Introduction The infection has spread. 98% of the population is possessed by the Alters. Please do not be alarmed. While our new arrivals appear malcontent, rumors of their violence have been grossly over dramaticized. There have been no stabbings, suicides, or pregnancies. These rates are increasing gradually despite those in our community that would use fear tactics to convince you otherwise. That is all for today's news bulletin. Please tune in tomorrow for future updates and helpful tips for coexisting with our Alters!
Setting This is Space Station 2. The clinic was bombed by malcontent hosts angry that the violence inflicted by the parasites was being denied. Please post a short backstory on what brings you to the least popular of stations. A bit of peace and quiet, finding some family, or avoiding the radar from past actions.

Yes, the plot. So much fun. So...brainstorming help?
Oh, and you could create mules for other characters. Like...HiRyuu? Lord, that would be one scary plot.
Though in Bio we're learning about parasitic relationships, which highly resembles Chiyla & HiRyuu. Beings that invade their hosts keeping them alive as long as they need them.
Ideas? Preferences? Anything?

I like the idea of a long separation between all of them, since we haven't really roleplayed together in a while. I have no idea what would keep them apart, but you know?
Um, one vote for Sci Fi/Future. I'll try to think up an idea here. Posting in Raze, ya might want to look at that when you get a chance.

Sci Fi/Future
All right. Here's an idea that utilizes the parasites. The year's 3033, and the group separated. Elwen and Celesi lost contact after the infection broke out. Dillan and Cels met at a clinic, fell in love, until their inner demons tore them apart, afraid of the confidence they were gaining.
In 2075, Earth had been so thrashed by global warming, pollution, and waste that it became almost inhabitable. All those who could afford to left the planet for the new space stations and for chemically altering the climates on the other nine planets(Pluto is still a planet, damn it! And whatever they named planet X is not a meteroid, either!) to become habitable. After 50 years, in 3025, they have solidified the surface of Jupiter, and tamed half of Mars. Venus and Saturn are survivable, but not highly recommended as they aren't expected to be completed until 3050. With a signed waiver, people can be sent there. It's rumored that convicts are sentenced to Mercury, which is Like Arizona in July all year round. (Yes, gravity isn't exactly fixable, just think of the firmament and imagine NASA figured out how to make it.)
Well, just as everyone was celebrating the two new planets in 3025, a space virus infected three of the five space stations. With travel and commerce, the virus quickly infected the two clean ones.
The space virus appeared to be innocent until the ones in power appeared. The virus caused affected individuals to be afflicted with horrid headaches, voices in the head, and orders extremely difficult to disobey. Well, the voices in their heads belonged to people. More specifically, the descendants of the original space station who were left for dead in 2025, when NASA scrapped bringing them home as too expensive.
The virus builders are slowly overtaking society and government as people in power become afflicted.

Virus
Name: Schizo-MultiPersona Disorder Early Symptoms: Migraines, light headedness, fainting, morning sickness. At this time, any reports of pregnancy due to one's parasites have not been confirmed. But please, try to gain peaceful coexistence with your parasitic alter ego, or Alter. Identity: Please do not worry. While the Alters do not appear peaceful, there are no reports on them following through with death threats. They require us as their hosts to get them out of their shuttles. Perhaps once they have all been freed, they will help cure our epidemic. Treatment: Counselling clinics are at stations 1, 3, 4, & 5. After the riot last year, Clinic 2 had to close for rebuilding. There are anti depressants for the idle threats, painkillers for the headaches, and staff ready to help you in case of any emergencies. Remember that we have to stick together in this.
Warning: Please do not discuss any plans to overthrow the Alters. This has caused pain in the past. We do not wish to bring unnecessary pain to any citizens of the United Nations.

To spice things up, HiRyuu, Chiyla & Elwen's personal demon can be freed from their shuttle, to let that insanity rage. If we so choose.
So? Comments? Responses?

Celesi walked onto the remains of the clinic. She knelt in the rubble, sifting the remains of paperwork through her fingers. I met him here, she thought to herself. He was here, and we actually made progress. I could actually keep her out of my mind when I had him next to me. She could feel her Alter's aggression building, so quieted her thoughts. She filled her mind with images of a male face, trying to mask the imagery of slaughtered dragons and burning fire.
But the telepathic powers of the Alters has always been stronger than that of the station dwellers. One visceral arterial spray of a dragon hen beginning to bleed out reminded her of the initial infection. When she'd still had her sister. They'd been together, running, screaming. Praying whatever was preying on their neighbors' minds would avoid them. Eyeballs exploding, blood dribbling from ears, the moaning, always the moaning haunting their dreams. They clutched at each other, rocking back and forth, waiting for the madness to end.
With the mentality of her position being shoved upon her, Celesi curled her arms around her knees, and rocked back and forth. Tears escaped her eyes, and words fell from her lips, unheard to the ashes. "Stop," she whispered. "Please, just stop." The images continued to pour as her Alter explored all the newfound ammunition.

