almost all snakes and some lizards can "see" heat with their tongus they can do this because they had receptors on there tongue which pick up the infrared spectrum.

No small number of them also have heat receptors near their noses - they look like tiny holes above the snake's mouth.

yes mostly pit snakes or snakes that live in dark places but allot of snakes actually smell with thier tounge (though more aurate to say the roof of there mouth)
