meh, it depends. some anime are better in the original language, and others are better dubbed. example: naruto. the original is better than the dub, since the dub was butchered.

watch saiyuki sometime, dub and original. it's one case of the dub being better; although, the original is good for a few laughs.

Sometimes the voices just sound better to me in english, but for the hard to find eppys and the ones i don't have I usually watch in original, with subs... I love the original YuGiOh! The original Yami sounds so evil and awesome in jap!

I watch them in Japanese most of the time to see all of the episodes they have out but if they come out in English and I don't want to read I'll watch it in English. But mostly now I'm into Japanese. But I'll watch English or Japanese it doesn't matter.

I think some shows where there is supposed to be a really cute character (like Chiyo-Chan from Azumanga Daioh!) most of the time she/he sounds cuter, but more annoying characters(like tomo from Azumanga Daioh!) are 10 time more annoying in japanese...

I prefer to watch it in the japanese with subtitles, if that's how I started out watching the series. However, if I start to watch something in english, say I saw it on tv, I usually watch it in english. Then again, I hate some of the english voices with a passion, like the guy who does Dr. Muraki's voice in Yami no Matsuei in english. It all depends.
And even then, sometimes I'll watch it in english, then watch it again in japanese, so I can get all the funny bits from both languages ^^ heh

speaking of voices, and VAs, don't you just hate it when they decide to switch VAs? it happened for saiyuki reload, and it threw me off (and scared me). now, i don't touch reload with a ten-and-a-half foot pole.

What about a thirty nine and a half foot pole? (obvious reference to the Grinch)
I don't like new VA's either... I was watching YuGiOh and they changed Mai's voice... And it just weirded me out...

Japanese with english subtitles, if they are accurate. Nothing is more bothersome than when the anime has totally butchered the subs. Dubbing always ruins it I believe. You lose something in the meanings.

I have to agree, but i do admit that I watched the first five eps of FMA in english simply because it was funnier as i could understand the differnt voice tones better.
