A warehouse in Durem was abandoned several months ago. However, the Durem aristocrats have suspicions that it may not be entirely empty. Several testimonies have spoke of loud noises from inside the building and people entering and leaving the building in the dark of the night. Concerned for the well being of the aristocrats, and wanting to assert their own influence, one of the clans came to investigae.

Ned was bored. Really bored. Those rich people hired him to meet these clanspeople and show them to the haunted warehouse. Why they would want to go there was anyone's guess, but Ned wouldn't go in there for a thousand dollars. Two thousand...that would be more debatable. He shook his head again, going back to the real world, and looked around again for the clan members. Where were they?

Lilith stopped a respectable distance away from the warehouse, to compose herself once more. Not that she was ever less than glamorous, but it never hurt to have a formal appearance for meetings. The sky mage smoothed out the ruffles in her half skirt and tugged the sides of her blue shorts down a little before once more walking towards the supposedly haunted warehouse.

As she walked, Lilith gazed at the huge warehouse dispassionately. Part of her screamed out that she was crazy for wanting to go into something that large and dark, but it was only a matter of seconds before that voice was smashed beneath her more practical and sensible internal voice. The aristocrats in Durem were offering a nice reward for their efforts, and well… money was never bad. Not that they really needed it, between her own personal coffers, her member’s extended families, and of course… sponsorships… But it always looked good to go out and help others. That was how she had risen to the top, after all. Plus, a bit of experience for her clan was good. She hadn’t had the opportunity to have fun like this for a while, since nothing much had arisen in the past few months.

A few moments later, the silver haired lady stood before the building with a small grin. Of course, she could have over-dramatized their entrance a bit with cloud for the fogginess effect… but nah, she’d rather save her energy for more practical things. The sky leader glanced around – there was supposed to be someone sent from the aristocrats to explain the going-ons and whatnot. She thought she saw a figure near the warehouse; probably the Durem man. The smile was replaced by a mask reserved for dealing with business, for it betrayed none of her feelings, none of her urges to take whomever was talking and strangle them for being so boring.

“You. . . are you a representative of those who requested the services of the Sky Clan?” her voice flowed across the space to whomever might be listening. It would let both service man and clan members alike know where she was, and like moths to a light, they would come to her. The sky mage hoped that this wouldn’t be a waste of her time as she stood waiting, arms crossed across her chest.

Luke approached the building warily, taking in all the sights and sounds of this Durem back-street. Nearing the abandoned warehouse, the Sky Clan mage could easily see how such rumors could spin from the suspicion of the common folks of the city.

His blonde, wavy curls tossed lightly on a small breeze, and sent a chill down Luke's back, forcing him to pull his white cloak tighter around his tall, muscular frame. Slender fingers pulled the strings of his cloak tight, until all the clothing visible was the simple, all-white cloak. It was not closed too tight, allowing the hilt of the rapier on Luke's back to still be visible and easily accessible, but the high, stiff collar covered his neck and came up to the warrior's chin and jaws.

A soft melodic voice ran through Lucas' thoughts, with a warmth such to counter the chill that had previously ran through his body. The man knew this voice to be coming from the silver-haired lady in front of the warehouse, the leader of the Sky Clan. With a few more long strides, Luke soon stood behind her as she spoke with another man, obviously an aristocrat of Durem.

Arms crossed across his chest and a grim smile on his face, Luke listened and watched as the other two spoke and more members were to arrive.

Decira stood in the entrance to Durem, a hand on her hip. She looked up at the tall, boring buildings and sighed. Adjusting her coat, Decira stretched her arms out behind her and yawned as she strode down the familiar streets of the city. She was actually looking forward to the job, but Decira wasn't that fond of the city itself.
Durem hadn't changed much since Decira moved away, and she assumed that meant her father was still living in the same house. The girl purposely took a route towards the warehouse that skirted far away from her old home. She didn't really want to see her father, even though he was probably one of the rich ninnies who'd hired the Clan to investigate.
Suddenly, Lilith's voice began to ring in Decira's ears once again. She paused and listened for a moment to her leader. Turning the corner, she saw the huge warehouse and a few figures in front of it. Walking closer, she recognized the figures of Lilith and Luke and stepped up next to Luke, nodding a hello to her fellow clan member. Resting her hand on her hip once again, she listened as Lilith spoke with the Durem man, trying to hide her impatience to begin the task at hand.

Ned lnspected the lady. He had never been a fan of rich fancy types. So full of themselves...he had to keep reminding himself that he WAS getting paid quite a bit just to walk some strangers to a building. He adressed the lady as two more people showed up behind her. "Yes, I will be showing you to the warehouse. Is this everyone who will be coming? Just three people? Oh, and the name is Ned. Ned Perry Carlson. Nice to meet ya." He held out his hand towards the lady.

"Four people." Machina Aquarius joined his clanmates. The mission, from what he had heard, was to explore an abandoned warehouse for anything suspicious. He wasn't looking forward to this. It wasn't the location, he hadn't been in Durem for a while. He liked big cities, they had interesting people. However, the mundane task of scouring a warehouse for anything suspicious sounded boring. However, he'd take the task. "You never know, we might just find something..." he thought

A soft hum drifted gently through the air and buzzed around her head and in her ear. Ari was on her way to meet the rest of the Clan, it was her first time on an, as she would call it, a mission. She believed she was the newest member in the Sky Clan and had never been on one like this before, actually never been on a mission before at all.
"Hope I don't screw this up, it should be good training for me." Her soft sing song voice interrupted her humming.

