Alot of people say that NaruSaku donsen't have a romantic relationship.I believe that Naruto and Sakura do have a romatic relationship.Romantic is a word drived from romance.. Quote: Romance:Ardent emotional attachment or involvement between people; love.A strong, sometimes short-lived attachment, fascination, or enthusiasm for something. Both naruto and sakura have a bond, or a emotional attachment.Just because they never have kissed or something.Dosen't mean that the relationship isen't romantic.Lets go to the word Ardent. Quote: Ardent biggrin isplaying or characterized by strong enthusiasm or devotion. I think everyone knows the Promise Of A Lifetime that Naruto made to Sakura.Naruto knew that Sakura was in love with Sasuke. He had devoted his life to get Sasuke back for her.Naruto understood and accepted these feeling of Sakura's.Naruto has also devoted his life to Sakura.Just like many times Naruto had and will always protect Sakura.Sakura started her training under Tsunade not only to to bring Sasuke back but also for Naruto. She wants to protect Naruto.Like when Naruto first told Sakura about the Kyuubi. She accepted him for who he is.I think then that she relized she truely wanted to protect and be by his side.It is said by Sakura herself ''This time I am going to save them both!''. Quote: He doesn't want to be the one to make her cry. So I believe his grin is to reassure her, like he has done so many times in the past. He doesn't want her to feel sad for him, to hurt more because of him. So instead he attempts to pretend that everything is alright with him. Then he quickly leaves to mask his real pain, a pain that despite his best intentions, is very badly hidden. And Sakura can just look helplessly as he attempts to shoulder his problems alone. By:heronite In the attempt Sakura tries to save Naruto from transforming into the Kyuubi. Quote: ''So heedless of the danger, she runs to him. She was reckless, yes. She acted on impulse and there really isn't anything else she could have thought of: Sai is nowhere to be seen, and she still does not know of Yamato's abilities. Yet I couldn't be prouder of the answer she gives. Of all the solutions she could have thought up against his pain, the most obvious would have been to set him free from the promise of a lifetime. But all this time, she's witnessed to how important Sasuke is to Naruto as well. She's even told Sai that Naruto considers Sasuke his very own brother. For her to ask Naruto to give up now would have been not only useless, it would have likely been insulting to his character, and insinuating that he can't live up to his promise. That he'd have to give up one of his most precious bonds, as well. So she cries out the ultimate compromise. Naruto! This... that's enough! I'll be the one to save Sasuke! Some translators translate this last sentence as "I'll save Sasuke for you!" They have explained that while the "for you" isn't explicitly mentioned, there is a heavy emphasis on the "I" that suggests this, backed by context. So instead of letting Naruto suffer this much, she is willing to take on the burden for two, even though her chances of ever saving Sasuke would have been that much reduced... And at the same time, she shows just how much she understands his feelings. But later, afraid of hurting Naruto's feelings even more, she hides the true cause of the injury the mini-Kyuubi has given her. Instead she also puts up a smile and pretends that everything is alright. She doesn't blame him, and doesn't want to put blame on him, not when he suffers so much already... After the tragic events of the Kyuubi 4-tails transformation, a heartbroken Sakura also ponders what she can do for Naruto. 2.5 years of training, and all she can do is witness, witness, witness... Same as always...
I can only do the dumbest of things for Naruto.Yet Yamato sees something more important within her, so after a little smile, he tells her: It's not what you do for Naruto that's important... It's how strongly you feel about him that counts. Hmph... Sakura, I can tell just by looking at you... the truth is you...Within her feelings for Naruto, she will find the strength to make a difference as well. She's not the strongest, she can't control Kyuubi, nor heal Naruto of his biggest pains. But while Naruto is isolating himself, she'll be the touch of humanity to care for him and to remind him of what's important. And while Sakura's words might not have gotten through to a Kyuubified Naruto, her actions leave ripples that finally did succeed in reaching Naruto's heart. Although Sakura is afraid of hurting Naruto, Yamato has no such personal qualms. So he's the one who tells Naruto, and it in doing so, reminds him of the importance of bonds. In Samurai X, Kenshin never tells Tomoe "I love you." Instead, it's when Kenshin reaches out to her, and tells her in a grave tone, "I will protect you," that Tomoe truly realizes how much they're in love. And those words accelerate the events, leading to Tomoe's tragic demise. I've checked other animes, and indeed, this "protect" theme is present to various degrees in other shounen and shoujo such as Utena (the anime in any case), Ayashi no Ceres, Ranma, Inu Yasha, and others. Sometimes "I will protect you" is uttered right after a confession of love. Sometimes it is just uttered on its own, and the love is felt from just that. I've read somewhere else that declarations of love tend to be rare in Japan, that people tend to prefer proving their love with actions. Having the male randomly make declarations of love might be viewed as inappropriate Instead, by making this declaration of protection, they are stating a lifetime devotion, perhaps as strong a proof of love as any. And when a puzzled Gamabunta asked Naruto who "Sakura-chan" is, Gamakichi offered the explanation that she is Naruto's girlfriend, as though its explains Naruto's dedication. Back then, Naruto fought with his life to protect Sakura. Then, to protect her feelings, he made her a promise of a lifetime. And even now, Yamato himself states: "If you truly want to protect Sakura." It is not absolute proof of romantic love... but it shows the extent of Naruto's dedication to Sakura. So in the end, Sakura's care was not in vain. Naruto has finally learned that giving in to Kyuubi might help him save Sasuke more quickly, but the price is too high. To see his brother again, with his own eyes, but also to protect the girl he cares so much about, Naruto will learn to rely on his own eyes. So when Naruto finally does meet up with Sasuke, he learns to say "No" to Kyuubi. Naruto being there for Sakura in part 1. To cheer for her when she's fighting, to protect her when she's in danger, to reassure her when she's sad, to dedicate his life to her happiness. All the while, never asking anything back. Sakura being there for Naruto in part 2. To accept him for his strengths. To accept him for his faults. To accept him for his demons. To be kind to him in his pain, to cry for him when he despairs, and to be the touch of humanity to prevent him from losing himself. To be there to protect him as well. They're there for each other. Growing up together, living victories and failures together, but also pulling each other up again. Feeling happy when the other is happy, feeling sad when the other is in pain, feeling the need to grow stronger while witnessing the other's strength, feeling the need to grow even stronger when the other falters.By:heronite Most quoted information is from Because I Am Here - NaruSaku Manifesto. It is greatly put together, and well thought about. You can see heronite knew what she was saying. 3nodding I am greatful to her and her NaruSaku manifesto. It helped me learn things about NaruSaku myself.=D

