The most well known and one of the first original DEATH Metal bands to hit the scene. Greatly influenced by SLAYER's Reign in Blood, Chris Barnes and Alex Webster started the band back in 1988. Their first album Eaten Back to Life remains their greatest masterpiece to date. But sadly in 1995 Chris Barnes was asked to leave the band because of all the excessive time he spent working on his new side project, Six Feet Under. So in Early 1996 the band brought in George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher to replace Barnes on vocals. and released their first album without the lyrical power of Barnes titled VILE (which was just recently re-released in March with a bonus DVD containing their rarest content). But personally I believe that the band kind of spiraled down ever since Barnes left. Only albums that I like by the new Cannibal Corpse is Gallery of Suicide and The Wretched Spawn. Their newest album, KILL blew chunks out the assloads. Only real good song is "Submerged in Boiling Flesh".
Anyway post about them, and....
