I really liked the Queen of the Damned, Vampire Lestat, and Interview with a vampire but as for movie versions, well, movies can bring stories to life, but there is nothing like a good book version to bring your imagination and emotions to life.

She also wrote about mummies, witches and angels over the years as well as the beauty series under another name. I have all her books which I got as they came out years ago, I love her work, she really reawaked the horror style genre in books in my opinion and her characters take on such life like qualities in the way she writes, very sexy and erotic. (and yes, outright enthralling to read)

MY favorite books are: Memnoch the devil, servant of the bones, Pandora, Queen of the damned, Blackwood farm, Blood and gold, and ummm I cant think of any others at the moment.

I was very impressed with the way they made interview with a vampire. I thought it was very good. The thing that surprised me most though was that they made that movie in 1995 and when they made "Queen of the Damned" 5 or 6 years ago, the movie sucked!

i fell in love with The vampire Armand and the interview with the vampire. I also found books under her pen name. they were call the erotic tale of sleeping beauty i think....i don''t remember the name, but it''s like this version of sleeping beauty in a erotic thing in three trilogies

My friend had told me that since Anne Rice's husband died of cancer, and since she modeled Lestat after him, she was going to write one more vampire chronicles(sp?) in which where Lestat dies. And after that no more vampire books. I was just wondering if anyone else heard that, or maybe that my friend was mistaken. I hope she's wrong!

Don't know about that last comment at all.
Anne was the first vampy horror writer I read. (this was long ago) I love Queen of the Damned and Pandora the best out of all them. Interview and Lestat are soon behind. I never got into her witch series.
Interview the movie wasn't too bad. And considering she wrote the screen play I couldn't get too angry about Armands portrayal. (Antonio is beautiful but He is NOT Armand)
Queen the movie...I can only say 2 things were good about it...The soundtract and Aaliya. Thats it. Every thing else made me mad. Well it is visually beautiful. So art direction wasn't to bad. But story and script were aweful. I think I will stop there. I could go on for years.
