I'd like to do some improvements to this guild for 2007. The EoED has been a bit too slow for its intended purpose. I's like to clean it up a bit, find some new people, design uniform graphics, etc etc.

The problem is how, and I'm calling on you all for help with that.

First, I will be setting up a graphics contest. This will be for uniform banners for both signatures and the guild home. You may use the designs posted in the banners thread, and if a different design is picked those banners will still be open. There will be a prize in gold and/or items, actual prize to be determined later.

Second, I will be cleaning up the stickies. I am open to suggestions.

Third, and this will always be the case, I would like to see more people in here. Considering we also have a writing/critiquing forum (which is pretty much dead), recommending users for that purpose is fine.

I am also pondering making a mule for this guild. I'd like some input.

I've been intending to make a new banner for here, actually... mostly just because I'm abnormally picky and like to use standard sized banners and buttons -- it makes everything more... y'know. Cleaner. xp

Maybe a recruiting contest? I don't know how well that'd really work out, since the whole point of the guild is to regulate who can be in here, but... well, maybe.

Or specific people could be designated recruiters -- basically obligated to spend a certain amount of time trying to drum up interest? And not just in the regular ED -- Q&A regulars might like it here, or people from the books forum, the gaming forum, things like that. The people who avoid the ED for the same reasons that we do wish we could. xd

I don't know about the idea of designated recruiters.


If you find any non-ED people who you think will do well, send them here. Books forum people would be good for the writer's subforum. But again, people from other places would be good. I'll look through The Gaian Elite Guild for good people. Any other guilds is good too.

A little note: Don't worry if the potential recruitee is "good, but not THAT good." At this point I'm not looking for perfection. I've got a hand on the banhammer in case some idiot slips through. 3nodding
