Hey all! Look, I know i'm kind of late to the party, but after like, missing the very final episode of Angel(Three times!!!) I have finally watched it! And I was very pleased, except for one thing; WHAT HAPPENED?!
I hear that the buffy comic has expanded on what Buffies doing in ITaly, so I'ma ssuming it showed what happened as the Angel Scoobies(I wonder if that applies here...) After they defeated the circle of the black thorn. I for one want to know what Illyria's doing with Wesley gone, and if Gunn lived or not.

Actually, the official Buffy continuation doesn't come out till March.

First of all, the real Buffy isn't actually in Italy. It's a fake Buffy in Italy and the whole dating the immortal thing was something Andrew said to mess with everyone. Anyways. I'm pretty sure Joss has said we won't find out about what happens to Angel and Co. in the comic.

yes the italy episode was very entertaining but i hated every time they tried to show buddy but u never actually saw her, it was just a double because the actress is a stupid-nif (thast's right i said NIF!)
if u can't use the actual achter don't use her at all

I read somewhere that it will be tricky to put any of the Angel charaters in the Season 8 comic because an other publishier owns the rights to those characters. I guess if the two publishers can reach an agreement we may eventually find out what happened to them, but I really doubt it will happen any time soon. Which is really fine by me. I don't ever want the Buffyverse to end!!! blaugh

Well, I don't know anything about the comic, but I do know things about the actual show. I read that if there had been a season six, they were going to bring Fred back by, I think, splitting her and Illyria into two beings (how in the heck they could do that without Fred's soul is beyond me). I also heard that Gunn was going to be a vampire, which I think would be extremely interesting, considering his history and views toward vampires, even Angel.

I dunno......all I know is that the final episode of Angel REALLY REALLY bothered me. it just sorta ended.....but I did hear that the show was being cancelled after that season, and the director only had like seven episodes warning, so he kinda had to end it quickly. unfair, if you ask me. crying

Yeah, I just watched the finale last night, as a matter of fact. It wasn't an ending so much as an abrupt stop. I was ticked that Wesley was the only confirmed kill from the core group, for the sake of a somewhat poignant death scene. The Fred death scene earlier in the season was beautiful and painful, and her sickness, then demise, served to unite the group as nothing else would have. It was relevant to the plot; it seemed like Wesley got killed off just so someone would die. At least Gunn got to be a badass about it.
I strongly suggest that anyone who hasn't should check out the comic; it's fun to see what everyone's been up to...and in one of the "Letters" sections, it is confirmed that all Buffyverse characters are available to be used in the stories, so anything is possible. smile
