Death Mountain
A gigantic, active volcano. On mountainside, there are many paths to reach the top. Gorons have mines all over the cliffs, and don't be startled if you find them mining there, as they are friendly, humble people. Tektikes litter the mountain trails, along with the occasional Dodongo. Beware, and make sure your skills are seasoned before you think about even approaching the treacherous Death Mountain!
Inside the volcano is a set of odd stairs. Nobody is sure why they are placed there. Perhaps it was the work of the Godesses... Anyway, you need a Red Tunic to survive inside the volcano.

Max stopped at the foot of the mountain, hoping that the mysterious Seya and the Priest were following him. Max took out his Gilded Sword quietly and quickly, looking at the shining gold and silver diamond pattern reflect off of the sun.
Suddenly, the reflection of the sword caused a group of Tektikes to notice. Three, to be exact. They started hopping wildly in an unpredictable manner towards Max, and screeching uncontrollably.
Max grinned devilishly. "Anybody else want to take this?" Max said, readying his sword as he pounced on the Tektike in a mere second.
Max swiped his sword horizontally and cut off one of the Tektike's legs, and a splash of green blood spilled to the ground. Max cringed as he continued to attack. The Tektike attempted to bounce off of his head, but Max dodged the attack and pulled up his sword, then bringing it down onto the giant arachnid's head, and defeated it.

"Idiot." Rednal said, referring to Max as he plunged the tip of his weapon into the Tektike that leaped at him. The creature burst into flames. "You should never put yourself in unnecessary danger, especially by using more hits than necessary. These are low-level creatures; we can take them in one hit." he pulled the charred monster off of his spear, whirled the weapon around once, and put it back in its holster. "Save the danger for later."

Seya's sword came out with a flash as she arrived; the tip was buried in the eye of the Tektite that attacked her. It gave a slight shudder as it died. "He's right- don't show off unless you need to," said the girl as she used her foot to get the dead monster off her sword, sheathing the weapon so that the glare would not attract more Tektites.
"So. Death Mountain. Any ideas on how we'll survive once we're inside?" she asked, seeming relaxed except for the fact that her hand never strayed too far from her sword.

"Hmph." Max grunted. "Who's showing off?" Taking his sword and putting it back in its sheath, Max sighed and wiped some sweat off of his face. "The heat from the volcano is wearing me down. I doubt we will be able to survive inside without the proper gear..." Max sighed again. "The only special armor we have is Rednal's Blue Tunic. And it's meant for breathing underwater."
Max shrugged and looked around. There wasn't anything else around at the moment. Max took his arm and wiped off the sweat from his face and yawned. Suddenly, an arrow grazed his pants, making a small cut and got caught in the dirt. Max instantly shot his head up, glaring at the Moblins that fired the arrow.
Suddenly, more Moblins rushed up to the cliffside, firing dozens of arrows at a time, flying past the group. Most of the arrows missed, but some grazed Max once more.
"Get out of the way!!" Max shouted, ordering Rednal and Seya to get behind a large boulder. "Do you want to get killed?!" Max took out his bow and quiver and leaned up against the rock, and pulled an arrow back. Max placed an arrow on the bow, pulled back, and let go. One Moblin down. "Rednal! Use Din's Fire to take them out! It's long range!!" Max shot another arrow at another Moblin, and it fell off of the cliff.

Rednal shrugged. "The dragon's nest will be well-ventilated, and warm, but not to the point we can't stand it." he predicted. The boy focused. "Goddess of Power, grant this spell the force of your fury." he prayed as he charged the spell, both hands held in front of him. A moment later, he moved out towards the open and fired off the spell. It hit between two of the Moblins, charring them black as flames flared to life. There were still six of the beasts left, and they were not happy.

"Damn!" Max cursed, pulling back his bow again. "I thought that would take them all out!!" Max then shot an arrow into one of the six Moblins. Max turned quickly to Rednal and yelled over the bows firing at them. "The Dragon's Nest is in the volcano, and I'm sure that it will be warm and well-ventilated." Max continued, with sarcasm. Max then coughed furiously. The smoke was getting to him.
Wait... Max panicked. Smoke?!?
Suddenly, he realized that they had gotten enraged by the falling of their comrades and switched to fire arrows. Max stomped his foot on one of the arrows that had been shot near him to put it out. Turning to Seya, he yelled over the flames. "You haven't gotten a long-range weapon, have you?"

