Setting|[{==>>--~~~!!**STILL ACCEPTING PROFILES**!!~~~--<<==}]|/ Update (04/15/07): I think there might be some confusion. Most of the characters and monsters in this story will come from the world created by Wizards of the Coast: Magic the Gathering. Creatures will be matched according to realm unless I bring in something else. Please do not attempt to bring in creatures from another realm unless you OK it with me. I'm sorry I didn't clear this up earlier but now let it be known. Questions or comments? PM Me.All Characters must begin within a port town and within the pub. The begining will be at night. I don't care how your character got/gets there. If you are going to participate in the storyline you have to be there.
Presnet day. Real life (take a look around your home - yes, that real life, the one we ignore so often). in the late medieval times.
There is not magic. There will be. But there isn't right now. Profile PerametersAll profiles must be PMed to me. Profiles posted here will be ignored and deleted.

Quote: RulesGaia TOS. NO one liner replies. They will be deleted and entirely ignored by the other role players. NO God-moding unless I have given you a prior ok to do so. Quote: Magical Artifacts Haliginatious Potion: Alchemy at its most destructive state. The Haliginatious potion Can cause a large part of a plane to fold in upon itself. Think of it like this. Take a piece of paper, put a line of glue at each end and then fold it together. Now add water, mountains, people and anything else on the effected area and you have youself ripe destruction. Quote: Magical Tattoos The Sunburst: This tattoo inceases the amount of white mana a mage can call upon. As the mage increases itself in its arts the tattoo grows in power as well. Be warned though, Mana burn is very common with this tattoo. (For every one mana you summon from the plains, you get two more of that same color.) Quote: NPC ImagesAs new important characters are introduced I will be posting images of them here as they come along. - Garth - Tahngarth - ( More will come )

