In response to this thread, we have it on good authority that the PtB aren't going to change the rules. So we want to change their minds. We made This Thread. For  Crappy avatar and we want to see what damage a big giveaway thread would do if it managed to get into the top ten. Surely if something so craptastic got voted in they would have to revise the rules and stop allowing Giveaway threads advertising Avatar Arena entires. So please vote and mule vote and bump the thread. Let's get the admins to change their minds. If you don't think you can vote 10 on it, at least stop by the thread... you might get something free.

These entries are getting extremely good votes from people, on the off chance that they might get something from the giveaway. It's tantamount to bribing and it should stop. If you look at the first thread I mention it explains what rule we want to change. If you look at the second thread, that is the type of advertising we want to stop.

I read everything but what confuses me is this.... is the Jonas Albrecht person the one with the giveaway thread who is soliciting votes in it? And if so, why is he in your thread agreeing with you if he is doing what it is you are proposing to abolish? Or is it a mule of yours making a point as you have an advert for its thread in your siggy? Sorry I only had time to skim it so everything seemed to jump about a bit and be not so detail oriented and I could have misread things or simply misunderstood what was going on.... but for what it's worth, I gave u a thumbs up. I really didn't know what to say in the thread, if anything, tho I agree something needs to be done becuz AA is a total farce.

Jonas Albrecht is a friend of mine and we decided to make a giveaway thread with a crappy avatar entry just to see what the difference it makes, and to make a point if possible. Jonas does a lot of giveaways anyway, recently he did two 1 million gold giveaway threads. So it wasn't a big deal for him to do it.
(ChickenUnforgiven is a gag entry that appears in the Arena from time to time btw.)
It's actually doing a lot better than it normally does and you should see the comments it's gotten. Most of those comments are from people who are bumping the giveaway thread in hopes of getting an items.
I can say for sure that this entry isn't winning but the difference between the average rate it has now compared to the average rate it normally gets is astounding. It goes to show that an average looking outfit + giveaway thread will propbably get you a top ten rank.

Actually, being detail oriented to a fault, I don't mind verbose except when I'm all stressy over work and stuff or stressed for time, then I try to skim for the "meat" and usually get everything wrong... plus I have this innate need to know everything becuz I guess I'm just nosey that way xp

Mods can't doing anything about it because it's not currently against the rules. We did ask them nicely to change it xd I like the Arena, it's fun but not when people don't play fair.
