Voice Actor: Yuri Lowenthalb i o g r a p h y; Uchiha Sasuke is one of Konoha Gakure's (Village of the Leaf) genins (low level ninjas). At the beginning of the series, he gets assigned to Team 7 after graduating from Ninja Academy top of his class. He's paired up with Uzumaki Naruto and Haruno Sakura, while the jounin (high level ninja) Hatake Kakashi is in charge of them.
Sasuke excels at both ninjutsu and taijutsu, and is able to perform quite a bunch of fire jutsus, such as Katon Ryuuka no Jutsu (Dragon Fire), Katon Housenka (Mythical Fire Flower) and Katon Goukakyuu no Jutsu (Powerful Fireball) -- all commonly used by members of the Uchiha family. Moreover, he has the ability of awakening the Sharingan (and he does, during a mission in the Water Country), an advanced bloodline which enables his eyes to copy techniques, among other things. Later on, Kakashi teaches him to master the Chidori, a powerful jutsu the jounin himself invented.
And so, you could say Sasuke is natural-born genius. The Uchiha Clan being one of the most famous and respected families in Konoha, everyone expected great things from the boy since the moment he was born. However, he had a high hurdle to overcome right from the beginning -- his older brother Itachi was amazingly talented and little Sasuke didn't even come near his brother's level at the same age. He began training hard every day, in order to reach his brother and be acknowledged by his father.
Unfortunately, tragedy hit the entire Uchiha Clan when Sasuke was still a little boy. All the members were completely wiped out one day (including his parents, Fugaku and Mikoto), without any warning or visible reason whatsoever. All except two, Sasuke -- who was the one to first find out about the massacre -- and Itachi... the one actually responsible for it. Itachi left his little brother live, fled Konoha and became a missing nin who ultimately joined the criminal organisation known as the Akatsuki.
Sasuke then find himself completely left alone very early in his life. Only one thing made him keep walking forward: the desire to kill his brother and avenge his Clan. And so he kept training in order to one day be able to beat Itachi, while at the same time isolating himself from everyone and everything that could distract him from his goal. Sasuke was already a silent and lonely child before the tragedy, but his loss seemed to destroy all capability of building human bonds.
And that's where Team 7 takes the stage. Much to Sasuke's discontent, Naruto, Sakura and Kakashi become his true family before he can even do anything to prevent it. The three begin knowing the real Sasuke and caring about him, while he in exchange would do anything to protect them. It's that, precisely, what makes him believe he's not improved one bit and is no closer to beating his brother than he was at the beginning. And so he makes the decision of cutting the bonds he took so much time building and take the people most important for him out of his life. He ultimately leaves Konoha and joins Orochimaru (another Konoha missing nin) in order to become stronger.
But of course, Sasuke is not a person you can easily forget about. Both Naruto and Sakura have made the decision to bring him back from darkness, whatever the cost may be, no matter how long it takes them. They're determined to save Sasuke from his own personal hell.d i s c u s s;

What do you think of Sasuke?
Poor Sasuke. That's honestly what I think. It's very heart-breaking to see someone so innocent as a child having to deal with what's happened. I think that he's going down the wrong way of doing things, but you can't blame him. After all, he didn't really have much to teach him RIGHT when he was eight.
Do you think he will ever get his revenge?
Yes. Whether his team is alive or not...I have a pretty strong feeling that Itachi's going to die. >>;
Do you think he truly hates Itachi?
:/ Yes. And no. Yes because...well, it's hard to NOT hate someone who betrayed you at that level.
No, because Itachi is his BROTHER, and after loving him for eight entire years, it's hard to lose all of that. I think the hatred overrides the love, though.

What do you think of Sasuke?
I think many people are too harsh on him. I keep hearing "get over the fact that your brother killed your clan" or "Sasuke is soooo emo."
Well I don't blame Sasuke for being the way he is. Lets not forget that his clan was killed only about 3 years ago. I surly would not be over it either. In fact I do believe he is taking alot better than I would of. Just think losing everyone you loved in one night and right in front of your eyes. Not only that but by the person you looked up to and trusted the most.
Also he was 9 years old, that would tramatize any kid that age. I do believe that Sasuke died that night along with the rest of the clan.
So in my opinion I pitty Sasuke but I admire him for being able to pull himself together and live even if it is only to kill his brother.... in some sense in the end Itachi saved him from his own death.
Do you think he will ever get his revenge?
Thats hard to say, I wanna say yes but at the same time, I often wonder if he will beable to do it... but I guess this kinda goes into the next question....
Do you think he truly hates Itachi?
No, my reasons being is that Sasuke still follows Itachi's words and still strives to pass his brother even if he tells himself that it is the only way to kill him. I do believe that Sasuke still see's Itachi as his older brother and loves him deeply, that is why his hate seems so powerfully strong, if it wasn't he might let the love he feels for his brother to show through.

Definatly uke... its in his name after all. LOL. But seriously Itachi just seems to over powering to submit to his younger brother.
Other Sasuke pairings?
The only other that I like is SasuNaru and maybe SasuSaku on occassion.

