Sorry but I've never even tried any of them. Are they any good?

They are, but if you are not oe for giant puzzles and constant battle avoidence/ leveling, don't try picking one up. The max Level on Star Ocean: Till the End of Time is 255. I have only managed to see 50 players who had the patience to level that high.

Really? Sounds interesting... I have been known to have patience when it comes to a game I like so, if I become a fan of it I'm likely to get my characters to those levels. Then again, who knows... mrgreen
But hey, can you tell us why and what are the things you like about this game so much?

Well, they have 3-demensional fighting, meaning the battlefield is completely movable in. Also, the game comes with a unique battle system. instead of having the common name "magic" they replace it with the names "Runeology and Symbology" and also give a brief history about it. These games are usually based in the future, in the time 3120, if i remeber right. But most of the major planets you go to are based in the past, such as fuedal age, the dark ages, or 18th century. Also, In Star Ocean: Till the End of Time, they have a item creation sidequest. It is not crucial, but you can create item, increase its abilities, take off decreasements in the weapon/armor, and create weapons and armor for the characters. Many of the enemies are repeated, but remain challenging and innovated. It also has a great storyline, including plot twist that change the outlook onthe game, and the characters possesses diffrent personalities, specialties, and fighting styles. this adds new ways to play the game and involves more variety in parties. There is a total of 10 characters, of which you can carry a total of 8 in your party. Each of the characters give a special endings, a total of 10, 9 involve pairings with the main character and the party member with the highest affection points, which are earned by Events, which determine a characters liking to you. I can go on, but I should stop here.

Wow! Star Ocean sounds as cool as Legend of Mana. When you say item creation, does it mean that you can also create potions or stuff like that or just equipment?
But hey, if you can go on about this, go ahead! I don't mind... mrgreen

Yep. Potions, food, bombs, gems, accessiories, useless trash, etc. Also, You can kill an enemy by 2 ways: its hp or its mp. Works on you to so keep your health and mp high. Its also advized to kill an enemy by MP when they have high physical defense, and vice versa for high magid def enemies. FYI, the bosses in this game will, more than likely, have more than 2x your health at that level. Endboss had 4000000 health and 30000 mp.

That's awesome! I guess I should get one of those then, huh? That boss reminds me of those huge FF bosses like, the ultima weapons from FF7. Say, is there an enemy that is invulnerable against either HP or MP damage but very weak against the other?

Nope. Its just harder to kill the enemy if they have high defense and you inflict hp damage, same goes for mp hits, though they are only done by strong hits (O button) or by skills.
