Asha leapt into the air, the butterfly escaping her outstretched paws by always a few inches. The runt minya pouted, as her numerous attempts to catch one failed. It was such a pretty butterfly too! It was pink!
She tried again, leaning back unto her hindlegs. Close, closer, and she fell over backwards into a patch of dandelions. Up fluff went, she opened her eyes, when had she closed them? And saw only a view of fluff. She grinned brightly and her front paws batted at the fluff.
Growing tired she lay down on some grass. Where she lay was at the top of a hill, overlooking the field she was playing in earliar. It was romantic, this place. You could see everything up here, the stars were closer and you had a better view of a sunset too!
Asha looked up into the sky, it was still light outisde and would be for a few hours. She wanted it to be sunset time, she had never seen one before but she had always heard from the others that it quite beautiful just like a sunrise is. Well the chances of her seeing a sunrise was slim, she always slept through them.
Asha pouted some more, and wishing deep down that the sunset would come soon. But knowing also deep down that it wouldn't till the time was right for the sun to disappear and for the moon and stars to come out. She needed something to occupy herself but the butterfly had left so what could she do for fun?

Sekani crept along the ground as he trailed after a little red bug with black spots. He wasn't sure how, but the name "ladybug" stuck out in his mind. Could that be the name of this kind of bug? He shrugged the thought away, more interested in chasing the little bug than it's name.
When it took off into the air, Sekani bounded after it, leaping into the air to try and catch it. However, the little bug kept dodging his paws. He chased it up the hill, hardly paying attention to his surroundings until he suddenly tripped over something.
"Omph!" He landed on top of something.

Asha was still thinking of ways for the sunset to come faster when something fell on top of her. She screamed in fright, in was heavy and large. Or wait....not so large but still heavy. She moved about, trying to get whatever it was off of her. What if she would be the thing's dinner?
She gulped in fear and moved about faster, trying to crawl her way out or try to heave the body off of her. To no avail she fell forward into the grass, her chin banged into the ground. It really was heavy, whatever it was. Asha sighed in frustration but also from exhaustion.
She moved up once more, trying to escape again but couldn't. She just wasn't strong enough to move a heavy body. She waited in fear for what could happen next. Asha really hoped she wouldn't be the thing's dinner.

Sekani felt something squirming beneath him. He blinked, not moving right away. Then he leaped off the other, backing up a few paces. "I'm sorry!" he said quickly, bowing his head with his shoulders hunched.

Freedom. The thing was off of her. Asha went up onto her feet at once. She could run away as quick as she could but something stopped her. And that something was when the thing spoke.
Asha turned towards the voice and looked at the other runt minya. Why it was another of her kind! She had never met another runt before, a minya yes but not a runt minya before. That was relief, to find out that it wasn't a scary thing about to eat her but another of her kind.
She grinned at the other runt, relief written all over her face. "It's alright." Asha gushed, her tail wagged in excitement. Her wish came true, this would occupy her till it was time for the sun to set.

He lifted his head, and seeing that she wasn't angry with him, he grinned widely. "My name is Sekani," he said. "What's yours?"
It had been awhile since he had run into another minya of any sort. Rini always ran away because she was so shy. It was rather boring. But finding another runt made Sekani happy. Perhaps they could play a game or something else entertaining.

"Asha!" She smiled at the other runt, happy that there was someone to play with again. She went over and sat right beside Sekani, her eyes looked at him bright and big. "Do you want to play a game with me Sekani?" She tilted her head while her tail wagged, swishing in the grass.
This was going to be fun. Maybe they could play tag or jump and roll around in the field below them. Or maybe they could play hide and go seek or maybe something else that Sekani liked. Ideas ran through Asha's head as she thought on a game they could play if Sekani agreed.
But what if Sekani didn't want to play a game with her? What if Sekani wanted to leave her? Well he couldn't! She'd pounce or nudge Sekani continuously till the other runt agreed.

"Would I ever!" Sekani exclaimed happily, almost bouncing where he sat in excitement. "Rini never wants to play games with me. She's too shy." His face scrunched up, and he stuck out his tongue. "She's weird like that."
Standing, he danced around Asha. "What would you like to play? There are so many games." He paused suddenly, recalling something. "Oh, the ladybug got away," he announced his realization out loud, saddened to see the insect had flown far away.

Asha had no idea who Rini was but Sekani wanted to play a game with her and that was all that mattered. Her tail wagged excitedly as she thought of the game they could play. Wait, ladybug?
"You saw a ladybug! Really? I wish I could of seen it. I like ladybugs just as much as I like butterflies." She nodded, forgetting about the game. She looked about as if trying to see where the ladybug might of flew off to. Seeing nothing, she pouted.

"Yeah!" Sekani said, bouncing happily. "A ladybug! I was chasing after it out when I tripped over you and it flew away." His body sagged again, saddened once more that it had gotten away. His eyes shone again. "A butterfly! I love butterflies!"

She pouted, she wished she had seen it. But Sekani liked butterflies, just like her! That pleased her and her ears perked up. That was when she remembered, the game! How could she forget?
"Sekaniiii." Asha smiled sweetly at him and leaned towards him, till her head lightly touched his. She brought up one paw slowly, still leaning against him. "You're it." Giggling, she tagged him and raced off.

"Yes?" Sekani asked. Then he gulped as Asha leaned in and their foreheads touched. What exactly was she planning? His mind worked through possible scenarios. However, he came stumbling out of his thoughts when Asha suddenly tagged him and raced off. "Hey!" he called, laughing as he gave chase to her.

She giggled some more, running at the same time. This game was so much fun! She loved it so. Running, with the wind rustling through your fur......adrenaline pumping in your veins as you tried to run away to prevent being tagged. Much fun.
Asha glanced over her shoulder, she was slowing down! No she could not get tagged, she forced her paws to move faster. Her paws ran through the grass, her head still turned to look back at Sekani to see if she getting closer or farther away from him.
You should always look in front of you unless you want to run into something or trip and fall, that's what she heard once......from someone. It was a good rule, she never saw the rock. And there she went, stumbling and falling into a heap on the ground.
"Oomph." Was all she could say as the wind was knocked out of her.

Sekani laughed as he continued the chase after Asha. He enjoyed playing, and he so rarely met others that wished to play with him. He sometimes got the feeling that he annoyed others.
Then he saw Asha trip over a rock. He darted forward to where the other runt lay. "Are you all right?" he asked, worried that the fall had hurt her.

She blinked and went shakily to her paws. She blinked again, her eyes were out of focus and she felt almost like she was in a daze. She shook her head, her whole body shaking along with her. There, it was gone, that dazeyness. She looked over at Sekani, hearing his question.
"I'm alright." She looked down at her leg and gasped in pain. Now she felt it, she felt it entirely after looking down. Red stuff, a small line of red stuff was across her back right knee! Blood!! Her face turned into a grimace and she sniffed loudly. "Owie." She wiped at her eyes.
