Mose's Two Cents I feel like adding a few things to this Thread so that people don't have to go fishing for it elsewhere or wait for Kroo to be online. How long should signups last?Usually about a week, but you can always extended it if you like and there's not enough people. Should they be Stickies or Announcements?Usually anything involved with the Game is put up in Announcements. When can I start posting things?You can start posting things whenever you please! You're the GM now, you're in charge! Nobody can tell you no except in very rare extreme situations. Should I use GCDSG-Gamemaster or my own account for posting game information?This is your own personal choice. You can use the Gamemaster account at your leisure (unless the Kroo is in posession of the password) or you can run everything from your own account. What is the easiest way to tally inactivities?My personal way is that I do it on an Excel Spreadsheet of a Word Document. In the past, people have even used Google online spreadsheets so that they are accessible to people in real time and anybody can check days on which they did or did not vote. PLEASE do inactivities day to day, otherwise, you get backed up and you don't want to be doing tons of counting on one day when you could have done them all on different days. What if I'm going to be away from my computer for a day or so?You can always have an arbitrary 3rd person come in and write the update for you (someone not playing the game) or you can have someone withdraw from the game to post the update for you. Otherwise, if you wish to no do either of those, you can always opt to just not update, but in EVERY case, it is best to tell the players of the game in advance if possible. **I felt the need to make a GM sticky in this forum. If anyone has a problem with it, or suggestions let me know n_n

PLACEMENT PMS
For a GCDer:
Hiya! The Sniper Game is beginning! This PM is to tell you your position in the game and give you a little more background information.
Your role in the game is: GCDer!
Your main goal is to find out who the Sniper and Crazed Killer are! Watch other people's actions carefully, and look for clues that they may be hiding their identity.
At the same time, you need to be careful not to arouse suspicion on yourself, or you might find yourself getting voted off! Or, if you're looking to make things interesting, arouse suspicion on yourself! Find an enemy, and frame them! The game is as fun as you make it!
Watch the title of the thread for the progress throughout the round. There will be easy to follow instructions in the guild on what to do. When you vote, it is important you post your vote in the thread. Do NOT send me a PM with your vote; It will only get lost in my inbox. x.x
If you miss three rounds in a row, or five rounds total, you will be removed from the game. End of story. Sorry!
Also, if you feel you cannot vote for someone, but do not wish to be counted as missing, you may post a 'Pass.' in the thread. You may NOT pass more than three times throughout the whole game, so save those passes! If you exceed your pass limit, each additional pass will be counted as a day missed.

Congratulations, you're the person everyone's looking for. Every round when it tells you to in the first post, you must send me a PM telling me who you're going to snipe. BOOMZAH! They're dead. You need to be VERY careful how you conduct yourself in the thread, though. Everyone's looking for you! Try to be as normal as possible. You get to vote every round, as well. So try to eliminate anyone who may be a threat! Or, try to make yourself look good, and go with the crowd. These are all suggestions, so you must come up with your own strategy.

For the G-Team:

Your job is to protect someone each round. When it says to in the first post of the topic, you must PM me with the name of someone you would like to protect. If the Sniper happens to choose to shoot the person you protected, they will not die that round. No one needs to know who you protect, or that you are a G-Team member.
You have the option of choosing to protect yourself for the round, but beware! If the Sniper tries to shoot you or the Crazed Killer tries to kill you, your identity will be revealed!

Every round, you must PM me asking whom you wish to recieve a hint about. I will PM that person, and they will PM me back with a hint about their Gaian self. Your job is to take those hints and try to figure out who's who. You may tell everyone what you know, but beware! People may think you're lying. The Sniper/Killer might kill you. Lots of things could happen! Be careful!

By the way, roles are usually selected by RNG but there is no rule against the GM picking roles by hand. Be aware, though, that if you pick roles by hand you are likely to receive backlash from the players if they find out.

 It was an unwritten rule for all GMs to compile their games in a tidy thread in the Archives forum. They have all the tools needed, so why not?
From now on, this rule shall be written. When your game is done, you must compile your game before being demoted. You can start doing this whenever you like during your GMship, but it has to be done before you're demoted!

If those are the exact same placement PMs I wrote...
May I... Rewrite them a teensy bit to get rid of obsolete components? Unless you still do voting in journals. o.o

FOR ALL FUTURE GAME MASTERS:
Congratulations. If you are reading this, you are either Game Master, or a member of the Crew.
Either way, if you are a GM, I feel it's necessary to give you a few tips:
~Tell the players when you won't be able to update (if this situation happens). They'll get worried if you don't, and maybe they'll get bored of the game if you do it repeatedly without a warning.
~Write the killing parts as soon as you receive the Private Message from the killers. This is unless jail voting seems to go in the direction of sheeping the same person who a killer decided to get rid of; in that case, wait until you are sure no votes can tip the balance over. Of course, a G-Team might PM you later to protect the same victim, or the killer could change their mind, but I believe it's better to write parts of the update twice with time to spare than to write a rushed update which will be posted late.
~NEVER say "I'll update the list with inactivities tomorrow." Just...don't. It's easier to do it day-to-day than to update it all at once. Besides, it's faster.
In short...
don't be procrastinator, really. The people playing won't like it, and, if you're like me, it will be on your mind all day, making you feel guilty.