Hm. Well, I personally think that Naruto and Sakura share more of a friend/sibling like relationship. Mostly because they pick on each other (rather, Naruto will say something stupid and Sakura will punch him...though I think Sai's starting to take his place on that. O_O).
I just haven't seen anything that convinces me of any romance being there (and I'll just state that my definition/view of romance is different from NarutoandSakura. I don't think that anything's wrong with hers, though).
I really LOVE Naruto and Sakura's relationship as the protective and silly brother and the willful, strong, and tempermental (but sweet) sister. Their interaction is always a pleasure to watch.
I just can't be convinced that anything in a romantic way is there. I thought that Naruto asking Sakura on a date in Part 2 was...eh, how do I word it...not out of actual romantic affection, but more of "for old time's sake". It's REALLY hard for me to explain how I feel on that one. Just...gah. X_X Moving on...
Anyways, I'm not saying that I'm right on my views, and I'm not saying that NaruSaku could develop into a romantic relationship, in my eyes. If it did, I'd be upset, but they both deserve it. Good for them if they get together. <3
But anyways, that's Iia's view on it.

I think my liking of this pairing has a lot to do with how my relationships are. I like a relationship where its more of a.... how can I put this.... we pick on each other and treat each other like I guess Naruto and Sakura treat each other. Thats one reason why I can see them ending up together.
It might be a close friendship at the moment but when you trust someone as much as I believe they trust each other you can begin to let it grow into love. Which I have no dout that Sakura and Naruto love each other already. I think the main question though is what kind of love is it?
Anywho for this pairing to work out Sakura has to get over Sasuke. I really don't think she ever will be able to, but if it comes down to it I am sure (since she is a strong indivual) that she will be able to move on none the less. Another good question might be " Has Sasuke hurt her past the point of no return?" or if he hasn't will he? A human heart can only take so much abuse from an individual before it completely shatters.
Don't get me wrong I love the SasuSaku pairing but after the timeskip I see only a slim hope and its not because Naruto and Sakura are growing closer. Its becuase of the fact that Sasuke seems too far gone. If Sakura was ever able to be with him do you think she would be happy? Even if Sasuke killed Itachi and came back to Konoha I still think he has substained and lived through too much mental damage, truama, and evil to live a normal life. I really do not know but that is what I think, but hey Sasuke may turn out fine or suprise us in some way. Who knows. I sure don't, I just have opinions.

