Flames: the only way that immature idiots seem to be able to express themselves.
Everyone has gotten one. Or seven. Or a billion.
Some people may have given one. Or seven. Or a billion. (But we're over that now, yes?)
This is the thread to discuss the funniest, most non-sensical, stupidest, etc. etc. flames you've gotten, or if you've ever given a flame, the chance to get it off your chest.
We promise not to judge TOO harshly, right?

The only flame that I've ever gotten (that I can remember) was on my Nightmare Before Christmas fanfic and read something along the lines of
"that was sure damn stupid of Lock! I mean, GOSH. And isn't he already dead?"
Except it lacked capital letters and correct spelling and punctuation and everything.
It admittedly upset me quite a bit. But after re-reading that fic a few weeks ago I realized that it was indeed quite stupid. But I don't care. That fic was my baby for like four months. biggrin
So yeah.
I've been fortunate to only recieve one in my life, but that may be because I don't post a lot of stories on the internet. I don't know why. Probably scared that someone's going to go and rip them off and turn them into some stupid, uber crappy DBZ fanfic and kill it completely.

Um... I don't think I've gotten many flames? I did end up flaming someone when I was, like, nine and they insulted my favorite show, but it was also really late at night, and I wasn't thinking. I felt really bad about it in the morning and apologized.
I don't recall flaming anybody since then... Though I was a horrible little n00b of a nine-year old, now that I look back on it. My one redeeming feature was that I didn't use chatspeak. sweatdrop

I don't think I got any recently...but I was once called a b***h for getting angry at someone who instead of really critiquing, corrected my spelling and grammar.

I'll admit, I tend to flame at the I'm-so-cool-I-use-chatspeak-and-I-pwn-you n00b peoples who think they're so much cooler than everyone else and that the rules don't apply to them.
But I sure as hell don't feel bad about it. Those runts NEED a good flame. XD
But that's the only time I flame. I get flamed sometimes, but I've forgotten most of them. It doesn't bug me. o.o;;

Uhm.... Honestly, I can't recall ever being flamed sweatdrop I hardly ever post my work online, though, so it makes sense...
I've seen some funny flames, but I can't rememebr them right now. If I find some, I'll post them smile

I flame at people sometimes... but only if they beg for stuff. And then I at least try to use somewhat-nice language instead of being all like 'OH MY GOSH WHAT THE HECK WHY ARE YOU BEGGING STUPID HEAD!?!?' which is very like me to do... sweatdrop

I usually do the flaming, but I also don't do it on people's work. I flame people's ideas and bumping in the SF and Q&A. sweatdrop

I got flamed once and I wasn't the only one laughing.
I wrote some random possible adventure in my story and I mention them getting from one star system to another in five days. Normally this is longer than most stoires such as Star Wars, but somebody started to flame (with more swearing than I believed possible let alone credible) at how fast they went. When I looked into the topic again (I decided not to answer him) three different people beat him down because of that remark and, increbily, he turns around and says that they took too long. I answer him that time and pointed out that in Star Trek it took them a week between stars.

I've never gotten a flame before. But people do give me reviews. But there are some n00bs on fanfiction.net that all they ever do is flame.
Those people must have sad, sad lives. And I bet they write even worst stories.
Once I gave a review, but it wasn't a flame or anything. I was just pointing out what could've been better and that some characters were OOC. And then they emailed me and totally bit my head off virtually. It was kinda sad.
