Super Name: Kat's Paw Name: Kala Marko Powers: Sympathetic magic passed down through her family blood line...by carving animals into objects, she can turn into various animals. (if a jade is carved into a jaguar, she would become a humanoid jaguar, but if it that animal is carved into an actual jaguar bone, she'd become the real animal (but still with her own thoughts)...the power being the strongest if carved into the same bone of it's kind) Hero or Villian: Hero Appearance:  Backstory: Coming from a long line of tribal priestesses, Kala was taught at a young age of her mother's sympathetic magic, and how to harness her own , training for many years under the watchful eye of her mother and grandmother, but Kala found she was not happy in the role destiny seemed to have dealt her. When her little sister was born, a discussion was held, and her mother agreed to let Kala leave at the age of 17 to find her own place in life, letting her sister carry on the heritage in the meantime, but agreeing that if she was needed, she would return to help her people.

Powers:Energy Manipulation: Ruby (can use the power to create various things from ruby light, shields, power blasts, physical objects, etc. These have no effect on blue objects...), Personal Invulnerability, Limited Flight (uses power to short circuit gravity, and a small amount of TK to push himself around, not enough to break the atmosphere, but enough to get around downtown, say...)
Apperance:In costume, a dashing figure in red and black (no capes!)
Marvel equivalent:This level's of the Multiverse's Juggernaut
Hero or Villian:Hero
Backstory:Married to the beautiful Kala, Marko's only other love was exploring ruins to bring back historical relics for preservation purposes, also selling some small trinkets in the shop they both owned. On one expedition, he found a huge glowing ruby crystal that seemed to vibrate almost with a life of its own, but before he knew it, he was fleeing the temple and the ruby exploded into a million pieces, on of which lodged in his lower spine. The material was conductive, so it didn't interfere with his nerve transmissions, but he found he could manipulate a new form of ruby colored energy because of the accident. Seeks the reason for the explosion, but also any sign of shards of the crystal, hoping to restore it and increase his own power.

Name: Fauve Rhian [Fauve for short] Salmalin means "Wild and Uninhibited magic maiden" a mix of french and welsh xP
Powers: wild magic [i.e talk to animals, shape shift] and elemental magic. a little bit of healing powers.
Hero or Villian: unknown [for now]
Appearance: -thinking- xP
Backstory: A loner in her childhood, Fauve Rhian was shunned by everyone because of her 'supposed' ability to talk to animals. Living with abusive parents until she was thirteen, the formerly quiet and shy girl became a wild rebel. Fleeing home, she joined a wolf pack in the unhabited mountains nearby and lived with them for two years, nearly turning into a wolf herself [not literally, as behavior-wise.] Never realizing that her ability to talk to animals was a power, she believed that she was a freak, possibly not even human. Another factor that led to this belief was her rapid healing ability. Most of the bruises her parents gave her faded within a few hours, broken bones seemed fine after a day or so.
What gave her the most shock was her ability to manipulate elements. Often, while being beaten by her parents, the wind outside would suddenly grow fierce, blowing in through the windows and throwing things everywhere, causing her parents to leave her alone while trying to shut the windows that were just closed. While washing her hands, Fauve discovered that she was able to shape the water whatever way she wanted. At a young age, sticking her hand through a fire, she discovered that fire wasn't hot... in fact it was a warm friendly feeling aS if the flame was licking her hand. Whatever she tried to grow in the school garden, flowers, fruits and vegetables alike, grew faster and larger than any one else's.
While living with her wolf pack, Fauve was able to gain better control over her powers, as she was in the forest where her wild attempts of controlling elements wasn't visible to other humans. She later met a wild mage [magic with animals] Veralidaine and her husband Numair Salmalin as he was called, who use to be one of the strongest mages in his home country tortall. Taking her in, they both trained her in her magic powers, finally giving her the power to have absolute control over her powers. Veralidaine, on discovering that Fauve had the potential in shapeshifting, taught her how to shapeshift into different animals, warning her that morphing into immortal 'rare' animals [i.e. unicorn, phoenix] would be disasterous and may even lead to her death. Numair taught her elemental and healing magic, and after they were sure she had mastered her powers, they let her return to her former home in the city. Before she left, they legally adopted her.

Name: Anubis Powers: dark magick Hero or Villian: Villan Appearance:  Backstory: Anubis was once the egyptian God of death and the afterlife. His soul was locked into a ceramic urn, and was watched over like a hawke. Thousands of years later, the urn had shown up in a bookstore. Name: Etain
Power: Power to see the truth behind anything she sees or hears and can make anyone sees what she wants them to see. Small telepathic gift can't project but can read things linked with strong emotions (i.e. greatest fear, happiest moment).
Hero or Villain: Ends up good though she may start out evil. Still working on that bit.
Appearance: Usually dressed in pure black. Red hair with an occasional black streak and smoky gray eyes. Medium height and athletic build. When she's working she may change her appearence a bit to make who ever she's talking to a bit more at ease so that they open up more.
Back-story: Etain's the youngest of three daughters descended from a long line of magically gifted women. The gifts ranged from elemental gifts to the Sight however Etain's the first with a gift over truth and illusions. Being the youngest she was pretty much left alone to learn how to use her gift on her own though she was expected to stay with the family. At 16 she ran away and has been semi-hiding from her family since then. She is an independent spirit and sometimes has trouble with authority. While her methods may seem odd she usually gets the job done in her own time. When not fighting Etain can be found either dancing, acting or writing, basically anything she can hide her true self behind. She does know several martial arts techniques along with a street fighting style that she doesn't hesitate to use if the job calls for it. Since she was young she's had an intrest in forien languages and has semi learned a couple while she is still studying a couple more (all the better to scare someone/make someone see/hear something in their own language twisted ) She's currently working for the local newspaper and has made a name for herself with her hard hitting but true stories and her ability to cover the goings on with the local heroes and villains. twisted ninja