Um. Yeah. I don't think too highly of that manifesto. :/ And that's all I have to say about it.
I'm still working out my thoughts on NaruSaku, so forgive me if this seems a little screwed up.
First off, what I love about NaruSaku..
I honestly think they share the closest bond in the series at this point. If Sasuke hadn't gone on about how he'd broken his bonds, then I would say Sasuke and Naruto share the strongest bond, but obviously that's not the case.
The two of them have been through so much together, and I love the fact that Naruto can make Sakura smile so easily. It's no surprise that they're best friends.
However, I honestly view their relationship as that of two close friends, and not at all romantic.
Now I'm getting to what I DON'T like about NaruSaku.
The main guy with the main girl.. I'm sorry. I hate those kinds of pairings. It has happened in EVERY show I have EVER watched, save for Digimon. For once I wish the main guy and the main girl would just stay friends.
Their friendship is what I like the most when it comes to their relationship. They can lean on and support each other.
And I know a lot of NaruSaku fans are anticipating a confession from Sakura's side -- I'm sorry, but I'm not. If there is to be a confession, have it come from Naruto. Sakura has already confessed, to Sasuke. It would ruin her character for me if she were to confess to Naruto.
On a final note.. if Naruto and Sakura are to get together in the end.. I want it to happen with Sasuke there. I don't want him dead. I want him alive and well.
Really. That's all that matters to me. I'll be satisfied with any ending, as long as Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke are all still alive. Naruto and Sakura can get together, and I would still be happy, because the three of them would still be friends. I would just prefer if Sasuke x Sakura became the canon pairing in the end.

Noting Akiru's words, I need to make a point.
When I look at the time-skip and SasuSaku, I feel...annoyed, in a way. I've tried to find plausible ways to pair them up that don't seem completely out of hand and that don't hurt Naruto or Sakura in such a way that it'd ruin the whole story.
First off...Sakura's not going to jump into Sasuke's arms if he comes back. Keyword, if. We're making assumptions here. Sakura, being who she is, and Kishimoto, being who he is, are going to be reluctant in accepting Sasuke. Sakura knows, with full force, that Sasuke wounded Naruto mentally and physically, and hurt her mentally as well. Betrayal is not easy to accept and get over, and I just can't imagine them having a happy relationship - I can't imagine them having any kind of 'romance' afterwards, (using Ashley's definition, or any other definition of the word) because he really did injure her and Naruto a lot.
Pre-time-skip included most of Sakura and Naruto's 'original' character development, scolding and arguing, Naruto's crush, Sakura's ignorance, and so on.
Being very blunt, Sakura's team is the most important thing in her life. Truthfully - I think Naruto, is, at the moment, the most important thing for her. He made a promise, and she defends it.
On another note....Their teamwork has a big effect on me. It's had a big effect on manifesto writers as well. (XD)Quote: - it's the same look of anticipation when Kakashi tells them about the bell test. - it's the same sadness when Kakashi mentions Sasuke, their lost teammate... - it's the same "bring it on!" expression when Kakashi tells them to begin - it's the same excited look on their face when Naruto tells Sakura about his plan to defeat Kakashi - it's the same look of determination as they charge at Kakashi - it's the same grinning victorious attitude when they get the bells - it's the same "Ramen! Ramen!" anticipated after the test - and they both ignore Kakashi the same way as they talk about food, while Kakashi is left feeling sorry for himself for being ignored. - and as someone pointed out to me, the look Naruto gave Sakura when she showed off her super-strength, was the same look Sakura gave him back in chapter 245! I've said it before, I shall say it again. It's very difficult to get along with someone who is an absolute opposite from you - not having anything in common with them = depression. I'm friends with people who are like me. It's a fact of logic. That's why there are all types of groups, so everyone can have what they want. Naruto and Sakura display that perfect, "We get along and we're similar!" thing. I would never date someone who was my complete freaking opposite. Someone quiet and shy with someone like me? We'd drive ourselves mad. Point made. ._. xD

Wonderfully put, I agree with you. I think the second encounter with Sasuke might have been the last straw for Sakura. Yes I am sure she still loves him (even if I wish against it) but I am also sure that it is hurting her terribly inside to bear such a love.
Even if everything turns out fine in the end I still think that same hurt will linger in her heart if she continues to hold on to Sasuke. Just imagine living with your love and constantly wondering 'Will he stay this time?'... it hurts and wears the heart down.
I do believe Naruto is feeling the same way, even if his love for Sasuke is not in a romantic sense as Sakura's is. But becuase of this feeling that both Naruto and Sakura share they are brought closer and closer together. Wether it will turn to love or not has yet to be seen.
So maybe in the end it will be Sasuke to bring them together.... but yeah I think I went off track on the point I was trying to make. I think I am just rambling nonsense.

.. >_> Sasuke is very influential to Naruto and Sakura's relationship.
Remember way back at the beginning of the series? It was because of him that Sakura began to try being nice to Naruto.
And what is their driving force right now? Bringing Sasuke back. They share a common goal, and that in turn brings them closer together.

