I dont know many arts that have combat exams on anything but black belt, but kindai has a combat exam when your testing for brown 1st degree and a multiple attacker combat exam for going to 2ed degree brown. 3 person multiple attacker combat exam for black belt.
but anyway tonight a few of the higher belts where testing and they needed and i was one of the attackers in the multiple person exam and holy crap, his hands move so fast i had to keep my head down anytime i went near him, i was eventually called K.O. due to a Blow to the head that if he had been going on full power and duck at the last sec probably would have K.O.ed me not to mention there was a strike where if i took a shot to the throat
gahh im so proud to have been part of that
discuss: Combat exams have you been in one? have you HAD one? would you do one, why or why not?

well i know randori is sparing but um
the multiple person combat exam is the tested has to basically fight two other people and win. its so much sparing, but not so much a real fight. its probably as close to a real fight as you can get.
most of them exams are called on what would most likly have ended a street fight. Like not that the fight would have stopped right then but with it the fight was obvious that the tested had control and would win in a serious combat situation... know what i mean?
