I'm not really sure myself. It makes sense: Roxas and Axel being friends and rivals, and Roxas going to the path of light while Axel stays with the Organization. The name doesn't fit, but still. Maybe the name doesn't have to. Anyone else have an opinion about this, or whoever else Axel could really be?

The creator doesnt even know.
know why?
He doesn't exactly bother with coming up with more explanations and he's busy with other games.
He could have encoded clues in the Final Mix though.

maybe..but most of the members of the org. besides roxas and xemnas are based off of old final fantasy characters: demyx is so zell from ff8
And xaldin is a character from ff9 (not sure what his name is)
And axel is a lot like reno.
The other members are from other older games..

[Salsa] maybe..but most of the members of the org. besides roxas and xemnas are based off of old final fantasy characters: demyx is so zell from ff8 And xaldin is a character from ff9 (not sure what his name is) And axel is a lot like reno. The other members are from other older games..

actaully...It does make sense that Axel COULD be Axel's nobody even if there is no explantion or 'footage' of Riku ever losing his heart....but even so, it is believable...I mean, how coincidential can you get? Axel jsut HAPPENING to be Roxas' closet friend and my god, so mnay other things...
but...I would like to say that...most of the ORG.XIII are made up of Apprentices...hmm...
Ansem the Wise, his apprentices...like Xehanhort who is Xemnas and Ansem

and btw, I've founded Zexion's and Vexen's real names, which you can find in the Reports in KHII...

ahaha, yes. I do believe it too, but such an annoying debate by many XD
the ones against it just go and say 'Riku never lost his heart! So Axel can't be his nobody!'
but even so, whatever...I still believe it, even if most likely they are of different ages XD