Her long slender legs where taking short strides as she was not overly excited about going in that warehouse, but she would defiantly do what she had to. With her standard black knee high boots dragging along the ground with soft muffled sounds she sighed softly. Her honey orbs caught sight of the group in front of her, it looked as if they where all there already. Glancing down at herself she adjusted her black booty shorts and her fiery red shirt. Taking her black sweater off from around her waist she put it on and zipped it half way up.

Jogging quickly over to the group she tucked one leg behind the other and did a quick bow to her leader as she spoke quietly,
"Sorry I am so late." Her eyes caught another man in front of her she didn?t know, her eyes immediately narrowed as she looked him up and down, she would save her judgment for later at this moment she was already late for her first mission and didn?t want to be anymore of a bother to the rest of her clan.

Moving beside her other clan member's she nodded her head and smiled a quick silent hello and then looked over at her leader and the other man, letting them discuss what would be going on and working out all the details, she would just do what she was told to do when they got in the warehouse.

"The pleasure is mine," said Lilith smoothly as she grasped his hand in greeting. I can't believe those snotty Durem people sent this poor man down here to represent them. How insulting. Or desperate. I can't decide which is worse. Rose-tinged lips curved into a smile as she noted the other members who had recently arrived, and started to thank this Ned person.

"Thank you for coming out here to meet us, Mr. Carlson - I'm sure that given the choice, you'd rather... not. Oh yes, there's one more person coming. He'll make himself visable when he wishes." That would be Paddy of course... who would appear when she wanted him to if he didn't want to be seen at the moment. There was a right time for everything.

"So, could you tell us what the problem was with the warehouse?"

"Right, so we'll be off then? I'll tell you the problem on the way there." Ned started walking, thinking to himself. Maybe I can make a few extra gold pieces off of these rich types... "Well, weird noises have been coming from the warehouse recently. There shouldn't be anybody in there, but people have gone in there and said that they heard talking, and some claim they saw people. Of course, I don't put much store into tales like that, being that most of the people that said that are fools. Still, there has been a child or two thats disappeared in there, but they might have just fallen...nobody knows how they got in there, though, seeing as the door was closed at that point...Hmm, maybe there is some secret entrance…I think I might have heard about one…but I just can’t quite remember.” As he said this, he looked toward the clan leader, making a gesture for money with his hands. If she wasn’t stupid, she would know what he meant. “Oh, well how I ramble on, and here we are at the warehouse already. Any more questions? If not, just head on in." Ned looked back towards the clan members eagerly.”

Paddy's presence could be felt by the slight numbing of the sounds that were travelling in his path, and was replaced by the light footsteps of his rubber sandals. The giant wore a white shirt which seem to wrap tightly around his body to a certain extent but its ability to stretch was not hindering his ability to move. He wore his usual tropical print swimming trunk. This time it was simply colored black with white prints of leaves and trees. His hair was as white, as frizzy and as messy as it usually is. He really did not care about his hair since he knew it was going to be a mess. And with a mission with an abandoned warehouse and disappearing people, it was going to be a messy job.

"What was the warehouse used for," the giant asked as he stopped behind the rest of the group.

Ned turned towards the newcomer, a little surprized by his entrance. Man, he was huge. Ned almost hurt his neck looking up into his face. "Nobody quite remembers, but everybody pretty much agrees that it was mostly a boxing plant. Lots of empty cardboard boxes around."

Ah... children. They were always getting into places they shouldn't anyways. The little ones were probably just doing whatever little kids do, exploring everywhere and running around disturbing the peace. Yet, they were... extremely valuable, when it came to dealing with people, in particularly the old senile ones.

But these rumors... now THOSE were worth investigating. Even if they were false... interesting things popped up from them anyways. And everyone had arrived. Good.

It was also a good thing she had gone shopping though. She hating paying hired hands in anything but hard money. The lady slipped a hand into an inner pocket and pulled out a coin, smiling at this Ned man. Up and down, up and down, the coin danced along her fingers playfully, teasingly. Then, quite suddenly it flew out of her hands and landed gently in their guide's hand, followed by another one.

Two entrances made sense, if this were a boxing plant. Perhaps even three, if the owners had been sensible. It was worth the pocket change she had with her.

"Two for now," she said smoothly, "and more for when we actually get there. Oh yes... and will you be joining us on this quest?" God, she hoped he wasn't. Lilith had no idea what his fighting ability was, nor if he had the ability to defend himself. All he'd be was another liability. Yet she let none of this slip, keeping a smile on her face as another gold coin took the first's spot, dancing from finger to finger.

((ooc: I'm going on the assumption that the currency is coins, and that Lilith paid a part of a tempting (well, enough to bribe) payoff))

Ned smiled. I guess these people aren't completely oblivious. Out loud he said "Oh no, I won't be going in there. Far too dangerous for an old man like me." He smiled. "As for the entrance, I seem to be remembering now...On the left side of the building, hidden by a stack of cardboard boxes."

A soft smirk played along her lips as she listened to the conversation that was happening between her oh so smooth leader and the man she had heard being called Mr. Carlson. Noticing his actions and implications she nodded her head only slightly, deciding that for now she liked him. Slender manicured fingers ran through her hair brushing it back and letting it fall gently back down to where it had just been a second ago. Thoughts ran through her head as she turned in the direction that the warehouse was in and she narrowed her honey orbs to study the outside of it.

Placing her hands in her pocket’s she let a soft sigh slip out of her lips as she glanced at the faces of the others in her clan. She had heard him correctly when he had said the warehouse was unsafe and she knew and was ready for it. She just wondered what was going through her fellow member’s minds; shrugging her shoulders to herself she shook her head softly. Deeply hoping the nervousness would go away as their quest got underway and that it would not return for other quests they might go on.
