It's come to my attention that we have had a lot of important FM issues that have been posted that are starting to flood the main page, and it would work better if we kept the news all in one place. This being it....SO from now on, if you have news related to Flogging Molly, post it in here. Below is an example of how I would like your news posted (Feel free to change the colors, but try to keep the format the same:
FLOGGING MOLLY IS IN THE STUDIO AND MATT IS BACK
Flogging Molly is currently cutting tracks for their new album expected in early 2008. They spent the pre-production period and are recording in Dave King's native Ireland. The band is really excited about the new material, new album and the return of their brother in arms.
Long time accordion player and gentleman, Matt Hensley has re-joined the band after leaving in January of this year for personal reasons. Matt says of his return, "The truth is that my life makes sense again, and I feel like I'm where I need to be in this world." He also ads, "I missed the feeling of 'knowing where you're at.' Being the accordion player in this band is my zone; where I belong. I got emails all the time from people who care deeply about the band. I missed being able to affect people in a positive way."

Hola all my Flogging Molly fan friends!!!
I just found out through an email from Flogging Molly that they are (still) having their GREEN 17 Tour in 2007!!! There are several tour dates up already, and I just found a site to get tickets for the concerts for a lower fee through this website: get PRESALE tickets here.
Once you get to the website, just enter your email address (you WILL NOT!!! be signing up for a mailing list OR be spammed, I promise) and you’ll be sent a link to buy discounted presale tickets with lower service fees. If you want to see one of the best shows in your LIFE, grab these presale tickets before December 15th at 5 (when most of the presales end).

if you haven't seen them live yet you MUST do so! The Green 17 tour is always awesome because it's Flogging Molly celebrating St. Patrick's Day and it's Flogging...MOLLY!!!
so you should definetely check these pre-sale ticket things out.

"First let me say that it has been an honor to play with Flogging Molly for the last 10 years. I would have never thought that playing the accordion, an instrument that almost got me shot when I first was learning, would have led me down a road to Molly Malone's, Dave King, and an extended family called Flogging Molly. I have been blessed to be so lucky. I am writing this to tell you that I am leaving the band. This decision was not easy for me. I have an eight year old son Oliver who is becoming a little man, and the feeling that he needs his old man around is becoming too strong for me to ignore. The older my son gets the harder it is for me to leave him behind to go out on tour. Flogging Molly, as you know, is a hard working band that tours most of the year; I would never try to change that. I must follow my guts and step down. I'm departing the band but I will never leave what Flogging Molly has meant to the fans and myself. I look forward to playing on some songs when the band is in San Diego.
I would like to thank all the loyal Flogging Molly fans for the support that you have given throughout the years. It has been a privilege to play music for you. I would also like to thank all the service men and women who have supported the band, may you keep out of harms way. I would like to thank all the bands that let Flogging Molly open for them and all the bands that opened for Flogging Molly. I'd like to thank all the friends and families who have lost someone and feel a little closer to them during IF I EVER LEAVE THIS WORLD ALIVE - I know how you feel, my mom would get nearer every time I played it.

"Nathen Maxwell's gear was stolen!
We need your help! Our own Nathen Maxwell was on a road trip when his car was broken into in Kingman, Arizona and some of his most prized musical equipment was stolen. We're hoping that you, our fans, can help us out by posting the information on your MySpace pages and just keeping an eye out to see if any of this gear turns up. Here is what was taken:
* National Resophonic bass guitar - This is a one of a kind left handed bass that is not in production anymore. The photo of Nathen on this post shows the bass.
* National bass case that also contained a Highlander IP1X Inline pre-amp and a Korg Toneworks PX3B personal effects processor.
* KoAloha Koa wood Concert Ukulele
* Ampeg Combo amp
As you can imagine, Nathen is very saddened by this loss, especially of the National bass guitar. If you have any information or see any of this gear around, please send a message to FloggingMolly@villamartists.com"
