Anyone who's ever seen Spaceballs may or not have caught this, but I certainly did.
In the scene where the Spaceballs dig out a copy of "Spaceballs: The Movie", the corporal goes to Mr. Rental. He starts looking through all the movie titles and did anyone happen to notice those titles?
"The Silver Chair"
"History of the World Part 1"
"High Anxiety"
"Young Frankenstein"
to name a few...

That's right, all the movies in Mr. Rental were all Mel movies! If you blink, you miss the scene!

Yeah, I noticed that.

In the future, Mel Brooks owns a monopoly on the Mr. Rentals. xd

Haha! I'm sure he will. We'll have to keep his head alive in a jar so he can do just that.

::laughs:: Actually, I noticed it the last time that I saw it. I s**t myself laughing (not literally, but I had the urge to). It was great!

Yeah, Mr. Rental had to be the greatest character ever! I noticed the scene the first time; it caused me to giggle.

Yes. Mr. Rental is awesome... but... it was a machine. In your word, though, Merrin, inaminate objects ARE characters.

"What's with all that bubbling and churning, you call that a radar screen?"
"No sire we call it Mr Coffee. would you care for some?"
"...yes! I always have coffee when I'm watching radar, you know that."
"Of course I do sir"
"Everybody knows that!"
"OF COURSE WE DO SIR!"

I laughed so hard at that it hurt me.

Yeah, I had a laugh at that as well. My God, I laughed at very minute of the movie. I first watched the movie was when I was twelve, and yeah, I could not contain myself. I did not get half of the jokes, but I mainly laughed at the delivery.

Yeah, that movie is famous for the most hilarious way of delivering the lines. The jokes are generally stupid, but it is how they say them that makes me laugh so hard.

Mel is just a genius that way. Who else would be able to make such jokes, deliver them perfectly and get away with it?

True, and no one else can be that funny.... other than Mighty Python. I love him with all of my heart. I loved Mighty Python and the Holy Grail and The Meaning of Life.