Roster --- Full Name: Qualinesti Silvagonesti Majere Social Position: Renegade Mage (though mostly just on Krynn. Otherwise, a common traveler.) Appearance: (Image) Her robes are deep crimson colored and extend to the floor, her eyes are golden, and her staff is almost identical to the Staff of Magius (Wooden staff with a gold dragon claw clutching a smooth orb. The Staff of Magius has a many facetted orb, hers is smooth.)
- There is a door infront of you. Something you want is on the otherside of it. What do you do? Check the door for wards or spells of protection. Peer through the key hole, knock softly, then go in if all is well. - You are a common soldier with a wooden spear in the mix of a massive battle. Your leader orders you to charge the enemy. Your army have about 25 men left against a force of 1000. What do you do? Common soldier... My husband would be better prepared to answer this. He is more experienced in this area. I suppose I would get close to two or three others and after we had charged into the mass, form a triangle or square depending on how many of us made it in. If you stayed in that position I'm certain you'd do more damage than alone. Depending on what we were defending, however, I might also stand back and wait until after a first line had gone. It would make the second line more capable of getting through and more able to do damage to the opposing force... Then again, as I said, my husband would be better able to answer this. - A living thing that was very close to you dies suddenly. An old mage tells you that you can bring it back if you were to sacrifice two years of your life. What do you do? What are the conditions on the living thing once it is brought back? Would it be gaurunteed a complete life or only a few moments? If something dies, most likely it is intended to, though I might be willing to take the risk, depending on what would come of the resurrection. - There is a fight between three creatures. One is a frail looking mage that can only stand by the strength of his staff. One is a massive giant who uses trees for toothpicks. The last is an agile warrior who's weapon strikes only key places in a body. Which one of these fighters are you? YOU HAVE TO CHOOSE ONE OF THE THREE. The frail looking mage. *said with a smirk and a nostalgic look* - You lay next to a fallen friend who has just been picked off by a rouge from behind. Beside you lays an item that will cause extreme (if not fatal) damage to everything around you and a chipped and nearly broken shortsword what has almost been eaten by rust is near to you as well but it isn't as close as the destructive item. The naves charge at you - What do you do? How many are there? If there are less than, oh, say ten, I would most likely pick up the dangerous item and pocket it, simply to keep it away from my enemies. It would not be used. Ten would be do able I suppose. The sword could prove quite useful. The rust would be a valuable spell component. Then again, so would the sulfer in my robe pocket, or even simply the staff. Again, it would depend on numbers. - If yesterday was two days ago tomorrow, will the day after tomorrow be today or yesterday? Neither. The day after tomorrow is exactly that. The day after tomorrow. - You are queen/king of the forest - what animal are you and why? Lets see, this is earth, correct? Lions I believe this realm is obsessed with. (though a songbird can easily charm the great cat...*wink*) Though on Krynn, I'm certain I would be a green dragon... Good magic, horrible practices. *shakes head*--- Full Name: Sturm Majere Social Position: Knight of the Crown (Socially on Krynn... um, before death. Now simply a knight... or traveller I suppose...) Appearance: This is actually a picture of my father. I look very much like him though, only my eyes are green and I have my mother's fire red hair.
- There is a door infront of you. Something you want is on the otherside of it. What do you do? Knock and go in. My wife would take too long, though precaution is sometimes good I suppose... *rolls eyes* - You are a common soldier with a wooden spear in the mix of a massive battle. Your leader orders you to charge the enemy. Your army have about 25 men left against a force of 1000. What do you do? If the leader orders a charge I am bound to follow it. I have sword allegiance to him/her so I will charge with the 25 men, spear in hand to fight. - A living thing that was very close to you dies suddenly. An old mage tells you that you can bring it back if you were to sacrifice two years of your life. What do you do? Um... No? That might turn out badly... Mages have a funny way of doing things. My wife will even agree to that... *holds up both hands, shrugging and raising his brow* - There is a fight between three creatures. I would hope to be the agile warior! *jovial smile and a shrug* - You lay next to a fallen friend who has just been picked off by a rouge from behind. Beside you lays an item that will cause extreme (if not fatal) damage to everything around you and a chipped and nearly broken shortsword what has almost been eaten by rust is near to you as well but it isn't as close as the destructive item. The naves charge at you - What do you do? How many are there? Um... I suppose go for the sword. Rust can be bad on a wound, so it's bound to do enough damage to at the very least be remembered by. The item I wouldn't touch! *shakes head like you're insane for asking it* That's Qual's department! - If yesterday was two days ago tomorrow, will the day after tomorrow be today or yesterday? Two weeks after 12 days ago. *nods* - You are queen/king of the forest - what animal are you and why? White stag? Not Huma's tale, right... *puts hand to his chin thoughtfully* Maybe one of the Silvanesti Griffons... or a wisp. They seem to be the most agile creatures and the most intelligent I've seen. As long as I'm not a green dragon. *rolls his eyes and shakes his head* They're a little... odd, I suppose.