READ TEH WALL OF TEXT, IT WILL SAVE YOUR LIFE AND THE LIFE OF OTHERS.i know that this is sort of a repeat thread, but as a selfdefense martial artist and a christian i take this very seriously.
AND THIS INFO IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT
it's about VT
first off, i don't care what your shcool or workplace tells you, but if you are in a situation where a gunman is in the room and you can escape thorugh a window or door, or anything, GET OUT. there were two men right behind that guy who jumped out the window. THEY BOTH GOT SHOT
GET OUT IF YOU CAN
if you are cornered, BEAT THE BLOODY s**t OUT OF THE GUNMAN!!!! throw books, hit him with a chair, STAB HIM WITH A PENCIL. and get others to join you. more people, more power!!!!
but remember, if you can get out, do it. THE WILL TO LIVE IS GREATER THAN THE FEAR OF DEATH!!!!!
i know schools and workplaces do not tell you what to do, so i will. you guys are my family and i love you like so, and i don't want any of you to get hurt.
i want you all to remember that!!!
and don't freeze up, DO SOMTHING. ANYTHING. protect yourself, protect someone else, fight back, run, DO SOMTHING!!!!!!

hell yes I would kick his a** they got close enough. No one points a f**king gun at me and gets away with it. As soon as he turns around I'll grab him by the neck and rip his f**king ear off.

Well said Kikkaku, If anyone reading this happens to be caught in this kind of situation, (God please forbid it) you better make good use of your evasion skills. Because if you freeze up, it'll be game over. No replays, no phoenix downs.

i agree, with the fighting back, if you can, if not GET YOUR a** OUT OF THERE. for me, i don't think that would be an option especially not with people i care about around i would stand and fight if all it did was give others time to run. well i say this, this is what I would like to do, but you can never know how the stress of the situation would affect you. but with that said, i would at least try to stand. and give them hell. throwing a desk or what ever i could get my hands on until i was close enough to go hand to hand.
And what Woglinde said don't expect to dodge a bullet but you can expect that they arn't crack shots, and that they are also under a lot of stress. but also know they have the intention to kill. so if you do approach them remember dont go for a direct path, keep them occupied by throwing things at them that way its harder for them to get a good shot, AND stay low, make your self less of a target to hit, and you they will focus on you if your fighting back, because you will become their greatest threat

Very nice thread, yes I agree with Kikkaku, we must act.. if we freeze and do nothing what will come of us? if you act or try to at least do something then you have a chance, I wouldn't suggest throwing your self at the attacker.. but think out a smart plan, then act.

mark wolf it's why most of the time i carry a knife... ((me too, mines a pocket knife on a chain so it can double as a fundo if i can't draw the leather punch fast enough))

((me too, mines a pocket knife on a chain so it can double as a fundo if i can't draw the leather punch fast enough)) mines got a nylon sheath and the knife itself has a guthook...its not as practical as most because you gotta get it outa the sheath and then open it up
