It was mid-aftertoon on a comfortably warm winter's day. Nika stood beside the biggest window in the HQ's living room, gazing outside with a soft, thoughtful expression. The snow outside was a clear, almost poetic in it's whiteness. It shimmered under the sun and was almost painful to watch for longer than a few moments.
A lone sigh whispered past his lips. So much time had passed.
Finally, he tore his eyes away from the scene outside and collected his jacket from the back of the sofa. A shovel sat in the corner by the door.
The dark-blue skinned boy whistled as he dressed appropriately for the weather, grabbed the shovel and headed out the front door.
Somebody had to clear the walkway. There was no telling when company might show up.

Company just happened to be flicking her dragon-tail back and forth in front of her in a haphazard attempt to clear her own way between the Fierra's cabin and the HQ building. Haisyn was brooding, Tavil was baking, and Verran was snoring on the couch... so there wasn't a lot to be done at home and Ashirha forgone the agony of waiting for Haisyn to lighten up and decided to head outside.
She spotted Nika heading outside and waved to him. Heyla, Nika! How's your morning? She quickened her pace somewhat, half-dancing through the snow on the balls of her feet in an effort to avoid getting snow in her shoes. It wasn't particularly deep, but it was still powdery from it's fall last night and tended to fling itself about everywhere when one walked through it, not to mention clinging to any clothing it came in contact with.

The water masque wasn't aware that she wasn't alone in the world, the sky was a crisp liquid hue, clear of clouds, the air was biting in a familiar way, the crystal droplets of ice had crafted a heavenly scene over the land, flawless. Singing out to her blood, calling her.
And so she danced spinning and twisting, doing what few would dare she had discarded her shoes in favor of the familiar bite of ice against her skin, wishing for a moment that it were still snowing, as the chill wind called for her name. A sound carried to her ears.
And Saniya opened her eyes, now as glossy as ice itself, and sparkling merrily as she tlted her head she finally spotted Ash and a familiar blue skinned man waiding with shovel in hand through the land of snow and ice, and laughed, it was a gentle musical sound that escaped her lips half surprised as she tetered to the side and her chilled pale legs colapsed into the snow, her long skirt spreading out arround her like a puddle of pure midnight against the glowing white of the snow.
'Ah! So I'm not alone, Hello Ash.' She tilted her head to the side nodding to Nika.
(Remember I don't think Nika and Sani ever met in RP.)

Snow was an exciting thing. It seemed that as the curse dropped off more and more, the more diverse things became. Almost as if the world was becoming alive again, gaining personality.
She loved it...even if the dress code was harsh.

The sound of Ashy's voice ringing in his head caused Nika to look up, eyes searching this way and that for the familiar form of the Whimsy girl.
"Hello, Ash," he called merrily once he'd spotted her and gently placed the shovel against the side of the HQ, beside the large wooden door. The pathway could wait. Company had arrived and it was more important to entertain than work.
The blonde young man had been about to tell Ashy about his morning when Sani collapsed into the snow. He had never met her in this life, something that surprised him so much that his jaw fell open. Nika had thought he'd met everybody there was to meet.
While he did not know her name now, he recognized her mask.
From the corner of his eye, Nika could see a flicker of dark hair and ivory skin. His face lit up and his heart skipped a beat, as it always did when he saw Shi. A smirk found it's way onto his face and, with a chuckle, he moved forwards. Nika quickly scooped up a handful of snow, packed it into a well-sized ball and tossed it in Shi's general direction. He had no intention of actually hitting her and hadn't taken the time to aim- so there was no telling where it would land.
"Aqua," he turned to Sani with a smile and offered her his hand, sure that she wouldn't want to spend much more time sitting in the cool snow.

Ash plowed her way over to Sani and Nika. Aqua? Her eyes widened in surprise. Nika, you never met Saniya?! She burst into a small fit of giggles, not at all sure why this was funny, but unable to stop. Oh man! Nika, this is Sani. Sani, this is Nika. I dunno if you remember him much or not yet. Bouncing from one foot to the other she looked toward where Nika had thrown the snowball, and then all at once she leaned down, grabbed a big handful, and dropped it on Nika's head while cackling merrily.

Startled by the sudden attention she had garnered, Sani brushed her long hair back over her shoulder and shyly accepted Nika's pro-offered hand. Tossing a gentle smile at Ash little more than an upturning at the corner of her eyes, 'Nika, its a pleasure. Please, call me Sani.' Allowing Nika to pull her to her feet she glanced discreetly about for her brocaide slippers. And Bowed her head to Shiva, another strange face in the crowd.
Carefully extracting her hand from the handsome masques hold she dusted the snow off her skirt and took a step closer to Ash, who had the great fortune of being the only person that she knew. 'Its been a little while since someone has called me Aqua... Your... Time yes?' Her question was based purely on the way she had heard others talk about Time, tall blond, blue skin, good looking enough that you could easily loose track of time while watching him... Natures personal pun.
(LOL you know before I knew that all the elements were related I named Saniya, her name means 'A moment in Time' *has a private chuckle*)

Rather than dodge the toss, she stepped into it, letting the snow splatter against her thigh. Lifting an eyebrow challengingly, she slowly scooped up her own handful, long fingers sculpting the arch carefully, almost lovingly.
"Good afternoon." she greeted softly, her hands still crafting the snow, molding it. And then as almost a seperate greeting "Nika." there was a slight pinch of color in her cheeks.
