Don't be hatin'.

Yeah, it seems most of them are very anti-Christian. It hurts my feelings what they say about us.

The people on the Extended Discussion boards are not anti-christian; rather, they are anti-hypocrite. Most of them are only exposed to hate brought about by hypocrisy in the Christian religion. They do not hate the religion; rather, they are disgusted by the followers. Saying you are persecuted when they do to you what many Christians do to them is really just stupid.

I saw that there was this 'Jesus is not your saviour' thread. I went in there and had a heated argument with the thread owner.
He and I agreed on the same thing, but neither of us wanted to admit it. lolz.
In the end, we decided we won't know anything for sure until after we were dead. xd

Um, no. You don't decide to hate a religion over some verses in it.

and you can imagine the people that do, you see, this Martyr-syndrome that I see many people having toward the christian religion, is that in no world, could anybody do anything wrong to us, for it is justified by saying they are against hypocrites. There are those people, but anytime I face those that hate me for my beliefs, they never have anything based on ME. It's always what the bible says and so on. SO yes, some do hate for a few biblical verses, and some just the hypocrites. But how can you tell when you've never met them, you've never seen them before, what's going in their heads? this goes back to other forum post you commented on about the teacher.

How are the titles, "Christianity is a sin", "this is why i don't think i was created by "god", "When is enough enough. Boycott abrahamic faiths", not anti-Christian and not just anti-hypocritical? Plus, I never I was persecuted, I just said that they hurt my feelings.

oh yes or rather a combination like you see it, you don't agree with it, yet other people agree with it and follow it and tell you that it is the right thing to follow, but I guess it would be the people you would be more pissed off aty since the verse can't make you follow it, but the people sure can.

Sadly we live in a world that believes what is right for you may not be right for me. There is no true standard for what is right and wrong. Then you mix in the belief that if it feels good then it is okay belief and you have a mess. So many people do not agree with Christians or even hate Christian because we don't "tolerate" enough. They disagree because we take a stand and believe in something and they are lost and don't know what or who to believe.

Generally, people classify a religion based on the people who practice it and what they do. If you claim to be Christian, but find it fun to beat up people who bug you, or get drunk and have group sex on the weekends, that won't reflect well on Christianity. When we claim to be Christian but act completely unChristian, we make hypocrites not only of ourselves but also of the religion we belong to.

The first is pointing out how Christianity, according to one interpretation of the Bible, is in itself hypocritical. The second, discussing disbelief in God, not anti-christianism. The third is an obvious troll.

You claim that people misjudge Christians, saying we don't tolerate enough (Which is something we ARE supposed to do) and then you belittle other people's beliefs, and you're giving off the air that everyone should follow Christianity.

Hypocrisy.

Why is it non-Christians only see hypocrites and only judge Christianity by this impression? There are plenty of non-hypocritical Christians out of there. And non-Christians aren't the only ones who are disgusted by hypocrites. I am, and I'm sure most other Christians are too.

Hypocrites are generally the loudest, most "out-there" Christians. They're the ones that appear on right-wing talk shows, lead gigantic "BattleCry"-type conventions, stand on corners preaching that everyone is going to hell, draw creepy, vaguely gory cartoons depicting "sins",...

Genuine Christians usually don't do that kind of thing. They act out of love, trying not to hurt anyone or cause distress. They do not force their beliefs on others; rather, they hold their morals and let other people ask about them. They do not cry about Hell; rather, they talk softly about Heaven.

This is obviously going to attract less media attention. Thus, the Christians most people see tend to be the first kind, and these people are what non-christians form their opinions based on.

But after all these years, wouldn't someone have figured out that the first Christians you mentioned were hypocrites? Some non-Christian must have. And if that were figured out and hypocrites were known to falsly depict Christianity, why base the opinions off of them?

Just as the smart Christians typically are kept out of the spotlight, so are the smart non-Christians. As a result, the people who base Christianity off what they see are the loudest. We're not that different from non-Christians.