--- Full Name: Yue (pronounced Yoo-ay) Ashela Kyndreth Social Position: Commoner, though she works as an apprentice apothecary. Appearance: Yue Image - There is a door in front of you. Something you want is on the other side of it. What do you do? Look under the door and through the other side, if all seems well, open the door and look about some more before entering fully and obtaining the desired item. - You are a common soldier with a wooden spear in the mix of a massive battle. Your leader orders you to charge the enemy. Your army has about 25 men left against a force of 1000. What do you do? Mutter a prayer and go to die honorably defending my people. - A living thing that was very close to you dies suddenly. An old mage tells you that you can bring it back if you were to sacrifice two years of your life. What do you do? Ask what sort of health or life would be in store for the deceased, and if it was reasonable, or if it was in its best interest, approve. The frail mage, simply because looks can be deviously deceptive. - You lay next to a fallen friend who has just been picked off by a rouge from behind. Beside you lays an item that will cause extreme (if not fatal) damage to everything around you and a chipped and nearly broken short sword what has almost been eaten by rust is near to you as well but it isn't as close as the destructive item. The naves charge at you - What do you do? Take the rusted sword and strike, then hope the rust takes effect on his body if the blow alone does not kill him. - If yesterday was two days ago tomorrow, will the day after tomorrow be today or yesterday? It would be the day after tomorrow? o.o @.@ - You are queen/king of the forest - what animal are you and why? I would be the owl. Silent death on wings to its prey, with the eyes that see all in the shroud of darkness, yet somber and full of secrets.--- Full Name: Emmeline Dornroschen (Em-meh-leen Doorn-ro-shin) Social Position: Noble, Lady Appearance: Image
- There is a door infront of you. Something you want is on the otherside of it. What do you do? I knock. press my ear to the door to listen for sound. Check every way possible that there is nothing dangerous (basically look from every angle, under cracks, through the key whole) then throw open door moving to the side quickly. look through door way if nothing jumps out, then go in and explore if all is good. - You are a common soldier with a wooden spear in the mix of a massive battle. Your leader orders you to charge the enemy. Your army have about 25 men left against a force of 1000. What do you do? I move to the back. Let the others go infront of me, then charge, giving the others time to clear out some of the enemy. Then stay near others to keep myself safer. - A living thing that was very close to you dies suddenly. An old mage tells you that you can bring it back if you were to sacrifice two years of your life. What do you do? I wouldn't do it. I have loved and lost a lot of people and animals, and I wouldn't change what happened for the world because they all went quickly, though a few painfully. I wouldn't bring them back, I love them to much to bring them back only to know I would lose them again. It would be to painfull to go through it again. The mage. They wouldn't think him a danger giving him a chance to attack with the most amount of surprise, and though he be old, he can still do harm. - You lay next to a fallen friend who has just been picked off by a rouge from behind. Beside you lays an item that will cause extreme (if not fatal) damage to everything around you and a chipped and nearly broken shortsword what has almost been eaten by rust is near to you as well but it isn't as close as the destructive item. The naves charge at you - What do you do? I make a grab for the short sword to fight until I can no longer swing the short sword. Being sure to stay close to the item. If the sword fails or I can't reach it in time, I grab the item and use it. - If yesterday was two days ago tomorrow, will the day after tomorrow be today or yesterday? The day after tomorrow, it will always be the day after tomorrow. It can never be anything but the day after tomorrow. - You are queen/king of the forest - what animal are you and why? hm.. That's tough. I would probably be either a Tiger or a falcon or an Owl. The tiger has strength. The falcon, for it's speed, agility, and intelligence. The owl for it's size, it's hunting ability, and wisdom.--- Full Name: Don Wyatt Social Position: Duke Appearance: His very appearance commands power and proclaims the power of his position. His stony black eyes seem dark against his shoulder length brown hair. He's tall, almost 5'8, as he towers over you. He dons fine clothes; A wine colored shirt that buttons down, brown soft leather pants, and a large overcoat. His fingers are studded in jewels.
- There is a door infront of you. Something you want is on the otherside of it. What do you do? Don forcefully grapples the door knob; it won't budge. He mumbles under his breath in frustation. The giant of a man backs up a few steps and braces his body in preparation for impact. He tackles the door with the force of three men, it tumbles to the ground.
- You are a common soldier with a wooden spear in the mix of a massive battle. Your leader orders you to charge the enemy. Your army have about 25 men left against a force of 1000. What do you do? Retreat, death would be pointless seeing as it would hardly have any effect. - A living thing that was very close to you dies suddenly. An old mage tells you that you can bring it back if you were to sacrifice two years of your life. What do you do? Two years of my life is worth [insert living thing's name here]'s life, I would lose eight years if I tried to live with the loss.
The agile warrior because he has less obvious weaknesses. The giant is obviously weak within the fact that he is all Brawn and no brain, and the mage is weak in the fact he is physically frail. The agile warrior is the most sensible choice here.
I use the shortsword; the extremely fatal weapon isn't worth it because my freind will be afflicted by it as well.
- If yesterday was two days ago tomorrow, will the day after tomorrow be today or yesterday? Today? This confuses me a bit.
- You are queen/king of the forest - what animal are you and why? Lioness; She has prowess beauty in her hunting skills. I love her form and grace.--- Full Name: Alorir Carud Gehat'ik (ah-LOR-eer kah-ROOD GE'he-teek) Social Position: Warrior/ex-military commander Appearance: Alorir

