Hey guys! I have heard that Tool is breaking up and the members are gonna go their separate ways! This sux if true! I need info now!
Tool cannot break up! They are so ******** genius! The only reason I half believed this is because it was written in a mag, and I am not the only person who heard this rumor. I need your input! cry cry cry

i havnt heard anything about that, and they are still going to do another tour so i doubt they will break up anytime soon.

I highly doubt it. I bet their just playing with the minds of it's readers. Maynard did the same with MTV. They thought he'd leave (just like the guitarist of Korn did) for religion but did he, no. He just played simple mind games on them.

I heard in some magazine interview that they asked them how long they would do this and if they could see themselves doing it for a long time..they answered by saying that they are going to try to go on as much as they can..but they highly doubt that they can do it forever...idk if this is true or not..i just read it in some magazine interview on the net...

Even if the band did announce they were splitting up, I still wouldn't believe them. They're such pranksters.

I honestly doubt it, because usually I'd think bands'd break up because the lead singer got all cocky and started sucking up all the glory and was always upstaging the rest of the band and acting like a one-man show, while in Tool, Maynard stands behind the band in the concerts and stuff, and doesn't put his lyrics in the albums, suggesting that we just step back and listen to the music behind the vocals. At least that's the impression I got.

It's extremely doubtful. There's going to be another huge gap between album releases, but probably aren't going to break up.
The only reason I can see them breaking up is Maynard getting caught up in his side-project Puscifer or his wine-making.

if they were to split, then it would be after their upcoming cd, its gunna be their last one, but if they did, then that would seriously suk
