So!
What it is, is alot.
What I do, it the youth combat program.
There are 3 divisions, 7-10, 11-13, 14-17.
I'm in division 3, 14-17.
This is weapons fighting only.
Weapons:
Construction: PVC core, wrapped in fiber-tape (For when they shatter)
And then a layer of close-cell pipe insulation. (So they WON'T shatter)
Then a layer of ducttape, so the foam doesn't rip.
That's the basic for a sword.
Legal Weapons:
daggers
swords
katanas (PVC can be bent w/ a heat gun)
poles
spears
axes
kamas
maces
shields
bucklers
greatswords
omygodswords
scythes
pikes
lamberds
etc.
pretty much anything that isn't a punching weapon.
I fight flourintine, (Two-weapon) Wakizashi and Kama.
I'm authorized to fight with every weapon.
I've only fought for 3 years, but my speed and left-handedness have lead
me to be one of the top 10 fighters in my division in the East Kingdom. (Over 500 in my division.)
In the Adult fighting, there are battles with more than 5000 fighters.
Per side.
Those are fun to watch.

Sakuto Uchiha sounds great, I gotta try that PVC thing.. Okay. It works. You have to use Schedule 40 PVC, measured on the interior. Also, you need endcaps. I'll get a picture of the stuff I've made.

 vs.  Like I said, 5000.    Yeah. It's fun :3 There's not alot of pics fer the Youth Combat, because you need special waivers for photography of minors.

thats really awesome. i would love to do somthing like taht with like, ninjas and samurai. thats would be loads of fun.

Ninjas weren't used in melee combat. But there is one night where one whole clan of ninja climbs the side of a castle, and everyone tries to knock them off with water guns. That's always fun. There are fighters from every place in the world, with presonas from every place in the world. I, for instance, am a ninja. My mom is a Lithuanian peasant from the 14th century. My friends are Scottish, etc. You can be whatever you want, as long as it's betewoon 1000-1600.

No, the ninja thing is unnofficial.
In fact, they get in trouble every year, cuz it's "unsafe."
That's okay.
heh.
There are "take the castle fights"
as seen in the video.
They're scary as ******** you die, you get piled on, with other dead people.
I don't like it.
Some kid broke his sternum in one I was in, and they closed the castle. redface
Most fights are field battles though, cuz you don't need a castle to do one.
There are woods battles too, which involve more ninjary.
Too bad you can't climb trees.