Your army have about 25 men left against a force of 1000. What do you do? Throw the spear with the deadly accuracy that I always have then take them on hand to hand - A living thing that was very close to you dies suddenly. An old mage tells you that you can bring it back if you were to sacrifice two years of your life. What do you do? Start the ritual(lol) - There is a fight between three creatures. I am the agile warrior. The naves charge at you - What do you do? grab the destructive item and kill everyone(I hope) - If yesterday was two days ago tomorrow, will the day after tomorrow be today or yesterday? tomorow - You are queen/king of the forest - what animal are you and why? the hawk, for it has the keen sight that is need to watch over that which is most dangerous.--- Full Name: Birov Aiden Social Position: Commoner / Assassin Appearance: Image

I need no weapons to bring death upon anyone brave enough to charge at me - If yesterday was two days ago tomorrow, will the day after tomorrow be today or yesterday? today? - You are queen/king of the forest - what animal are you and why? I am a mighty wolf! Strong and agile I will surely beat anyone who comes against me.

Full Name: Demian (to tame) Social Position: commoner Appearance:
- There is a door infront of you. Something you want is on the otherside of it. What do you do? I observe the door to make sure there are no traps...I wouldn't want to just rush in without any forethought - You are a common soldier with a wooden spear in the mix of a massive battle. Your leader orders you to charge the enemy. Your army have about 25 men left against a force of 1000. What do you do? Soldiers are all mindless twits. An old mage tells you that you can bring it back if you were to sacrifice two years of your life. What do you do? If I know enough about the mage I may trust him...although...If I take off two years of my life at least I will die knowing that that imbecile Feodora would be dieing early as well... - There is a fight between three creatures. I have two more slots. Once those get filled we'll start the role play. Also, people need to know that they have to join this role play in order to get into the massive roleplay of Dominaria that Me and Naurlote have been working on for a time now. If people don't join fast enough here I'm going to outsource for writers in the collaborative forums and they'll have seats in the bug RP before the guild members. I wanna get this show on the road and if the guild members can't 'fulfil' the need I'll find other sources.
I will accept more than just 2 more characters. I need ATLEAST two more charas. You are allowed to multi-char. Naur is doing it and God knows I am ( x-x; ). So hop on the band wagon and join the fun! biggrin

