Who has played, seen or heard about a game from "the Mana series"? By this I mean a game with the word "Mana" in the title. I have the Legend of Mana and had the Sword of Mana (which I believe is a remake of secret of mana). I gotta say, I didn't like Sword of Mana much but I loved the Legend of Mana. I'd like to see the new version for DS but I don't think I'll be able to. At least not anytime soon anyway...
So, who would like to discuss about this topic, huh?

Ah yes, I have a mag that reviews the DS game and I think the name is actually "Children of Mana". It sounds cool and a friend of mine has it. So far she said she liked it; I'm not sure how much though... BTW, has anyone here played Legend of Mana? I loved the weapon making system and the way most of the adventure takes place. The battle system is pretty cool too. 3nodding

I have it, but i haven't played it in a while. Got tired and more interested in other games. They are fun, but other games caught my attention.

Gee, that's too bad. If I had a PS2 or 3, I'd play "LoM" more often but... Alas, I doubt I'm gonna get a PS3 anytime soon.

Oh I have some interesting news about the Mana series. I loved all of them, by the way, except heroes of mana simply because the units would just not listen to you at all. I tell them to walk a straight line but can they do that? No! They have to go around the longest route they can and then run in circles before getting to where I want them! Ok anyway on to the news.
Did you know that the title for the very first mana game was final fantasy adventure? Yup that's right, this entire game series evolved from an adventure game made from final fantasy and sword of mana is a remake of that game.

Close, but no! The game was titled Seiken Densetsu in Japan, while being renamed Final Fantasy Adventure over here, hoping to get more American Publicity for the game. Plus there's another Mana game for the SNES that many people don't know about called Seiken Densetsu 3 ((Secret of Mana being Seiken Densetsu 2 of course)). The game, in my opinion, was the pinnacle and perfection of the Mana series, and I highly reccomend anyone and everyone find it online, download the translated version, and play the heck out of it with an emulator. It's a lot of fun!