Why he'd decided to come back here, he had no idea. It's not like there was anything for him. He massaged his left temple as he felt another migrane setting in and cursed. "a*****e..." He murmured, only to feel a sharp shooting pain in his head, causing his vision to temporarily go blank and him to stumble. Steadying himself on a chunk of what used to be the wall, he blinked to clear his fuzzed vision.
Seeing this place again...it reminded him of her. He couldn't quite remember why they'd split, when things had been going so well...for once, the Alter that tormented him day and night wasn't so...aggressive. Practically every day since they'd parted ways, though, it seemed he had to spent the first half hour of his day bowing to the porcelain god, all the while listening to sadistic laughter raging in his head.
He wanted so bad to find the source of the parasitic dickweed. Just so he could tear it limb from limb. He was sick of the media bullshit, sick of hearing how the violence was 'over dramamticized.' If puking up blood once a week and finding strange lacerations on your body was over dramaticizing, he didn't know left from right.
He walked around the rubble, each fond memory being countered with an equally nasty response from his Alter, until he wanted to scream.
That was when he heard something. Or maybe it was more like sensed something? There was someone else near him. Scanning the area, his eyes locked on someone who was...crouched. There was something familiar, here. He smelt her perfume...and his heart just melted. Butterflies gathering in his stomach, he walked op behind her. "...I know you..."

Elwen shivered wishing she could run like she had all the times before. But this time she couldn't because *it* ws with her. She closed her eyes, hatred filling her. But hatred was bad. It only caused more pain and she leaned against the wall as a pain split through her head. "Damn." she whispered. "What do you want for me? Why is it you do this?"
((Sorry I got like...5 hours of sleep last night. Tired just waiting on Mike to call. So can't totally think esp as I'm not in the flow of the RP yet))

Chiyla peered through her host's vision. "Damn." she said aloud. "You found him."
She fired off a telepathic blast to HiRyuu, to make sure he was up and watching. Do you think you can keep him online this time, at least long enough for us to get out of here and kill them?
Closing her eyes, Chiyla concentrated. She sent icy chills through Celesi's blood, which was sure to call the girl some problems. We're not going to let things work out as well as they did before. So don't get cocky and think you're going to get better now. She waited a minute for the ice to kick in before overpowering the girl's mind. Answer me! she shrieked.
She watched Celesi's vision blur as the girl stumbled. Frustratingly, she didn't fall, and she couldn't tell why. She bet it was that annoying brat. I repeat, HiRyuu, CAN you keep him in line?
Standing, Chiyla paced the eight foot length of her shuttle, back and forth. She was panting, but she couldn't help herself. She had thirteen years left to get that brat out here. She didn't intend on waiting any longer. You WILL come, and you WILL free us, or you will watch his Alter kill him before your eyes. The girl was keeping her damn mind silent again. And then she felt a poke against the inside of her eyeball.
Chiyla ground her teeth. "Yes, yes, that's clever now." she said aloud. "Only remember you're like a two year old playing in mommy's clothes." She screamed into her own head this time, GET THE ******** BACK IN YOUR OWN BODY! She felt the girl's pain echo with her own, and slowly felt her presence melt back beneath the layer of ice she'd learned to create to protect herself.
(Okay. Decisions made. The 'virus' is just a telepathic link that the Alters created. The Alters attempt to create enormous fear that they cannot be touched, while the link does go two ways. However, the Alters have been trained at least ten years and telekinetics and telepathic strategies. So whatever the hosts can come up with is usually quickly negated. Also, if you so choose, you can have a sadist/masochist like Chiyla. Meaning pain given her causes her pleasure.
Um. The layer of ice. I have Celesi have this in practically every telepathic idea. It's hard to explain, but she ices over her consciousness, and thinks very quietly, so to speak. Meaning she can't get too excited, frightened or angry, or the ice will break and whoever is in her mind can read what she's thinking.
Since she hasn't been trained in that in this RP, I'm guessing Chiyla taught her this for some reason. I have yet to figure out why this girl would be that nice.
Also, feel free to post return actions against the Alters during your Host's turns, even if the Alter posts have already cleared all your characters from that scene.)

HiRyuu cursed. Boy, don't get f**king cocky just because you've found the woman. With merely a thought he sent fiery pains through Dillan's body and smirked. "Poor, poor Laelithar...." he said aloud.
Suddenly he straightened, feeling a presence he hadn't felt in...a long while. Together with a headache. He smirked. I'm as confident in my abilities as you are, twisted one.
As Celesi stumbled and Dillan reacted, trying to help her, HiRyuu snarled and applied a "slight" pressure to Dillan's mind. Though slight was probably the wrong word as he heard the man whimper and clutch his head. Good dog. As Dillan made an attempt to return the gesture, HiRyuu just chuckled aloud, and then, much to his anger, began coughing. "Damn it..." He had lost count by now how many years he had left. All he knew was it was more than ten, but less than 15. He could just feel it.
He was never fond of tight, closed-in spaces. For the hell of it, to get his mind off of his minor claustrophobia and to just be an a**, he mentally jabbed Chiyla. At least some real fun had re-entered his life.
