Kilango had been near the ocean in the afternoon. The tide was fairly high, making the water deeper than normal. She padded up to the sandy beach side, a plot brewing within her mind. Her 'crush' had been nearby. She turned around and called out to him. "Come on Kikore, lets go play in the water!" She playfully leaped in, splashing the salty liquid everywhere.

Kikore had indeed been sitting not too far away, enjoying the moment as the sun brushed his pelt and the sea played with his senses. The salty scent in the air left him on a high, and the sounds of the waves caused his muscles to relax and his shoulders to drift lower. It was pure bliss, and no wonder how whenever he was away from Palesa, he was found in the same spot staring out to sea.
However, his eyes snapped to the side as soon as Kilango had entered, and his whole atmosphere was shattered. Always when she was around he was forced to be on alert, and while she walked by without looking his way, he silently prayed that she would miss him completly as he backed slowly towards the dunes. If he could make it there, he was home free.
And yet the fates hated him.
Her call caused him to falter before he stood straight up, and slowly he set a smile on his maw and turned her way. He had to remind himself that Kilango wasn't all she-devil, and as he pictured her innocent side he got the strength to send a composed answer right back.
"Not today Kilango, I-uh...just dried my pelt from earlier swimming..." nodding, he decided that was a good enough answer, and prayed it would work, for now.

Kilango frowned as Kikore answered in the way she didn't want him to. "Oh, come on Kikore! I just ... wanna play." She lowered her ears as she darted off into the ocean. She swam around by herself for a short while. Although, she had a plot going on in her own mind. Soon it would play into action, right on the green male.
Suddenly, she 'tripped' on a sea rock, and flailed to the bottom of the sandy sea. Struggling, she swam back up, gasping for breath. She shrieked for the male. "Kikoreee! Help meee!" She waved her paws about as she struggled in the 3 foot deep water. It was fairly shallow, but she acted like it was two times deeper.
"I'm drowninggg." She stopped swimming and held her breath, as she began slowly lowering into the salty water.

Rolling his eyes, Kikore tried to tone out the sort of whining that echoed across the sands, the soft sound of waves being englufed by Kilango's voice. Gritting his teeth, he suddenly turned his shoulder to her and narrowed his eyes, trying to focus anywhere but Kilango. Though deep down, he knew he had to watch her, since now that she was here she was his charge until Palesa came back.
His ears flickered every so oftin as he listened to her swim, and he thought nothing of the dangers soon enough as his eyes grew warm at the sight of the long beach, and the drifting sea. The waves that hit the blue made him smile and think of Vitashki and his father, and how their pelts mirrored such colors. Shaking it off, he just let out a soft sigh and turned to glance towards where Kilango was, his whole distraction completly missing the cries.
However, he did see her sink down and heard the word drowning. Waiting a few seconds, though it felt like minutes to him, he searched for a head that might pop up as his heart grew frantic. At last he rushed towards the water, faltering only a second before bounding in where he thought she was. As he ran into her form, he dunked his head and made way to grip any part with his maw, and tugged up towards the surface. He didn't relize just how shallow it was until he came up, though his mop of a mane distracted his rationals for the time being.

Kilango grinned as the green male dashed for the water, towards her. She continued to hold her breath, keeping dead silent. It wasn't until Kikore reached in, that she began to move again. As he pulled her up, she stood still beside him, chuckling lightly.
"Wasn't that FUN?!" She questioned him, and then darted back into the water, kicking up some of it at Kikore playfully.

All he could do was stare as she slapped him in the face not only with her words and tricks, but as well as the water. It dripping down his cheek and to the water, his eyes sat wide and on her form while she just froliced throughout the water. All at once his gaze grew dark with shame and anger, and he waited until she got closer.
"Kilango..." He chided in a darker sort of voice, though calm as well, "That was not very nice..."
Thankfully they were about the same size, for no sooner had he said that, than he pounced to tackle her into the water as well, a half playful, half dangerous rowl sounded atop the waves.

