I don't have a problem with mainstream music, but my philosophy on rap is this: you can't spell "crap" without r-a-p!

I haven't met a rap fangirl so no idea what they're like. I'm guessing they dress like whores. *shrugs* Personally I'm not a big fan of rap.

Oy, rap fangirls are the worst. My friend said he prefers rock because it's about life. These two girls said sex is life, because usually rap is about sex. But not sex with babies involved. Last time I checked, you couldn't get pregnant from oral. stare
Either that, or it's about violence and crap like that. There are very few rap songs I like.

I only like two songs by the Gorillaz, the two popular ones sweatdrop One of my best friends always makes me listen to it when I'm driving, and I learned some words ... it's catchy. But they actually SING some parts ... rather than just talk (poorly) with a drum.

Ah, clever anti-fangirls you are, to despise rap music. We're all kindred spirits. I can't tolerate rap in any form. Once I was in a phase where I listened to Just The Two of Us by Will Smith that had some rap in it, but I excuse that by noting that unlike 98% of rap artists today, Will Smith raps about things other than sex, drugs, money, and violence. Just The Two of Us in particular was a sweet song he sang/rapped about his son.