It was about midnight, the port town was just starting to nestle into its sleep when the ship arrived. It was a massive ship and had several sails that opened on the sides of it as opposed to having a mast. It was very pointy and looked like it came from a far off land that hadn't been domesticated by the hand of king or country. It docked, nearing close to the platform and some sailors jumping off to tie the ship down.
That was when the man came off the ship. He wore one of those mysterious cloaks that all heros of stories wore except he didn't have the hood up. It was leather and it seemed rather dirty and unkempt thanks to the parts of unmatching patches that were sewn in. He had a patch over his left eye, his good eye was dark brown and was blood shot with fatigue. But you couldn't tell from the way he held himself. He seemed ever prepared to take on one of those sneaky assassins that just always seemed to pop up at the most undesirable times in a good story. He stood straight and took in a deep breath of the ocean air. He let out a sigh, like it was the only moment in which he could rest - those few moments where his lungs absorbed the cool damp air of the port. He wiped his mouth and leaned forward a bit, like he was about to march up to some toothless ogre and go hand to hand with it.
No. Garth The One-Eye wouldn't do that. Ogres were no fun at all. He'd wait for the dumb thing to charge him and then step to one side and allow the ogre to stumble into the ocean. Garth thought it over in his mind some, the comical scenerio playing in his mind's eye as he purposfully walked towards the only building in the whole town that still had its lights on. The Pub.
A social gathering place, a hidden sanctuary amongst drunks and wenches. The pub is as good a place to start as any, he thought. He pushed the doors open and stepped in proudly. His presance gaining instant attention. Like he was a black spot on a wedding gown, the patrons looked on at him in awe and disgust. Garth hadn't had the chance to bathe in the past few months, which meant his horrid body odor would follow his 'presance' around everywhere he went. Its not that he didn't want to take a bath. Its just he had no time to deal with getting clean. Especially at a time like this.
"Ahoy there mates!" His voice, to everyone's surprise, had the sound and ring of a scholar. Now it was like the black spot had a red spot upon it.
"I'm looking for some new shipmates. Riches and glory beyond your dreams," he said this boredly, his hand waving to try and keep him from going to sleep, "Are there any takers?"
He looked around at everyone. Everyone was still a little dumbstruck by this man but one of the men who hadn't lost himself in the alchohol just yet raised his voice among the silence.
"Who are you?" The man asked.
"Who am I?" Garth's eye quirked angrily, "Who am I you say?" The light in the room seemed to get a tad bit dimmer as his voice boomed to slight unnatural proportions - but that was probably just the ale doing its job.
"I am Garth," he looked up, remembering something, "Captain Garth. I man the wheatherlite. Me and my men have just docked here a few moments ago. We have come from.." He looked off into the spiraling intracacies of the wood flooring, trying hard to think of how to put what he wanted to best,
"A.. Far away land." He nodded with his self-approval, "We've fought some of the wretched Keldon barbarians, some of the Vesuvian troublemakers and even fended off the Predator for a few months before we had to make a stop here and re-supply and re-man. Anyone who joins, I will teach the.." he paused again to think, "Ways of my people. You will have full quarters and at the very least a full meal each night. A share of whatever treasure we happen upon, a chance to fulfill your dreams and maybe even rule your own land one day. In exchange you must follow my orders loyally and bravely. I won't say that this will be an easy voyage but it will be enjoyable for those who would like to.. Get out.." He smirked at his word choice. Proud of his own tongue.
"Well? Any takers? We are already preparing to make preperations to leave."

Emmeline, a Lady. Her dress of forest green, her cloak of emerald, her eyes a color of turquoise. She sat there at a table, away from the fowl smelling men and drunken whores nursing a small bottle of beer. She wasn't much of a drinker, but she hated her status and wished she was something else, even if it was a bar wench. She may have more freedom as far as rights went, but there it stopped. She had to much expected of her.
Her mind drifting through different thoughts until she watched a man come in. Studying him through the darkness her hood provided to keep her identity a secret, she noticed that he looked tired, her eye for detail picking up on the bloodshot eye. She frowned, but listened to what he had to say anyway.
She only picked up on certain parts of the mans words, the ones that appealed to her. "We've fought some of the wretched Keldon barbarians, some of the Vesuvian troublemakers and even fended off the Predator for a few months before we had to make a stop here and re-supply and re-man. Anyone who joins, I will teach the.." he paused again to think, "Ways of my people. You will have full quarters and at the very least a full meal each night." Sounded good to her. She didn't care about the riches, just an added bonus, she only wanted to get out of this town, away from her status, and have an adventure or two.
Being a lady, she was expected to sit straight, talk only when talked to, smile politely, courstie to all the men and women of status. She frowned, she hated that life. Emmeline had a wild spirit that craved adventure, and if this was her chance, she would accept it gratefully.
"Well? Any takers? We are already preparing to make preperations to leave."
Standing from her place in the corner, she made sure to keep her hood up and walked over to the man named Garth.
"I take your offer to join your crew sir." she said as she watched him, her eyes shining with life as she took this as her chance.

