History: Mikomi was raised in the mountains outside of Nagano, living the life of a simple farm girl. Her father was a captain of a war from long ago, and her mother, a maiden who had came across him during one of his travels, in a restaurant. However, neither of them knew they were Cursed, or Demented. When the first arose, an ancestor from her father's side had commited a sin against the Cursed Blood community; That ancestor, had fell in love with a Demented Blood. In punishment, the Cursed Blood community had cursed her heavily, before exiling her. The curse was:
"If anyone in her bloodline in the future fell in love with a Demented Blood ever again, the couple will never be. Any small mere act, any kiss on cheek nor lips do not matter, as long its held with affection, the punishment initated by you shall be brought down upon them, for the safety of the rest of the community."
Many years later, it was repeated. Everyone in that bloodline who had fallen in love with a Demented Blood had died a terrible deaths. Generations later, Mikomi's father, Gengyo, and Mikomi's mother, Toshiko, fell in love with another, and later on had children; 2 boys, and 2 girls, Mikomi being one of them. However, they had not last long. Once they felt the powers Mikomi was exerting at her birth, they questioned each other, finding out that they're true bloods. Slowly, insecurity and unsureness occured between both of them which led them to arguments. As soon as Mikomi's youngest sister was born, Toshiko left the household, never to be seen again. Nonetheless, the four children held a content childhood, and the fact that Mikomi being a Half Blood was never revealed until their village got invaded. Before it was invaded, Mikomi was bored with life, even though she took the role as a mother, a daughter and a sister of the family, she felt like she was going through the same activities day after day. Though, there was attempts to keep her from being bored; learning martial arts, blacksmithery, literature, and visual arts. When the family gathered enough money, they had sent her off to school to learn academics, in order to help with the market that she was so eagar to help in. However, she met a Demented Blood named Sakito Shintaro, and from there, many things collapsed and fell into turmoil. Even though they argue daily, they became close within a short period of time, and eventually, a small childhood love was slowly budding. But, Sakito's uncle who had adopted him was head of a movement that lead the genocide of Cursed Bloods, and was conducting experiments regarding Half Bloods. When seeing his nephew being so close to Mikomi, which he sensed a faint aura of a Half Blood, Sakito's uncle forbade Sakito to see her ever again, and trained him intensive military combat to pass the time instead of spending time with Mikomi and her family. Days later, the village was struck with invasion by the same group Sakito's uncle had led, capturing humans and Cursed Bloods alike, and forcing them to migrate North and live in cramped cells. One by one, Mikomi's father, brothers, and youngest sister had died before her eyes, besides her own nephew, Magobei who was the child of one of her brother's, which isn't clairified. 7 years, she was imprisoned there, slowly gaining an ill mentality. When it came to a point where she broke, and frightened her nephew, Mikomi knew she had to escape; To die, or die trying. Eventually, she did escape with her nephew to a nearby monestary in the mountains, and hid there. Unfortunately, it was a monestary where her childhood friend, Sakito once lived before being adopted, and the gossip amongst the monks had reached her ears. Sakito, after 7 years, grew to be a military official, taking part in the genocide. Mikomi also had heard rumors of a secret Resistance group against Demented Bloods, called the Meibatsu who was against the genocide. But most shockingly of all, one night, she was overcome with cramping and night sweats, screaming from her bed while tossing and turning, claiming to see images. Schizophrenia had finally taken its toll on Mikomi in result of the genocide. Thinking that a spirit had possessed her, because she seemed fine when she came in the monestary, the monks performed an exorcism upon her, but instead, had found out that Mikomi was a Half Blood, since they couldn't find any other spirit besides her. In result, with her spirit force was pulled out instead, Mikomi was probably not going to live past her 30's. When she was informed, Mikomi faced a tough decision; stay with her nephew and risk the chance of them being killed due to the fact she was a Half Blood, or leave him here in the monestary so they won't know he is related to Cursed Blood descent. And the fact that Sakito who was a military official didn't seem right to her either. And this whole war ... It felt ridiculous to Mikomi, and yet it felt different. A change in life, and the lives of innocents were not fair; Mikomi wanted to do something, in order for her nephew and her to live happily. In order to avenge her family, and for no family to ever seperate in this way again. In the end, Mikomi left the monestary, bidding farw well to Magobei, promising to return and headed to the plains, searching for any member of the Meibatsu. There, she came across the head of the organization, Hiroshi Okamoto, and tried to convince him for her to join the organization, but was rejected due to the fact that she was a female. This, being a hard blow on her hopes, Mikomi resorted to more extreme measures. She knew that she couldn't get in contact with Demented Bloods alone, and they surely weren't going to accept her alliance. In result, Mikomi masqueraded as a man and asked Hiroshi once more. This time, he agreed, and placed Mikomi as an assassin and spy and was given the kusari gama as a weapon. From then, she accomplished her missions discreetly and quickly. Because of her display of her wit, cunning, and spiritual powers, even though she is quite weak in physical strength. She was able to learn Necromancy through Hiroshi, and taught the art of Mesmer magic on her own. Because she learned it quickly and efficiently, many have rumored her to be the Half Blood mentioned in the prophecy. Word of this in the Meibatsu quickly spread, indeed believing that Mikomi was the justice of the Cursed Bloods, and destruction of Demented Bloods, but Mikomi denied all claims to the prophecy. She was just waiting for the day she sees Sakito again, and convince him to stop the genocide. But when that day came, Mikomi did not recognize him; Sakito's personality changed all together. He was set on creating a utopia, and to please his uncle, and realizes Mikomi as an enemy, though he doesn't know it is her since she is dressed like a man. But upon seeing this, it encourages Mikomi more to stop Sakito's contributions to the genocide. But what also happens is that Mikomi has come to ponder her reasons why she so desperately wants to stop Sakito by resorting to these kinds of predictaments. It leads her to stumble and ponder her feelings towards Sakito, if she should consider him as a friend anymore, now that he was set on a utopia. Yet, Mikomi still didn't back away ... Ah ... Perhaps, it is love ... Perhaps the wheels of misfortunate events of romance will begin to spin once more.
