I still have to get Oowashi started, but I am afraid to start it, since I am afraid that it might be ruined ^^"

Since when does Akatsuki need work? It's already pre-plated.

that's the reason. when you cut the pieces out, the plates might be ruined and left trace of the cutting, which's something you definitely don't want to have. Also, there's a certain difficulty to work with stuff that's pre-plated when you are actually trying to make the places where you cut disappear. so ya, still don't know what to do with that yet, so cant start

The akatsuki is specially designed to not damage the plating, provided you use proper plastic cutters to remove the parts from the sprue. All the bits are mounded BEHIND it, where the plates line up with each other, so you never see the damage on the plates. 3nodding

cz my brother had the endless waltz special edition of Death Scythe, which also had plating. it came out bad for his, cz he was kinda cutting it in the way how he cut normal gundam, which came out bad xp

wait, are you sure?
the reason I haven't bought Akatsuki is b/c of the possibilities of damaging the gold plating, and the need to like get some gold spray paint

umm, there isn't really nothing much you can improve...
unless you like go all out like some people...