"No, but I can distract them," she called. She picked up several decent-sized, somewhat jagged stones and hurled thems at the nearest Moblins. Dodging behind the boulder to avoid the arrows, she grabbed several more rocks before she came back out and started throwing. Her arms would tire quickly, though, and she knew it.
"If you could teach me that spell you used earlier fast enough, I could try that," she called as she dodged behind the boulder to try to get to safety. "I'm fast enough that I could get in there, use the spell, and get back out without being too badly injured." She picked up a picked up a large rock, just barely, and managed to throw it at the nearest Moblin. It didn't get where she wanted it to get- smashing into its head- but it squashed its foot very nicely. "Oops," she mumbled, ducking behind the rock again to avoid the arrows that were immediately fired.

Rednal watched as the arrows continued to rain down. "Panicking is bad." he said dryly. Checking his location, a little to the side, the boy gripped the walls of the cliff and slowly began climbing up. "Just keep them distracted!" he said. "I can do the rest!" With that, he set about focusing on the task at hand. Moblins were dumb. Period. It was a fact; their brains were incredibly small. Despite that, they could use weapons, but true tactics were not their forte. If their attention was occupied by Max and the girl, they wouldn't be paying attention to anyone sneaking up behind them. And if they did notice, well...
Rednal was moderately certain he could handle it.

"Fine, I suppose." Max sighed, continuing to fire arrows. Noticing more flaming arrows being launched, he picked one up and hid behind the rock to examine it. Then, he gleamed with joy. "If I could take a minute too examine its properties, then I could figure out how to make these myself!"
Max put his face close to the arrow, taking a brief look at it. Then, taking the powdery substance that was on the arrow tip, he rubbed it on to his own arrows. He had created his own flaming arrows!
"Not magic, but still good enough." Max laughed, pointing a flaming arrow at another Moblin, taking it out. "Rednal should be able to handle the rest." Max explained to Seya.

After a minute or two of climbing, Rednal vaulted himself over the edge of the small cliff and onto the path. A Moblin was there, waiting for him. It snorted something that could have been either 'Food!' or 'Run away!', but attacked him with a long, thick spear. Rednal moved to the side, as really, such an attack was not hard to dodge, and pulled his own long weapon off of his back. The boy plunged it into the Moblin's heart. It let out a very porky squeal, shuddered, and burst apart into black smoke.
"That's weird..." Rednal muttered. The loud squeal had alerted the others, though, and a moment later flaming arrows began shooting his way. Their aim was off, though, because they had shot so fast, and Rednal managed to get a running start. Then, displaying a foolish lack of fear, he stabbed his weapon tip-first into the ground and vaulted into the air. The Priest came down hard on one of the remaining beasts, weapon skewering it from the top of the head down. Rednal tugged on his weapon. It wouldn't come loose. "Ah, crap."

Darting out from behind the rock to join Max, she was just in time to see Max figure out how to make fire arrows- and also to see Rednal get Melody stuck in a Moblin. "You're sure about that?" she asked quietly.
The remaining two Moblins, Seya knew, would take this as an opportunity to attack Rednal. Well, she wasn't about to let that happen. Grabbing two more rocks, incredibly jagged ones on which she managed to cut her hands a couple times, and threw them at the Moblins in the way you'd throw a Frisbee, to try and get the most power out of them. It worked exactly as she'd wanted it to, drawing their attention away from Rednal and towards this irritating girl who kept throwing things at them.

"Yes, actually, I am sure in his abilities. He's pretty good." Max laughed, then got a serious face when he saw Seya throwing rocks. "Hey! He's got it under control." Max said sternly, then looked over at Rednal, who had his Melody lance stuck in something on the edge of the small cliff.
Max stood up on a small rock and pulled his bow back, aimed quickly while the Moblin archers were distracted by Rednal, and fired an arrow. The arrow pierced a Moblin and it disappeared in a cloud of white smoke. Max then sat patiently. Rednal should get ready to move soon...

Rednal tugged on his weapon again, placing his foot firmly on the dead monster's skill and hauling out. His weapon refused to budge. Finally, he gave up, looking very annoyed. Conjuring an orb of fire in one hand, he slammed it down into the ground. Flames erupted in an expanding sphere around him, turning the remaining Moblins into so much ash. With them went the beast his weapon was stuck into, allowing Rednal to pull his weapon free.
"Note to self..." he grumbled. "Don't stab enemies that way with a long weapon." He kicked what was left of the Moblin his weapon had gotten stuck in. Petty, yes, but it made him feel better. "Come on, let's get moving."

As the trio continued down the path, Max started to think. There were no Moblins on Death Mountain. Why were they there, and why did they plan such a sudden sneak attack? How would they even know where they were? Max stopped suddenly, glaring at Seya.
"You did this, didn't you?!" Max yelled. "You sent the Moblins here!!" This was the new girl to the group, and she did seem mysterious and mischeavous. And somebody had to alert them of the group's presence.