Name: Reselda Powers: Can shield anyone from most anything and has the ability to heal other's wounds by taking them onto herself. Though she rarely uses it she can transfer wounds she's taken to others. As part of her gift she can tell when someone is injured physically and how bad it is. While she hasn't quite learned how to control it she does have a small empathy gifts that is activated by touch. She seems to always know when there's trouble due to a fine tuned and powerful sense of danger and panic though it's completly uncounsious. Hero or Villain: Hero Appearance: Sky blue eyes and straight brown hair that hangs just above her chin. She's fairly tall and thin and usually dresses in jeans and a t-shirt. She does have a slight Irish/British lilt to her voice though she would never admit it and has no idea what people are talking about if they mention it to her. (personal experience: everyone says I have an accent but I have yet to hear any difference to the way others talk razz ) Back-story: Reselda is a young street kid who somehow manages to stay fairly healthy. While she seems really shy and timid if pushed to far she knows quite a few street fighting techniques that she'll employ. She was kicked out at age 10 after being repeatedly beaten by her father because her parents and neighbors feared her gift and has been living on the streets for the past 3 years. While she is not afraid of her powers she rarely uses them afraid of how others would react. Though she knows nothing of who she's descended from Reselda comes from a long line of people gifted similar to her with each generation becoming more powerful. The line reaches as far back as the Sineaters residing in the Celtic territories. Her father was a devote Catholic and a history buff so when her gifts started to develop he was reminded of the myths and became afraid of his daughter as did her stepmother (though she was never told that the woman was not her real mother). Name: Katrina Schuler, aka Siren Powers: Can put others in a trance-like state with her singing and they will do whatever she says; can shatter one's eardrums and recieve a few select memories from normal people put under her 'spell', as well as temporarily receiving the powers of whatever 'hero' who hears her. Siren's powers are of course limited by proximity. Hero or Villian: Hero, though afraid of her powers Appearance: Mid-back length blonde hair, clear innocent blue eyes, just a bit small for her age. Costume consists of a bluegreen skirt, shell-colored top with a single shoulder strap, and darker bluegreen low-heeled boots.  (closest I can get to a piccy) Backstory: Katrina Schuler was born and raised in a small German countryside town, where her powers began showing themselves while she was still very young. It hurt young Katrina that she was not allowed to sing, since she loved it so, but it hurt more to see others inadvertently controlled by her voice. Eventually, she was forced to move from her town by villagers afraid of her gift. Before leaving, the village seer, or wisewoman as they called her, told Katrina of an American girl with the power of truth who could free her from her curse. What the wisewoman did not do, however, was tell Katrina anything else or give her money to travel to America sweatdrop

Powers: Telekinesis (still thinking)
Hero or Villian: Hero, starts out as a side kick.
Appearance: A bit shorter than average, medium build. Looks a bit exotic (almost Hawaiian) with a medium dark tan, almond shaped green eyes and dark brown wavy hair just past her shoulders. (Haven't figured out her hero outfit yet sweatdrop )
Backstory: A college student with an Art History Major found a job at the local Antique store to help pay her way through school. Is unaware of the goings on after store closing or when Kala, her manager, disappears for hours at a time. Obviously has a huge appreciation for art and loves history. Also loves to read and spends the majority of her free time studying. Is curious by nature and tends to find herself in sticky situations because of it. Tends to drop things when she gets really excited or nervous about something.
Hasn't realized her abilities yet. She just knows that weird things happen to her all the time, such as items falling from shelves when she walks past them.

Powers: Manly a martial artist. Super fighting machine if you will. Spped and agility and if provoked a whole lot of power.
Hero or Villian:Hero
Appearance: Hair dyed to a light blueish-lavander color. Lavander eye shadow and riddon tiara. A light blue sleeveless shirt with lavender trim and lavender bracers. Light blue pants with Lavender ish boots. (City of heros character lol)
Backstory: Her family comes from a long line of gaurdians. On her 18th birthday once she was given the family airloom, her family was massacred by some mystrious group. She has now vowed vengance coming to a new city insearch of those creeps and to get use to her new super fighting ablity.

Appearance: Due to his nature any Regular person who has seen him hasnot lived to tell the tale and any hreo who has seen him, saw him in disguise.
Backstory:discovering his powers at an early age he kept tem to himself untill oneday, he unleashed his gift upon a highschool bully. The knowladge if the fatal use of his power corrupted his mind to evil.
