So basically Dragonlance is what got me into dragons. I've read the trilogy many times over and many of the other side series as well. Just out of curiosity do you guys like Dragonlance? I also play Magic: The Gathering a lot which got me into fantasy. Basically those two right there made me fall in love with all kinds of dragons and elements. I'm curious as to why you guys wanted to join. Of course, dragons isn't the only element of this guild, it's also just a plain old roleplay guild. One book I read in health class in middle school once was called "Taming Inner Dragons" which was basically about dealing with the hardships that come with life. So when I think of dragons I think not only of the fantasy dragon but also the dragons that live in all of us, that make us who we are. I know that sounds really corny but it's true, we all have our inner dragons that make us stronger or make us hurt. I guess I was just thinking about the definition of "dragon" when looking at the guild's title. We master dragons in fantasy but we do in the real world too.

I became interested in dragons when I was a child, through a book that I can't remember the name of. I'd almost always imagine I was a dragon when me and my friends played make believe. Even in the best dream I've ever had I was a dragon. I've yet to wake up in as good a mood as that day.
That's very interesting, the part about inner dragons. Our inner dragons, would they be what brings us pain, or what help us overcome that pain?

I was first interested in dragons when I found the 'how to slay a' series. I am a vampire, and the 'how to slay a vampire' book was just so dorky in a funny sort of way, I had to read all three others, including the 'how to slay a dragon' book. But honestly, who in their right mind would want to slay an actual dragon- I mean it's not like they're a thriving threat or anything. After that, I found lots of dragon biology and anatomy books in the libraries. The accounts in these volumes contradicted eachother except in one area- there are common brown and common green dragons in every one. I personally have no firsthand experience with dragons/lizards at all- but I think they should be protected as an endangered species if there are some left. 3nodding

LOL. xd That reminds me of the "So You Want to be a Wizard" books. It's not like we could ACTUALLY become wizards. I found that series confusing but funny and totally and completely unrealistic.

What first got me interested in dragons was a book by Bruce Coville called Jeremy Thatcher, Dragon Hatcer. its a little bit of a weird book but it got me lovign the species. It also got me started on loving "fantasy" and now i live in it everyday, separated from all because they live in the reality that everyone else lives in, the one that shuns all the creatures that are natural. i kno, i think differently. mrgreen

NietonoNoShana144 What first got me interested in dragons was a book by Bruce Coville called Jeremy Thatcher, Dragon Hatcer. OMG! No offecnce, but I thought that book was soooo boring. I couldn't even finish it. I got started on dragons by the books: How to Train A Dragon Dragon Rider Eragon and Eldest The Fire Within They were all really good books, but I'm still not done dragon rider...

Dragons interest me because in asian mythology there are good and bad forces associated with them so it is kind of a Ying/Yang balance. I seek to balance my inner dragon.

I always was fascinated in dragons. I'd often dream of myself as a dragon, and in my dreams I learned manythings. Through their god-like abilities, and their connection to nature and it's elements, I found my peace and balance with nature and myself. But I think thats what all humans seek. Humans have lost their connection to nature over centuries of hiding from it behind their buildings, and machines. By thinking of dragons, which have a great connection to nature, and can survive in any element, people can refind that lost part of themself and be set free to go to a higher plane of thought. Dragons are super strong, can fly, swim, breath fire, live very long lives and have scales has hard as metal plates of steel as so on and so forth. The capabilities of dragons have sometimes gone so far above and beyond the boundaries of reality, that they could almost be considered god-like. Every part of a dragon, builds it up into a pure creature of grace, power, and majesty that can only exists on the higher planes of reality. My inner dragon has taken me to that higher place, and through it I gained lots of knowledge and wisdom, that made me a stronger person internally. That's why I love dragons, and that also how I came to be one. My name is Drago Lunar which means Dragon of the Moon, and that's what I am.
