Dining Hall

The dining hall is an impressive affair, always set and prepared for the grandiose meals prepared by the professional chefs, who stay on duty from early in the morning to the latest hours of the night, always cooking for the frequent parties hosted at the castle. It has a long mahogany table, beautifully polished oak chairs, and literal silverware. All is made with nothing but the most expensive materials money can buy, and some that even money cannot. Impressive chandeliers hang from the ceiling, lighting the entire hall, while candles bedeck the immense table. This place can easily seat 75 people.

The light reflected all over the place from all the silverware, crystal and gold objects placed at the long table. "I can't imagine anyone getting claustrophobic here," Star said wryly.

Mikhail walks into the dining room, leading Star in behind him, holding the door for her as a proper gentleman should. So... What would you like served? The chefs are well prepared for whatever we desire. And yes, it certainly is a spacious dining hall.

Star smiled at him in thanks and walked in. Star sighed. "What to eat...what to eat..," she repeated. Star looked outside the windows to find that the moon had already peeked out. "Night already? And I'm not even hungry. But...I am craving for some coleslaw and cold shrimp. As for the drink...I think I'd like some white wine."

He smiles back at her, then nods at her order, glancing toward the kitchen, where the doors swung back and forth, a quick servant already carrying her orders to the cooks in the back, so that they might begin to prepare her meal. I am comfortable as is, and only desire to feed on the wonder and beauty of your presence.

Star was amazed at how swift and silent the server was. Star chuckled and rolled her eyes at his comment. "If you truly want to make me happy, then eat something. Or drink something at least. You'll make me uncomfortable. And you don't want that, do you? Because it's all about me." Star laughed.

Fine, then I shall eat, to put you at ease. I will have a slice of bread with meat. Plain and medium-rare. A glass of blood wine, type O, will suffice. Once more, a shadow flits from the room, leaving barely a disturbance, except a slight swirl of air as the servant vanishes into the kitchen once again.

Star smiled, amused. "I'm beginning to think that the servants here aren't human." She looked back at him before taking a seat at the end of the massive table. "And I'm wondering whether or not we should time them to see how long it takes them to serve us. I wouldn't be surprised if it's under five minutes."

I do not know what they are, nor do I ask. Tabitha employs any who have merit and who she believes deserve the job. She does not discriminate, so it is altogether quite possible that they are not. As he begins to respond to her last statement, a whisper of sound causes him to turn, and the servants begin to serve their food. Well, I guess that answers that...

Her eyes twinkled fondly as she thought of Tabitha. "Yes, it makes me feel so lucky to know a friend such as her. It's like she never thinks of herself. I worry about her..." She turned her gaze back to him as she remembered who she was with and smiled tenderly. "...And even more luckier to have met someone such as you."

I worry too, my love, but I have confidence in her. He smiles wryly. And I also have confidence in my being able to convince her to take a break when she truly needs one. Mikhail blushes deeply as she compliments him once again, hiding his embarassment by lifting some of the food from her plate with his fork, guiding it to her lips, so as to feed her. And I love you...

Star grinned and obediently opened her mouth to let him feed her. She finished what was in her mouth before she began to talk again. "Trying to see what makes me shut up?" Star laughed. "You don't have to take care of me so completely. But this food is simply delectable!" She took her glass of wine and swivled the wine in the glass. Gingerly lifting it to her nose, she sniffed it a little and smiled, before raising the glass to her lips and taking a small sip. "Mmm, excellent wine as well. The year that this was made...the grapes must have been good that year. Either that or they were carefully picked."

I must taste my food as well, if it's as good as you say. And perhaps the wine is much like all else here... magical. He pauses for a moment, thinking back on what she had said. And besides... if I was trying to see what would make you shut up... I have other methods. He smirks and stands, then dives on her, knocking her off her chair and onto the floor, pinning her against the floor as he kisses her hard.

Star's eyes grew big as he knocked her over. She shut her eyes tightly as she hit the floor. When he decided it was good enough and let go of her, she seemed a bit irritated for a moment before laughing. "That's not going to work. First of all, I'd like to say 'Oww.' Second of all, you thought that that would normally shut me up, but you made a big mistake by choosing to do it in the dining hall. Thirdly...what did you do that for?" Star got up and brushed herself off, smirking at him.

He laughs at her comments and smiles. Well, first of all, you didn't speak while I kissed you anyway. You waited until afterward. And therefore, it was successful. And to answer your last, I did it because I felt like kissing you. Is that a mortal sin, punishable by death? Or not yet?
