi-lit you're welcome, it means you have to be.
3. If no literacy restrictions are put, then that's the same thing as saying "everyone's allowed."
4. Put any other rules/restrictions you come up with in the first post.

Map 1. Intro 2. Basic Rules 3. How To Start/Join A Roleplay 4. Mini-Guilds 5. Quick-Style Roleplaying 6-Infinity. Reserved Posts I'll Probably Never Use. Mini-GuildsI'm sure you've noticed a subforum for mini-guilds (creatively named Mini-Guilds) Here's what that's about. If you have friends within the guild, you can start a private roleplaying group with those people (talk about it in the chat forum if you want). These private roleplays will be done in the Mini-Guild Subforum. If we get enough mini-guilds, we might even have some ultimate roleplaying showdowns between the mini-guilds. Exciting, huh?
Anyway, step 1 of starting a mini-guild is choosing a name. This name needs to be used in the title of all that group's RP's. Also, you can choose a mini-guild leader if you want.
Just 1 more thing. Before starting the group or making changes to the leader or members of the group, post it in the sticky I made in the Mini-Guilds subforum.

Map 1. Intro 2. Basic Rules 3. How To Start/Join A Roleplay 4. Mini-Guilds 5. Quick-Style Roleplaying 6-Infinity. Reserved Posts I'll Probably Never Use. Quick-Style RoleplayingThis is a subforum for all roleplayers who can't commit to a roleplay at least 4-5 days a week. You don't really have to worry about making any commitment in this subforum, just jump in when you feel like it. This way, your lack of time to spend on roleplaying won't have any negative effect on the more seriously committed roleplayers.
Not that there's anything wrong with lack of commitment, as long as nobody's hurt by it. I hope this solves that problem.

I've got a question, why are you bumping an Announcement? stare
Could this be an alternate Nick that does everything...*gasp* IN AN ODD WAY?!
Bumping Announcements and leaving the poor useless topics to die! WHAT IS THIS WORLD COMING TOO?!?!?! *falls down on his knees* WHY DID I BUY THAT $10 CD PLAYER! IT ONLY LASTED A WEEK!!! *starts crying* Only a week...*passes out*
But seriously, do you need any more rules? I could fish out some more to ruin the party. twisted
