Melantha peered ahead through the trees. Was that a shadow? The mist of another kiri? She watched for some time more, keeping perfectly still. Maybe it hadn't been such a good idea to venture out of Hesperides. But it had never done her any harm before. At any sign of danger she simply used her mist to its advantage and fled the area.
Still, she sensed no danger from whatever was moving up ahead. She moved slightly to gain a better view.Post 2 for Hiroshi: Pegasuu grazed peacefully on the rich green grass of the fields outside of Barton, near a strangely misty woods. His white coat gleamed beautifully in the sunlight and he was relaxed as his mane blew lightly in the breeze. Post 3 for me: Melantha moved slowly towards the edge of the woods. Yes, she could definitely see something moving ever so slightly outside the woods. There was a field there she remembered. Still sensing no danger, Melantha kept on until she was right at the last of the trees. Gaining a better view now, she peered out to the field beyond. Ahh, she thought. A creature somewhat like myself but not quite the same. And white! She watched the unicorn eating. Post 4 for Hiroshi: Pegasuu hears a slight rustle coming from the trees and his ears perk up a bit foward. He turns his head softly and sees a shadow.. Is that another dream horse? Perhaps a mare? He projects a dream into the shadows mind, presenting himself as a mortal man, with curly blond hair, a reasonably strong body, white wings, and a horn coming from his brow. The shadow being projected as a cloaked figure near the brush "Hello there, Who are you?" Post 5 for me: Melantha reared up in fright. She came very close to dashing away but managed to stop herself, all her senses somehow calmed by this vision. Yes, a vision it was, she told herself. This isn't real, it can do me no harm. But who is causing this? Remembering the object of her attention only moments ago, she looked back out to the field. The white unicorn was still there, but she could see that he had stopped eating and turned his gaze to her. He certainly didn't look menacing and Melantha still felt no fear from either the unicorn or the vision in front of her. She had always been able to trust her senses before.
Knowing she could not communicate with this creature as she would with another kiri, Melantha decided she must show him she meant no harm either. He certainly seemed to be in no danger out in the field, despite it being so open and the grass sure did look inviting. Maybe some company would be nice while she tasted some of the deep green grass.
Melantha made her way cautiously out towards the white unicorn.

Pegasuu notices her initial reaction at the dreamlet he sent. He feels that she may be schocked by the vision so sends another one, this time of himself and herself, now that he saw her as another horse within the ominous-seeming misty wooded area. Obviously she was no dream equine..
"Hello there pretty mare, I am Pegasuu, a dream equine. I can not communicate verbally and don't think you can either. I can only communicate through dreams I send out to a mind, you may reply simply by going along with the dream."

Melantha saw the second vision. Seeing herself in it, she now realised that the other unicorn was sending these images to her as a way to communicate. Then the voice started to come through to her. Melantha knew she wasn't hearing the voice aloud. It was almost like the mindspeaking that she used with other kiri but it was different. She could only just make out the words. Together with the image, she gained the understanding that this white male wanted to be friends. Not hesitating anymore, Melantha trotted out to the field.

Pegasuu felt joy as he saw the black unicorn trotting to him peacefully, reassured by the dream he projected to her. He whinnied happily, tossing his mane softly in the wind "So what are you called mare?" He asked in the same dream. "Just think your reply and the words will be projected into the dream."

Melantha arrived next to Pegasuu. Feeling his question, because she couldn't really say she was hearing it, she tried to respond as he had suggested. "Melantha is my name. I am of the kirishitsuno species. I am pleased to meet one alike though not the same. May I join you in grazing this fine looking grass?"

Pegasuu replied "Melantha is a beautiful name, and what is the kirshitsuno specie? I've never heard of it in all my time of carrying dreams, and I am please in the same manner" He continued with a happy neigh. "Of course you may, its very lush and delicious."

"We live in the garden of Hesperides, although as you can see we sometimes venture out into gaia. There are not that many of us. There are of course other creatures in Hesperides, more abundant than us. Where do you come from?" Melantha spoke into her mind and hoped he could feel her message.

"The garden of the Hesperides?" He asked quizically. "Where is this Garden? I've never heard of it. And oh, are they friendly?" He nibbled at some grass then said "I hail from a comet in the cosmos.." He said, projecting the starry cosmos of outer space and a beautiful comet streaming by.

Hmm, Melantha had not heard of anyone coming from out in space somewhere, how very unusual. "The creatures are friendly, yes," she thought in her mind for him to hear. "They are mostly shy of humans unless they find one they trust and bond with. The Garden is found by going through a special gate in gaia."

"Ah I see.. how very interesting, and that's nice to hear. And oh shy to humans? I find them to be quite sociable but hardly ever materialize when around them, I mostly just see them in dreams though. And o wooow, I don't think there's a way to return to my home, sadly but there are other dream equines around."

Melantha wondered if it would be lonely not being able to return to your home. Then she realised Pegasuu would hear her thoughts. "Oh I don't mean to upset you," she tried to apologise in her mind. "It's just that I can easily go from Hesperides to gaia and back again. Well, fairly easily. Sometimes I need to create a bit of mist to conceal myself."
