((This is a PRIVATE RP between Moving Pictures and Myself. Please do NOT post unless asked. )) ---------------------------------------------------- Hiro lay in the soft candy grass in the shade of a lollypop tree, dozing as the afternoon slowly waned over the landscape. He had been in and out of the house the entire day, helping around, preparing the new rooms that had mysertiously popped up inside the house they were all residing in. He didn't know why or how things simply appeared in the house, but it only seemed to do so when whatever appeared was needed. Hiro had a sneaking suspicion that those new rooms were not going to be for storage, but for more numas; numas that might look like the brown and blue tentacled male. Numas that for some irrational reason, might know if there were any more out there like him. He sighed softly, eyes closed to the outside world, it was a foolish dream of his, one that would likely never occur.

Yojimbo & Biom lazily strolled through NNL. They passed lollipop trees and the grape soda river. With each step, Yojimbo became even more distant with reality. By the time they reached a field of candy grass, both of them were lost in thought. This added a complication to Yojimbo's problem of clumsiness. Fortunately, as he was about to step on a squishy blue tentacle, Biom gave out a loud squeak. Yojimbo glanced down for a moment, then lost his balance and tumbled backwards.

Hiro had been almost alseep, merely moments from true unconscienousness, when the sudden noise drove it from his mind. He opened a single blue eye, wondering what was the matter. He wasn't very angry at being disturbed, countless times of Gabriel or others in the family doing the very same thing to him had broken him of any indignation long ago, he was merely curious as the whoever was there.
"Is anything wrong?" He mumbled softly, raising his head a bit to get a better look at the one who had disturbed his rest. He waited paitiently for a response, quite relaxed in the shade and comfort of a pleasant afternoon. His tentacles shifted and twitched a bit as they adjusted their positions into something more comfortable.

Yojimbo got up and brushed himself off. This wasn't the first time he had tripped on himself. He was used to the sudden loss of balance. It never ceased to amaze Biom at his friend's clumsiness. Yojimbo took a deep breathe and calmed his mind. He turned to face a pair of blue eyes.
Yojimbo: "Oh, no I'm fine. I'm just a little off when it comes to balance. Are you alright?"

"I am fine," Hiro replied simply, nodding once to reassure him. He altered his position slightly, to make all of his parts more comfortable. His blue eyes caught on the tiger-like numa's friend and he nodded at that creature as well. Hiro had dealt with other pets like him to know well enough that they had intelligence, though his own-Khilas-was a bit too...naive.
He wondered what this new numa would do, leave him alone? Ask about his little tentacles? Try to strike up a conversation? Now that Hiro was fully awake (or at least more so then he had been before), he would appreciate something to do, or else he would just go back to sleep.

Yojimbo looked at Hiro for a moment, he had never seen a numa with a horn and tentacles. He was very intrigued by his appearance. He wasn't used to talking with male Numas so he smiled for a moment without purpose Biom scuttled around, as if he was searching for something. Yojimbo then grabbed him and placed him in front of him.
Yojimbo: "So do you control your tentacles or do they have a will of their own?

Hiro blinked at him, surprised by the abrupt question about his tentacles. He had expected something else, perhaps a hello or a name. To get right to the point and a rather distinct question as well, it was certainly going to be an interesting conversation.
"A bit of both," He replied finally, nodding slightly, "And how do you do?" The last bit came out as an impulsive thing, he hadn't meant to be very rude, but what could he say? It wasn't as if either or them was being terribly polite to each other.

Yojimbo: "Oh, that's very neat. I can't say that I possess any special talent like that. Oh, I'm fine. Thanks for asking!" =^^=
Biom abruptly smacked Yojimbo with his tail and muttered something to him. Yojimbo then squinted his nose and pushed Biom away. He paused for a moment and scratched his head.
"Ah, I forgot again!"
He made and odd notion with his hands and sighed. He was too scattered brain for his own good. He blushed a bit and then spoke.
"I'm sorry to say that I have a bad habit of forgetting introductions. So, let's start over. My name is Yojimbo and yours?"

Hiro gave him a pleasant look, deciding to deal with this situation as kindly as he possibly could. "Most people-or the few that I've met-don't have tentacles either," He replied blithly, nodding once.
His gaze dropped to the tiger-like numa's companion, acquiring his interest especially after the good smack the little guy gave to his friend. He looked back up and tilted his head slightly, both amused and faintly confused over this whole situation.
"I am Hiro," He replied simply, nodding again but this time with a slightly bigger smile, no sense in pushing the other numa away with bing unkind. His brown tail flopped once against the soft grass, more to alter and make a more comfortable position for the young tentacled-numa.

Yojimbo smiled back at the other Numa's glance. He felt sore for being so blunt. It was a social habit he had always possessed, but difficult for him to shake off. Biom noticed Hiro's glance as well and became very shy. He was small creature that rarely was seen an inch from Yojimbo's side. They barely were separated except for a few short moments here and there. Yojimbo then sat more comfortably in the candy grass. He slouched a bit in hopes of seeming a bit more personable to Hiro. Biom fluttered up behind his left ear and shyly squeaked once to alert his companion of his presence.
Yojimbo: "That's a very interesting name. If, you don't mind, does it have a special meaning?"

Hiro shook his head, shrugging a bit, "Not that I know of," He answered softly, looking out over the area perusably; not being rude or pretending to dislike him, he just was not a social creature by nature and honestly did not speak very often.
It was not a problem as long as he had Khilas, who could speak for him, but without the little green fluffball, it was much more difficult to socialize. Hiro simply was both too shy and too passive to start a conversation or continue one. He liked the walls he had erected long ago, walls only breached by his family.
"Does yours?" He asked finally, looking at him, blue eyes curious. Just because he had walls, did not mean he couldn't be curious enough to ask himself.

Yojimbo watched the Hiro as he looked in the opposite direction. He wasn't affected by the other Numa's actions as Yojimbo often stared off into space while Biom spoke or others detailed frivolous thoughts. He then heard Hiro question and thought for a moment. He hadn't really thought about it before, however, had once heard a story about an ancient warrior with the same name. He thought was most likely the origin of his rather unique name.
Yojimbo: "It was the name of an ancient warrior, I believe. However, I can't be positive as I've never really asked."
The thought of being a brave ancient warrior brought a slight smile to his face as he possessed only odd and awkward traits. Definitely not those of a warrior. Biom looked at him questionably.

Hiro glanced back at the tiger-like numa, mildly curious, "I see," He answered finally, giving him a bit of a smile, "Warriors are certainly an interesting cateogory to name someone after," He mused softly, playing with his tentacles in front of his face.
What were they going to do now? Hiro was beginning to feel tired once again, most likely from lack of anything to stimulate him into anything other then soft chit-chat. Had Gabe been around he would have made things much easier, and more entertaining. The light blue numa was always trying to make things fun. With the lack of his best friend, Hiro didn't know what to do.

Yojimbo's awkward nature was going to be his undoing if he did not find a way to captivate the male before him. He needed a "quick fix". So, Yojimbo in a loud, uncalled for, voice proclaimed: "How about we head towards the Grape Soda River? I hear you can play hide and seek with all the trees about." He was an awkward fellow, much to his displeasure, but he could at least show Hiro some hospitality after having a somewhat less than admirable introduction to the intriguing young Numa.
