Ok, I guess I need to elaborate on why I don't like Dawn.
3nodding I do agree that Buffy would have grown more mature without Dawn and so these are my reasons for not liking her all that much.
smile Yes, part of it is her whinyness and just sheer annoyance value. I know that that is a normal part of being a teenager, but she does seem to have more than her fair share.
rolleyes And this is a major part of why I dislike the character.
Also she strikes me as an almost useless character who contributes very little to the show - just my opinion.
sweatdrop twisted My main problem with her is how she was introduced into the show. I kind of got the feeling when she was introduced that they were hoping to find a replacement for Buffy as the actress didn't want to carry on. (I could be wrong here - I'm a passive fan not a megafan)
And when the audiences didn't really take to her they left her in but didn't expand on her role like they had planned to.
Again this is just my little crackpot theory!
xd This really annoys me, it makes her a bit of a spare part with no real purpose!
Also, when she was introduced as the key (I could be getting some points wrong - its so long since I watched those eps) I thought that it would have made more sense plot wise for her to no longer have been there as Buffy's sister once the season ended.
Buffy doesn't have a sister! I would have enjoyed the story arch more if they had realized that Dawn wasn't Buffy's sister, that she wasn't a real person who had been born in the normal way etc and then she would have gone back to not existing once they defeated the big bad. It just anoys me the way that the writers suddenly introduced a sister after so many seasons!!!
And . . . . . .
. . . . . . .
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
I just hate that Dawn! evil biggrin 3nodding
