It could be... interesting.

However, just like Michael Bay doing Transformers, it could easily be s**t. I mean, M Night Shyamalamalan is know for how good The Sixth Sense is, but his last two movies (The Village and Lady of the Lake) were seriously shite.

Plus isn't Avatar a cartoon about people kicking each other in the face? Since when is M Night Shyamawhatever an action director?

That is a good point. He better hire some fight choreographers (preferably the same ones from the show).

I'll need to see how he handles it. Hopefully he won't be riding high on his fame like Gaiman is at the moment and have nobody editing his work. If the original creators could get in on this, it could be good.

Remember, "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" was Ang Lee's first action movie.

On the other hand, this is M Night we're talking about.

Either way, I don't have Nickelodeon and have never seen Avatar and therefore don't care much either way.

I don't see how Shyamalan is a good match to Avatar. Avatar's strength's are it's likable characters, good fights, epic overall story, light comedy ("light" isn't quite the right word, but I can't think of the right one), and ineteresting designs (some of my favorites being the animals). I can't think of a Shyamalan movie that had any of those.
