Maltavish & Tova
Maltavish & Tova were a gift from Moochilove from the Christmas FlatSale 2006. heart Malta is my very first Blath, and my introduction into them for the most part other than seeing them in other people's sigs.
To begin with, Malta loves the cold. She is also Russian which might account for her intense liking of cold weather. Malta also enjoys toasty warm fires, hot chocolate and other things for keeping warm in the cold. It could be that her liking cold and snow could also be because without them she could not enjoy these other loves of hers quite as much. Of course this is purely speculation because Maltavish is not telling.
Another of Malta's favorite things is Vodka, though she can be very picky in what she drinks. She rarely drinks to access, preferring the warm sensation of actually drinking this beverage to intoxication. Unlike Tova, who will gladly time and again over-imbue herself on spirits.
Tova is not as fond of the cold and with or without the warmth of vodka in her tiny system can most often be found seeking warmth in her blath's fur.

Relm Arrowny & Interceptor

Relm is the daughter of a native Thamasa woman and Clyde (aka the ninja/assassin/mercenary, Shadow). Because her mother passed away and her father is not around, Strago -a family friend- took her in as a surrogate granddaughter, and has been raising her ever since. Living in a village of people who secretly use magic, Relm is a stubborn but skilled child. Relm possesses an inherent affinity to painting. Her portraits can, literally, captivate people. Despite her adopted Grandfather's protests -& being an over-energetic child- she tags along with Strago, Locke, and Terra (unknowingly to them) when they search for the Espers. She, of course, gets tangled up with all the revolution business to fight the Empire and even meets her father. She is not aware of Shadow being her father however, though it is clear with the almost puppy-dog like reaction Shadow's attack dog, Interceptor, has in playing with the pictomancer -much to the assassin's chagrin. Don't think for a minute she's useless due to her age. Not only is Relm a true artist, but she is also a wonderful actress, and her ability to feign helplessness comes in quite handy. As well as her ability to kick butt! Relm's special gift is her ability to 'Sketch' different monsters, and in doing so use their own attacks against them but many people do not realize that she is the strongest magician in the game. Her Magic power is unrivalled, making her immensely powerful should you decide to use her. Of course, her physical attack strength is non-existent, and she doesn't take hits too well either.
But that was 'before', in an alternate world in an alternate form. Reborn as a blathanna, some of these memories linger like a forgotten dream within the young artist's mind. Unlike other Relms of her household in their many forms she has not come full grown remembering her past as if plucked from a moment in time. She has been born, innocent and loving and curious to learn about the world around her. The memories & events of her 'before' are likely to have some effect upon the pictomancer, but their touch will be light in comparrison to the experiences of this life.
Only time will tell how she turns out. But no question about it, Relm will enjoy every minute.
