What do you mean? How long all the events that we saw in FFVII occured within? Or do you mean like a timeline of everything that happened within the FFVII Universe starting from Jenovas landing?
Need to know exactly which things youre looking to include in this timespan. From what event to what event.

No no. Sorry I must not have been very clear. I mean what date in time would you say these events would have been. Lets assume that magic and the likes exisit but what date would you put to the years of Final Fantasy 7. Base this on things such as vehicles, weapons, housing. Etc. Thanks.

The technical timeline according to one of the largest FFVII dedicated sites, the story would be set at the equivalence of December 1996 to October 1997 from start to finish of the original game.

So FFVII kind of takes place in an alternative universe? I always felt the game took place on another planet completely with a different dating system. Although Earth and the Planet seem VERY familar.

Tetsuya Nomura at one time said they had mapped out over a thousand year long timeline for all the FFVII story (this includes the date that JENOVA landed on earth though) so if you include backstory of characters, and *spoiler* the ending cinematic with REDXIII 500 years in the future its far over a thousand years.

well the entire timeline (from the ending is 500 years) after you beat sephiroth in 7 (yay for all those who beat him....sorry off topic.) Advent Children was 2 years of those 500 (not sure it it said 300 or 500 years later in 7's ending I forget.) Durge of Cerberus is supposedly 1 year after the ending (expalining how he had cerberus in AC) then of course we take into count FF7: Before Crisis (the mobile phone game) which is supposedly before Zack and Cloud came into play, and it just explains how the Turks came to be and...some other crap. the 2nd DoC also for the phone is directly after the first one, except with Multiplayer. Crisis Core is practically before 7 because you're Zack and you get to meet cloud and Sephiroth (without his infamous long Bangs.)
blah I'm talking too much I'm probably wrong with some of this stuff.... neutral