Garth looked down at the little lady. He was sixfeet and two inches, just enough to tower over her like an ominous black fortress in the distance. He did not smile, he did not move except only to turn his head to look down at her. He narrowed his only good eye, his aethreal hand (Aether is like the spirit of magic) reached out and connected to her own aether. He could feel it. The mixture of the mountains, islands and plains. The mana that swirlled around her very soul took the colors of red, blue and white. When he was done he withdrew his invisable hand and smiled.
"Welcome aboard, miss. I'll have to tell you though, there will be no titles on board except for mine." Garth had an uncanny way about satisfying people when he tried to offend them. Or - seem like he tried to offend them.
He spoke again, his voice booming over the small pub again, "The ship is the largest one at the port - You can bring what you will but it has to fit in this." He handed her a small silk pouch, her name sewn into it the side with three jewls underlineing her name. Ruby, diamond and saphire.
As he handed it to her he bent over to whisper in her ear, "By the way, the answer was yesterday." He stood tall again, his voice booming with power, "Any more takers? I haven't all night."

Emmeline chuckled lightly, "I need no title except for my name." she said as she moved away from him and back over to her corner. She had what she wanted with her. It was on her body. Her grandmother's necklace, her brothers ring that he gave her before going rogue, her mother's headpeice that she swore she would always wear and keep, and her father's dagger that she wore on one hip. There was nothing other than the clothes on her back that she would take with her, and her falcon, but he came at a whistle. She smiled lightly thinking of Thaos.
He had to be the most faithful pet she could think of, but she never thought of him as a friend, a companion. She sighed a bit and moved from her corner, walking to the door of the bar and whistling loudly for Thaos. She had raised him from a hatchling when she found him and she took him in. Ever since them she had used him for someone to talk to or delivering letters for somewhat distant friends. It was nice, but she stopped after a while, and saw no point in it since they never answered.
Sighing she smiled when he came and landed on her shoulder, and she started towards the docks and the ship that carried her future.

Amidst the calm waters of night in the little harbor town sat a foreign boat in its land. Don was clad in his finest, riding his prized horse into the small town; his territory. When he came upon this boat, he frowned. Luke, an elderly old sailor he had paid to watch over the harbor, came up to Don’s white mare. “Have ye collected the toll on this one yet?” Don inquired, always eager to make another dime. Luke shifted his weight from one foot to the other. “Well ye see…” The old man started. “You’ve been drinking again haven’t you?” The duke stated dangerously. Luke nodded. Don sighed, annoyed in Luke’s numerous failures. “So did you happen to see where the b*****d went to?” The duke asked. Luke nodded rapidly, glad that he did something right for once, “Aye Lord Wyatt, he’s in the old pub causin’ a racket of sorts”. Don turned his horse in the direction of the pub, without another word to Luke. “Come on Nadia”, He coaxed and disappeared into the black fog, out of the sailor’s sight.

Alorir looked up as Garth walked in and listened to him. As he sipped his drink, he watched as a few of the other patrons walked over to him and joined up. He watched Garth for a few moments, thinking hard. As a Celestial, I'm bound to do good, this sounds like a mighty quest indeed. He finished his drink and heard a call of, "Any more takers? I haven't all night."
He stood, grabbing his war axe, and walked over to the man. Standing over eight feet tall, Alorir towered over the man, "I'm in." he said in a deep voice from beneath his helmet, "When do we leave?"

Garth looked up at the giant man, an intimidating sight for one who didn't understand the aether. Garth of course searched the man as he did the lady, finding only mountains and swamps around his spirit. Though mainly mountains. Pulling back his aether hand his good eye quirked.
"Kind of a carefree wild man aren't ya? I haven't seen so much mountain in a person since I fought Maraxus of the Keldons. I have a friend on board whos more skilled than you both in hand to hand combat and in the ways of my people. As long as you listen to my orders and don't fly off the handle, there won't be too many problems between the two of us." Garth's voice didn't have harshness to it, just a disciplined firmness.
He tossed him a pouch with the man's name sewn into it, two jewls underlining his name, a ruby and an onyx stone.
"You'll see us - we're the biggest ship in the port so far." He said watching the lady leave.
Turning back to the overarmored warrior, "Everything you want to bring has to fit in that pouch." He looked at the man's war-axe.
