Where did Lucifer come from?
Also know that all the things in here are from a similar thread I made that now resides in the Recycle Bin... ><;;
OK, here's my beef. Alot of Christians say that Christ is the Saviour, and Satan is evil... They say one of Satan's names is Lucifer.
Then, they say Satanists worship Satan, but this isn't true at all. (I'm not a Satanist, personally, but I've studied a lot of things in my 17 years on this planet.) Satanists worship the human traits that the Christian Satan represents, but they don't worship him, as he's a purely Christian construct. They do, however, worship Lucifer. But, to the Christians, Lucifer is the Devil.
But, you see, Lucifer is the Roman Morning Star, which appears in the sky right before the Sun rises. Lucifer's name means Light Bearer/Bringer. Lucifer is a Pagan God, not the Christain Devil.
If you read the link I said to read before hand, you'll have seen that is said the following:
Revelation 22:16
"I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star."
As such, my argument is as follows:
If Lucifer is the Morning Star, but he's also the Devil; and if Jesus refers to himself as the Morning Star, wouldn't people realize that, and wonder if Jesus wasn't really the Devil come to Earth to screw with us?
If that were the case, then technically, all Christian's are, would be Satanist's who don't realize they are Satanist's.
And for all we know, that could be true. Not saying it is, but it would be a possibility.
And also, Lucifer wasn't the original name in the untranslated version of the Old Testament. Lucifer isn't a Hebrew name, and the Old Testament was written in Hebrew. Lucifer was a mistranslation, and it evolved into him becoming Satan over time...
Anyways, thats all I wanted to say. Feel free to discuss it, and anything related to it.

You know, Yahweh is real, but he's not the only God, and Jesus isn't my saviour. Your God is one of many who govern the universe, and I hate people who have to believe that we all had to have been made by one person. Its stupid. Are all books written by the same person? No. Are all paintings done by the same person? No. Are house's all built by the same person? No. My parent's created me, and their's created them, and our ancestors were created by the Gods worshipped in that region/the patron of my ancestors.
Not to be offensive, or anything. Its just, it makes more sense, since people are all different, built and programmed differently from one another, then they were made by different Dieties. I go for Logic in my Religion. Not divine myth.
You know that you just justifyed several stupid wars?
How on Earth did I do that? I just said we weren't all created by one God... Everyone should be allowed to worship and believe as they wish, because its not what you have faith in, its just that you have faith in something.
If you say there are several gods this also means that religious wars may have had a real reason.
But War is never the answer. There is more then one God or Goddess on this world, and all throughout the Universe. But fighting over which one rules all is stupid, because none of them are The One True God. None of them actually took it upon themself to create our world, because they all worked together on it. Sure, some may not agree with each other, anymore, but they still worked together to create our planet, and then plants and animals and people on it.
Even if they had a real reason behind their wars, the wars were still very stupid, and should never have been fought.
But IF they all worked together once (i don't really believe this, just being hypothetical) why do they al claim to be the only one now?
It's only the ones like Jehova, Yahweh, or Moses who are claimed to be the only one. And that, dear, is because they are the most human of all. They let their emotions and ambitions take over, and they want to cast the others aside, and have nothing to do with them anymore. They are trying to claim the right of Creator, because they are jealous, and don't want to share.

Ok, another try:
Al religions claim that they are the only way to heaven or whatever (except the buddhists, but i don't count them as actual religion since gods just don't matter for them)
Now if we believe there are many gods out there and every religion represents the trys of one or a group of them to bring order to the chaos, why does every religion claim to be the only truth? Why don't they tell their followers that there are other religios that are also right? And why did some religions just vanish from the face of the earth? The old nordic gods for example. We know that this religion existed but as far as i know nobody worships them anymore.
And there are at least two gods who claim to be the only god: Yahweh and Allah (or however he is spelled, i don't know...)

Paganism and Wicca claim that their religions are not for everyone, and you have to come to it on your own. If you don't truly believe it, its not for you. They also say their religions are totally about being who you are, living how you want, and so on. There are many pantheons, and there are many Gods and Goddesses to have as Patrons and Matrons.
It is in this belief that I came to my conclusion that every "Diety" is real, and that they all must have worked together. But Gods have flaws too, and so some of them claimed "I created the Universe!" when it wasn't true.
Muslims and Christians believe anyone who doesn't believe the same as them, Religion-wise is evil. This is because its bred into them, somehow.
However, for Christians, this is a bit of Hypocracy. Jesus was sent into the world to save the sinners. That means, even if they mean well, it isn't their job to do it for him. No where in the Bible, New or Old Testament, does it say to cram your religion down everyone else's throats at all costs. Jesus, I think, meant to convey a message similar to this:
"Have faith, and that faith will be your repentance."
The pen-holders might have screwed a few facts around while writing, maybe adding in parts about him being the only one. But the real message I got when I read the Bible was this:
"Love yourself, love your family, love your friends, and love your spouse. Treat people how you want them to treat you, at all times, and remember that humanity, as a whole, is always changing, and different. Be tolerant of your neighbors, and your brothers and sisters, and live in harmony with the land."
Not in so many words, of course. But that was the message in my heart afterwards.
And it was with that message that I realized Paganism was right for me. So you see, it was Christianity itself that led me to Paganism. XD
As for those who claim their path is the only way, thats years of the followers having it drilled into their heads by their respective leaders; i.e. The Pope, Dahlli Llama, ect.
To be honest, the only two Religion's that can exsist soley on belief's, with no real true Dieties, are Buhdism and Thelema. (Thelemites believe Alister Crowley is the Prophet, but I've never heard of them having a set Diety structure. Usually they will either have none at all, or choose random ones from everywhere. The only thing that bounds them all in the same 'Religion' is their belief that Alister Crowley is a prophet. The Prophet.)