"aww, why not. You wouldn't come play with me ... ..." Her ears folded back, as she looked away. Kilango looked away all too soon. In a moment, she was struck down, by the playful Kikore. As she fell to the ground, she stood back up, a smirk on her maw.
"I knew you'd come play." She backed up slightly, before she lept into the air to bulldoze the green male back into the water. She fell into the water, and then began swimming into the deeper parts of the shallow water. She was like ... ... a lion-fish! She paddled under the water for a short time, until she returned to the surface, gasping for breath. Kikore was a good few feet away from her, now.
She dove back down, and headed straight for Kikore'ruia.

Ready for her the second time, he greeted her half way to send them both flying, a wave of seawater swimming around them as his paws slipped slightly in the sands. Spitting out a bit of water and blinking his stinging eyes, he looked around and lost sight of the girl, her dark pelt helping her blend into the waters.
But than he heard her dive back in, and turned, searching for her as he backed away and than ran through the waters away from her form.
She wouldn't catch him, not yet. She had to work for it first.

She was eager, and never gave up the battle. Kilango trailed behind the green male, like a swimming snake. Her tail splashed about rapidly at the top of the waves, while the remaining of her body was below, kicking about to paddle faster. The blue figure darted forward with each moment, though, she seemed she was not able to catch up to Kikore. He was somewhat older than her, and being male -- he was significantly stronger. Although, the odds never stopped her, she would find a way.
Kilango placed her feet on the bottom of the sandy water logged floor, and then rocketed off. She blasted out from below to sea, and shot through the air, aiming directly at her target. A smirk was widening as she approached the green lion. Her eyes narrowed, and she zeroed in on Kikore.
"Your mine, this time!" She extended her forearms, and then pounced on him. It wasn't long before she fell off of the large male, and back into the water, playfully. She chuckled slightly in the process.

Her weight surprised him as he slipped on his forepaws, his face falling in first as he felt the salt water sting his eyes. Sputtering, he pushed himself back up and she slipped from his wet pelt, her throaty laugh ringing in his ears. Turning, he just looked down onto her, before his soft grin came back.
"Yours, am I?" He asked slyly, his eyes dark and challenging, before he turned and took off once more, his stronger legs pushing him while he had the chance. Her agility was not to be rivaled, but he at least could push easier in the water.

She grinned widely, and then replied with a slant in her eyes. "Of course you are mine." Her paws trailed through the water slowly. Her eyes focused on the male's as they were much faster in the water than her own feet. Rolling her eyes, she padded over to Kikore and then sighed. "You ruin all my fun! How can I catch up to you? Least i'd win if we were on land ..." Smiling, she darted off towards the beach without thinking. Though the sand made it harder to run, it was still better than liquid and wet sand. Anyways, she had enough of the water for one day. Chasing after Kikore wasn't as fun as having the large male chase after her.
Her claws dug into the sand slowly. Happiness was ready to explode from her, as she readied herself to flee so fast that even the green lion would not be able to catch up! Once she was on the move, there was no stopping her!
Kilango faced the soaked male and simply stared at him. Her ears twitched as she watched his every move.

He slowed when she did, his maw splitting into his same boyish grin as he shook his mane and pelt. Droplets rained out into the surrounding waters before mane fell into his eyes. It took only a second for him to let out a chuckle at her reaction and pout, before it was cut off by her devious smile.
"Where are you-" Seeing her head to land, he let out a sigh before following after her, tentative as he stalked up to her. She had stopped on the sand, and so he stopped with the water and waves sloshing around his paws. The winds of the sea fluttered across his mane, pushing the soaked strands like leaves of a hanging tree.
"Round two?" He asked lowly, his tail darting back and forth like a cub as he let himself forget about all the formalities and the past issues between the two. For now, they merely were hunters, trying to find a way to break the other down. He had his fun in the waters, but now it seemed Kilango had her own ideals floating atop the sands.