I don't think Sasuke is the only one that brings Naruto and Sakura closer. To me they have both realized on their own they need each other. Also the relationship is filled mutual understanding.
I'm trying to look at all the possibilities. If they weren't able to bring Sasuke back.I'm sure that Naruto and Sakura would understand, and not blame each other.Though I think that they will never give up on on geting him back. What I don't understand is why not have let him leave, and not go threw all the trouble to bring Sasuke back.If it was his own wish to leave, and go to Orochimaru and train.Sasuke even knew what the cost was.Although I do think the curse mark is to blame a bit.((If I did something like Sasuke, my friends wouldn't come to rescue me!XD))Both Naruto and Sakura didn't know how much it ment for Sasuke to get revenge.
Now if Naruto and Sakura did manage to bring Sasuke back.I don't think anything would be the same.I'm not sure how it would affect the NaruSaku relationship. Also i'm not sure how it would affect the SasuSaku relationship.I do think that they would have to keep Sasuke there of his own will.I also don't think team 7 would ever be the same.It would be very uncomfortable for the three to talk with each other.
There is another possibilitie though.-Zips Mouth- I know the manga hasen't ended, and no one knows how Naruto is going to end.So we will just have to wait to see for what happens.Although there is alot more I wanted to add, but I didn't see how I could. All of it is a matter of opion. Also I think I forgot to include Hinata...O.O'

Guess it's my turn now. ^-^
Well, I'm gonna star with what I like about this pairing.
Alright, I like the relation Naruto and Sakura have. In a way, Naruto has always been there for Sakura and has supported her and encouraged her. He has been very considerate for her and puts her feelings before his own. They share a very close bond, and now that Sasuke left their bond has been tighter than ever.
I see them more as either 2 very close friends or as siblings. Sakura and Naruto both support each other and try to stay together to make each other strong because both know how importnat that aspect is in their lifes. In a way is like they NEED each other to endure their pains and hardships.
So really, I do like this pairing in this poinr of view. Is very sweet and it shows what true friendhsip is. But, I can't really see it as a romantic pairings.
Now, for the reasons I don't like NaruSaku as a romantic pairing.
My main and probably only reason is that it will excluse Sasuke WAY too much. Sasuke played a major role in Sakura's development and she confessed herself to him, so having her with Naruto would in a way erase and push away all what Sasuke did to her. Also, if Naruto and Sakura stayed together, what about Sasuke? I see it as if he's not in the picture anymore.
I'm not really convinced that Sakura's "flirts" in Part 2 are romantic. I find them completely harmless. Sure, I do think Sakura doesn't love Sasuke as strongly as before but her feelings haven't dissapeared for sure. They are still there. I honestly find it quite difficult for Sakura's feelings to have changed in only 2 years. She felt too strong about Sasuke to just forget about it. If any, I think it's just a harmless crush. I like that word better.
Now, I do see that their bond is stronger. I think that Sakura feels that she didn't do enough for Sasuke and so, she doesn't want to make the same mistake. I believe that's the reason to why she's "going out" with Naruto and protecting him and worrying about him. She wants Naruto to feel loved and that he isn't alone.
NaruSaku has possiblities of becoming canon and if they do, I'll be upset for Sasuke but I wouldn't mind so bad. If they do it's because they deserved it.
Well, I hope that my view made any sense ._.

underworld-girl Is very sweet and it shows what true friendhsip is. Like zumaki akura has stated once.A relationship has got to start somewhere.A relationship starts at true friendship, and builds it's way up to something more.At least that's how I look at it.We all look at it differently.Naruto has already proved that he is a true friend to Sakura and can be something more.Naruto played a very huge role in Sakura's character development to and he still dose.
I could only see Sasuke and Sakura as close friends.I just don't see SasuSaku ever becoming a canon now.Don't get me wrong, I haven't counted out the possibility of it becoming a canon.Sure I would be upset if SasuSaku did, but just like every one else I would be happy and move on.I respect yall's opions on saying Sasuke would be left out if NaruSaku became a conon. So I guess we could see eye to eye. That Naruto would be left out if SasuSaku became a couple.Naruto should deserve to be with the girl he has always admired and even loved to right? But, what if Naruto and Sakura couldn't bring Sasuke back. They may not be able to move on completly, but hey who would be able to move on after losing someone dear to them.Though they both should have a chance at happiness. To tell the truth I would like Sasuke to come back A-Ok.All three of them may never to be the same, but they would be happy no matter what.I don't think Sasuke wouldn't mind or be left out if Naruto and Sakura became a couple.I mean you would think he would relize all the trouble the two went threw to save him.He would at least be happy for them.Just like if Sasuke and Sakura became a couple Naruto would be happy for them. It's All of just my opion. The manga hasen't ended and we should all just wait and see what happens.Until then we should all respect each others opions and no matter what get along!Ah I was going to say something about NaruHina but it's 4:12 A.M and i'm sleepy!XD
