Gustav wandered in and took a seat with his friends at the long table adorned in red and gold. the empty plates were teasing his hungry stomach. "Hey, sorting is going to be soon. I wounder if we will get any cool kids..." He turned to Drake and smiled. "Hey, there is that Hufflepuff girl you seem to have your eyes on." Sure enough, there she was, Anna walked by and waved at the two boys who were looking her direction. The three had been friends since third year, and Drake had the hots for her.

A'Maire wandered into the hall with Souxe in toe. She crossed the four long tables to reach the end of the Slytherin table where she sat down with her usual look of distaste. Her father had told her stories about the great hall when he had gone to school here. They usually had something to do with potter. Whom they both detested. He also talked about watching the teachers from his seat. Being able to tell which he would like and which he most hated. Her father could go on and on about almost all the teachers except the old postions master. He never talked about him. A'Marie tried to remember the old professors name but was distracted by Souxe.

Souxe had started to feel dirty and decided to clean off his hands. Only when he caught A'Marie's look of shock that he stopped licking his arms. "Well bloody all around!" He mumbled to A'Marie. 'Stay in character you stupid cat' He told himself repeatedly when he had to fight the erge to finish cleaning.

(OOC: It's his character, not actually him, Chelsae. >.<)
Victor sauntered into the hall, holding a conversation with another Slytherin about ethics. Naturally, they had conflicting opinions but Victor respected the fellow Slytherin even though they had radically different mindsets. His eyes wandered to the teachers. Personally, he could never figure out how Mr. Lupin because Headmaster Lupin with his werewolf status. He was probably a slave to having potions whipped up for him before the full moon.

OoC|| Yeah......I was about to point that out. I've had a ton of characters I was disgusted with....one was a total pervert and I couldn't help wondering how in the world he came out of MY head and why I hadn't killed him off yet......rp characters shouldn't be assumed to directly relate with the player.
BiC|| Gretel split off for the Ravenclaw table, sitting next to one of her friends. It was great to be among all her friends again, after a whole summer away. If she wasn't so burstingly happy, she might have cried.

Bridget looked around the Great Hall with a smile home sweet home . . . She walked over to the gryffindor table and found an empty seat. Looking around she saw her fellow classmates talking with old friends and enjoying themselves. She frowned and rested her head on the table, wishing that she had someone to talk to.

Jason had entered the Great Hall just behind Gustav and Drake, but headed for the Ravenclaw table instead. Taking a seat a short ways down the table and across it from Gretel, he glanced around for other friends he hadn't seen on the train. Spotting a couple of them conveniently nearby, he struck up a conversation generally concerning what they'd done over summer break and Quidditch.

OOC-.......
BIC-Lupin walked in and headed toward the table at the front. He turned, sat down and then stood up again. When he stood up, he cleared his throat and began talking. "Shall we all put our hands together to give a warm welcome to this years first years?" He started clapping as did the rest of the hall. At that time, the line of scared first years walked through the door.
"Here we go again....stop staring!" Drake was looking absent minded at Anna again, and Gustav was tired of it so he elbowed his side. "Watch the sorting ok?" Drake apologized and turned his gaze away.

A'Maire didn't clap, she just stared off into space. Then she thought about Souxe for a moment. "How the bloody did you already get into a house if this is your first year at hogwarts mr. transfer student?" A'Marie whispered her questions so only her could hear.
Souxe looked at her for a second as he fomulated his answer. "Simple...this isn't my first year here. Besides, I'm a transfer student and who is really going to notice? The headmaster already knows why I'm here..." Souxe gave a devilish grin and turned to watch the sorting.

Freya thought about skipping the great hall and just heading to her room. But after long thought she decided the stars where holding nothing against her today. She slowly entered the great hall and found herself late as usual. Even when she left early, it was always what they called late. She took her spot at the professors table and pretended to listen to Lupin. Her mind had wandered back into her stars.

Steve was appeared to be what one might call 'slightly miffed'. This, however, meant that on the inside she had already rid several small third world countires of any overpopulation problems and was heading towards the medium sized ones. In all of the hullabaloo by the train, she had lost Victor, which had rid her of her newest actually interesting company and she had not been able to find A'Marie...even though she was bound to have Souxe treading close behind. She had suffered the whole way to the castle trying to ignore the person next to her who seemed bent on forcing her into conversation. It wasn't until she had stared him down so hard that her head head refused to stay still that her screamed and stayed as far away as possible. She had stormed into the great hall with a small hint of fire playing at her fingertips. "I don't lose people, I don't ever lose people," she kept muttering to herself as she threw herself at the table. Suddenly, her empty space at the table suddenly became surrounded by a huge group of second years. She couldn't take it anymore. The barely perceptable flames on her fingers had now appeared at the ends of her hair as well. Her breathing became quick and heavey. The kid across from her at the table was staring at her. Steve begged him to ask if she was alright...oh did she have an answer for him. Suddenly, the headmaster bagan his speech. As the cocaphony subsided and attention moved towards the first years, Steve calmed. Her hair settled, her fingers were still, and her breathing slowed. Another year had officially started.

Professor Belli tented her fingers as she observed the first years. From a few glances, she could see two specific students that she was sure would end up in Slytherin. Oftentimes, Slytherin was mistaken to be an 'evil' house. However, Slytherin has always been there for people who wished to gain more friends. In which, Slytherin appeared rather kind and accepting for the loners, outcasts, and freaks of society that wished to start things off better.
Victor glanced about for Steve and A'Marie. Where had those ladies disappeared off to? Perhaps they would find him sooner if he simply remained in one place. However, he then noticed a girl with flaming hair. Steve. He smiled and waved over to her once the flames had died down. He wondered as to how one could have fiery hair at the very thought of it. Or perhaps it did not require her to think so much as to have a deep reservoir of feelings.
