I liked this anime. It probably could have had a better end, but I was satisfied with the ending the series had. I haven't seen the film ofr the party collection OVA yet. So that I am looking forward to.

I liked it at first but then I didn't like the ending it was rubbish. The films ending was even worst. I am hoping that the manga will be good though

Well...think it as a different story when you read the manga and anime in FMA
Cause the anime just make on their own ending(Like one of my favorite manga Violinist of Halmn,man...I hate the ending part in anime. The manga part is 100% much better than that one >"<)
Well...I dun mind the ova ending
But to me,I'd still stick for the manga one more xd

I just wish Japan would make the mangas faster.

Actually i really think the ending of the FMA was great(i considered the movie as ending of the FMA)....Who would have thought that an alchemist can even transmute Whirlwinds...Hahaha...

The best thing about FMA was the Chibi Party OVA because it was quite funny.

I've still got to see the film. It should be released in the UK soon if it hasn't been already. I can't remember... Well I want to see it because I liked the ending to the series so I hope the film will also be good. I don't know why you don't like the series ending, it was good. Not great but at least it was 1/2 decent.

((spoilers)) I wouldn't consider being stuck in pre-war germany much fun. ((end))

I'm way behind the other FMA fans. cry
The whole equivalent exchange thing makes a lot of sense though. Even in real life it actually applies!

Yup! Equivalent exchange is really the Law of Conservation of Mass! It was cool learning that in science when I was watching the anime.

I'm collecting both the anime and the manga, and I have to say that the manga has turned out to be much more interesting. Don't get me wrong, the anime was good, and I don't think the ending was all that bad (but I do wish that more would have been concluded), but as a plot-lines go, the manga has a much more "mystery air" to it. Plus, you get to see more of the lesser characters, and *le gasp* Al has a personality! He's quite funny in the manga, when in compared to the anime, was just really whiney.

xd Al has a personality. I might like Al in the manga then. I can sympathize with him... after all stuck in a giant suit of armor can't be great. However, in the anime all he seems to do is b***h and moan.... NOBODY CARES!

So true, so true. That IS all that he does, and you're right; I don't think anybody does care. I don't, at least. xd
You know what I also like about the manga? I like seeing how Roy's gang has more of a role in the manga. They really work with Ed and Al to help them with the homunculi when the plot starts to get thick. There's also more romance that get's developed between Roy and Riza and Ed and Winry in the later chapters, for those of you who like pairings. whee

*Sorta spoilers* wahmbulance The romances kinda fell through in the anime when the movie ended. I cried inside...I'm a bit RoyxRiza fan, and the think with the balloon was a depressing end for the two, even though no one died. The cast party was funny though. mrgreen wahmbulance *End of sorta spoilers*
