Long limbs raced across the desert followed by another pair of limbs, smaller and just a tad bit slower that those of the older, more experienced creature. Yellow eyes surveyed the empty grounds before them. There was something out here the canine was looking for, something.
Ever since her talk with the white lioness her interest had been sparked. Where was this alleged 'Mans Oasis"? How many still remained now that their idiotic king was now dead due to foolish actions?
It sounded so appealing, atleast for a visit. Perhaps those that remained would follow her to the pride of the young queen Mpenzi. Of course she would let them decide when she met them, see if there was a place they wanted to go, if not then she would lead them to the home of the colorful minded lioness.
Perfect.
Finally green imagery began to show and the black and green maned wolf picked up her pace only after glancing at her daughter who understood instantly.
The two moved faster closing the gap at a rapid pace. Finally the reached the shaded part of the oasis. Moving along Siria'Chunuka looked for signs of life, anything. Unfortunately, as she thought for the moment, she only came upon a body of water, not as large as a lake but large and deep enough to swim in.
Moving toward it she let her daughter rest and drink up as she moved around, never to far from the younger maned wolf looking for signs of life.

Ruki, who as of late had been found wandering the shadows of the oasis, had just woken in a bit of shade within the ruins she was raised in. What with the heat and sun..? Who wouldn't? Despite living nearly her entire life here, she didn't think she'd ever feel it would be a place to call home. Never. Perhaps.. with the news of Nyek falling and the 'pride' finally splitting apart..? Maybe she'd be able to leave.. maybe.
This in mind, she continued to live on, although leaving her cubs, unfortunately, to fend for themselves around here (perhaps a mild side effect of being controlled so harshly for so long by Nyek). They'd live.. right? And if they ever needed something.. well. They knew where to find her.
With a quiet yawn and a quick peek to the surroundings, to be sure no one was out and about to bother her, Rukiya brought herself to a stand before quickly heading in the direction of the main source of water. Well. It was the only source, but she often tried to avoid it since the few individuals still here often collected at that source.
Assuming that the majority of the group had left, however, she quietly headed in the direction of the water, not even bothering to check to see if anyone was there. If she had even bothered to look up and see well.. she might've turned around after noticing the two bright colored figures wandering nearby. But for the moment? Her only objective was to get a quick drink and leave. Ruki never wasted time in the sun. It was much too warm for her tastes.

So there still remained a few individuals, or atleast one, here in the oasis. It bothered the older maned wolf little, instead she found herself amused, especially by the fact that the other had paid little attention to them and they stood out quite nicely mainly because of the colorful bright shades of green that decorated their pelt.
Moving forward Siria'Chunuka's yellow eyes, the most common for her speices, studied the figure of the lioness. The canine could tell that the other was still young, probably hadn't been a fully grown adult for more that a few month, but she could be wrong in that point. The maned wolf could also tell by the scars upon the lioness's face that she had been through hard times, harder than the white lioness from the story that she had heard.
There was no doubt that she wanted to get out. It wasn't hard to tell, but she had to make sure.
Calmly Siria'Chunuka called out to the other. "You are one of the trapped ones are you not?" Her words were cryptic, in a sense, but she was more blunt than she normally was around others, there was no real beating around the bush this time.
The smaller maned wolf stood by the side of the other until she moved away. Remaining behind her mother she examined the other, she was a pretty one, her pink fur standing out so nicely, especially in this setting. Taking a glance at her mother with slightly darker eyes the pup moved to a sitting postion as she waited to see what the other would say to her mother's word.

The little pink trouble-maker was practically a dopple-ganger to her estranged mother, but had certainly inherited more of her late father's attributes than her mother's. Dhiki was hard to pin down anyway, but of late she had often wandered all day long around the now emptying Oasis, maybe looking for any sign of her legendary father.
The poor cub was terribly conflicted about the rumours of Nyek's death. She hardly knew him as a father, only as the tyrant and rather scary figure of a bone-white lion. All she had to cling to really was an infamous stripe of pink running from her nose to her tail, and the myth like stories she had heard and been told. So much had she wanted to see him in action, not once questioning the pain and hurt he caused in his wake. To Dhiki, there was no concept of right and wrong.
Today, her wanderings forced her into an adventure clambering all over the ruins that scattered the Oasis. She slipped along the way but finally made it to a great vantage point, a place she had wanted to climb to since she was much smaller. She stood proud, like a little queen surveying her territory. And it was from here she saw her distinctive mother at the watering hole.
Compelled more by the urge to know what was happening, she scrambled back down and then slinked her way towards the little impromptu meeting, making no attempt to hide her pink pelt but neither announcing her entrance either. She just lurked on the outer edges.

Rukiya stopped instantly at the sound of the other, her pink paws halting mid-step while those blue eyes of hers had snapped immediatly to the origin of the sound. For several minutes she stood, silent as a stone, those eyes of hers surveying and studying the two critters. What were they?
Well. In the very least the older one was.. female. And seemed to some extent friendly..? Relaxing, to some extent, the pink adult finally decided to speak after giving a slight roll of her shoulders.
"Uhm.. sort of..?" She began, her voice a bit quieter than she would've liked. It had been so long since she had had any contact with outsiders, let alone with anyone in the actual clan because of Nyek. And when he'd finally gone and died..? Everyone left. Ir ruined her chances of socializing while she grew.
Thinking back to the maned wolf's question, Ruki contemplated silently the situation. Not that she hadn't thought of it before..? But well. No stranger had ever showed up, so she'd assumed she'd be living here forever. She didn't necessarily know if she was trapped.. but she was pretty well stuck in the oasis..? Maybe that did mean that she was trapped..? That she couldn't leave..? Maybe.
(( *is feeling as if she's repeating herself* XDDD; ))

The features of the other remained emotionless when Rukiya began to speak. A slight smirk crossed the tip of her lips before quickly fading. Taking a step forward she let her tail flick behind her before taking a seat herself.
Yellow eyes never left the lioness as she moved and began to speak. "Do you seek a way out of this hellish place," She paused for a minute, perhaps for dramatic effect. " To a place that does not reek of a man you belittled you, took advantage of you, marked you, and forced you to live in a place that you would not be able to escape without risking death through the heat of the desert?" The maned wolf inquired looking extremely calm as she did so. "Is there not someone out there that you wish to see, to be with once again but cannot due to being stuck here?" Another pause before she posed just one more question. "Or do you just wish to escape this place, to be free?"
With that being said, Siria mearly watched the other having nothing more to say, not yet. She was waiting, waiting for the response of the other, when she noticed another figure not too far off. Pink like the other before her, tilting her head slightly that way she gave Shaira'Lejali an order to go talk to the other.
Noting the tilt of the head of the older maned wolf, Shaira'Lejali turned her own head in the direction that the other had before. Nodding she rose to her paws and headed in the direction of the smaller pink form.
Lejali noted the similarity of the coloration and decoration of Dhiki's fur along with the older lioness Rukiya. A soft smile was upon her features as she came to a stop at what seemed to be a comfortable distance away. "Hello there," Lejali chimed her smile not fading "my name is Sharia'Lejali, it's nice to meet you."
She decided to start things off simple unlike her mother.

Dhiki watched the non-feline approach, quite thankful that it appeared smaller and younger than the other one. All she knew was that it wasn't a lion, so what was it?
She flinched at first, her youth betraying her wish to be strong and brave like her father. Her mother hadn't really entered into her mind, she wasn't quite sure what she was either. When Lejali stopped and spoke her pleasant greeting, Dhiki rose back to a confident stance.
"Wow thats a long name. My name is Dhiki," she replied with a playful grin.