Honestly, I think he's a poor little boy. Even if he's nearly legal in the United States, he may act mature, but that's only because he was forced to grow up faster than most genin. Itachi literally broke every fiber in Sasuke's heart and made a lot of horrible things happen to Sasuke.
He has every damn right to be emo, so bashers should stop! Besides, we've never seen gashes and scratch marks all over Sasuke unless he was fighting somebody. Naruto was the idiot that stabbed himelf with a kunai He doesn't really deserve to be bashed, though he did do some horrid things.
Do you think he will ever get his revenge?
More than likely, yes. Naruto is all about making their dreams come true and learning that even ninja are human. Not that I want him to kill Itachi just to avenge his clan, but I still I believe he will.
Do you think he truly hates Itachi?
No. He could never really hate Itachi because of the brotherly bond they had. You have to admit, if most of us were Shinobi and Kunochi our older siblings probably wouldn't take the time to show us kunai tricks.

Neither. Seke, he should be both because I would laugh if he was Seme since we all know Itachi is the mad killing machien. <3

Hmm...At times...He's okay. But he's a traitor, and that breaks my heart. D: I loved him as a kid...SO ADORABLE! And he's great in SasuHina and SasuNaru (YES! Seme. O-o) fanfictions. :3 But other than that...Gosh, why can't he be 1337 like Neji and overcome destiny? And go marry Hinata. -shot-

What do you think of Sasuke?
I LOVE that poor boy and his utter broken self. He is essentially a child, if one were to examine him closely. Sasuke may have grown in age, but in heart, he does not truly know what else there is for him to do in life, other than try to find peace in his life once more by avenging the death of his clan.
That is where Team 7 must come in of course and they show him that there is a path out of darkness and that they CAN live alongside one another. heart
Do you think he will ever get his revenge?
I do. However, after the revenge, it might be a big "what now?" to Sasuke. Ever since he was a child, it was Itachi he had dreamed about killing and only him. Maybe after his first goal is complete, he will realize that he is human, not only a ninja.

No, I truly do not think he hates Itachi. Yet he attempts to.

It's cool to be a medic ninja and take Sasuke in a car back to Ohio! >.< God, Orochimaru's an a**, he was trying to get Sasuke back...AND KAKASHI WAS DRIVING LIKE A MANIAC! It was fun. =D

Understand that even if people say he's too "emo", or he should get over the fact he lost everything, because he's got people he can call friends now, that isn't enough for someone like Sasuke to get used to. Think about how you'd feel, like how you'd really feel if your entire family died in an instant, by the one person who you idolized, and wanted to be like. Someone who had your blood flowing through their veins. ;|
For me, no, I think I would have gone completely insane. v-v I can't even imagine what would happen to me if my entire family was destroyed by my sibling.
When everything happens so quickly, you can't expect someone to get over it so quickly, let alone go on with life like Sasuke did, even if he clings to the fabric that keeps him going.
Agreeing to what Akiru-chan said, I do believe Sasuke died along with his Clan that night.
Do you think he will ever get his revenge?
No. Sadly I don't believe Sasuke will be the one to kill Itachi. [Yet he'll die.;|]
T-T But that's my choice to believe, and the next question leads onto why.
Do you think he truly hates Itachi?
No, not really. If it hasn't been noticed, Sasuke is still trying to surpass his brother like he had when he was younger. It means Itachi may still be somewhat of an idol to the younger Uchiha, even if it's not completely understood in the anime/manga.
Even if he tries to kill Itachi, there's always going to be some type of "love" factor in Sasuke for his brother. No matter how many bad deeds he has done, you can't really hate someone that you used to/still look up to. the memories obviously mean something to Sasuke, and always will as long as he allows himself to remember them.

Sasuke is such an angst-ridden character. I LOVE angst. I LOVE Sasuke; his young self, his Genin self, and his present self. He can be an adorable little kid, or a complete b*****d, and he would be my favorite character regardless. I've grown so attached to him.. if he were to die, a part of me would die with him. D:

He is not a perfect character by any means. He has plenty of flaws, but his flaws are what make him human.

First off, how could you NOT hate the person who kills your FAMILY? The one person you used to look up to, and BETRAYED you?
Secondly, they're brothers. Scientific theories be damned; I don't believe in truly hating your sibling and not loving them at all. I honestly think Sasuke still loves him, but only deep, deep, deep down.

I don't like Sasuke being uke, but in pairings such as this.. the uke role just calls to him.

sasuke is awesome, he is completly dedicated to his goal, and determined ot get stronger no matter what, letting nothing hold him back, i admire that determination. and he turns evil!!! what is better than that?

However, he has a chance of being happy if.. Orochimaru would just die, and if Team 7 would just knock some sense into him. Am I the only one who realizes they have YET to try to rescue him together?! It's either been just Kakashi, just Sakura, just Naruto, or just Naruto and Sakura.

But his redemption has been foreshadowed~ So I'm not giving up hope yet.
Although.. what the Kyuubi said about his 'evil' chakra bothers me. I think there's a horrible secret about the Uchiha clan that we have yet to figure out, and if that's the case, maybe it would be best if the clan was not revived. Which would mean.. Sasuke could very well die.
