Height: 5ft 7.5inches Starting Weight: 201lbs Current Weight: 201lbs Goal: 140lbs
I plan on eating 1500 calories a day.
I exercise at least 5 times a week. I do aerobics and work out on the elliptical and treadmill machines as well as lift weights and do sit ups.
I am on medicine for clinical depression, I gained this weight due to side effects. The challenge is getting these stubborn pounds off, if possible!

I wont lie you, I work at a call center and all we do is sit down all day long, which I'm not fond of. We have candy at our desks; you know the fun sized ones and try as I might I still manage to eat at least 5 of those little suckers a day. Even though I am eating right I mess up my diet with sugar. I going to make some suggestion, Please take them into consideration. Do's: Green tea - the tea bags Whole Grain Bread Whole Wheat Bread Shaved turkey breast slices almonds sunflower seeds Oatmeal Cucumbers Green bell peppers 9 oz Baby spinach V-8 Juice 6pack strawberrys blueberries Tofu lite firm Kashi Cereal Soy Slender Vanilla milk silk Plain Yogurt Sushi Olive oil for cooking Use different spices for foods to zest them up, spices and herbs have great benefit for your health. Don'ts: sugar pork ham anything made from pig
I also recommend taking the chicken out of your diet and replacing it with fish, or turkey. Eat grain rice, and not white, white rice has all the nutrients taken out of it

I know that I should take sugar and milk out of my oatmeal, but it tastes too plain without them. I will work on that.

What kind of oatmeal do you eat? You may just be having a brand or flavor that's too plain by itself.
I eat Quaker brand instant oatmeal, made with water. I make sure not to add too much water (watery oatmeal = eww). The flavors I like are Apples & Cinnamon and Maple & Brown Sugar. They're both sweet and filling, but still fairly healthy. There may be a little more sugar in them than some may suggest for you to be having, but I think that since you're eating it in the morning, it's easier to burn off the calories from it.

I eat the regular old fashion oatmeal with no flavorings. I like it better that way... I like to control what I put in there. By the way, I saw your weight journal, good luck on your plan.
