This is the Land of the Rain, southwest of Kanoha, home of Amegakure.

Yamamaru needed, and wanted, tocross through the Land of Rain. He was in a huge, wet rainforest, just what he expected. He came to a river, and he couldn't get across it. So he summoned his hammer, and smashed it onto a tree beside the river, making a bridge over to the other side of the river. "Heh," he said, "perfect. He smiled, and continued walking.

Yamamaru kept on walking for 5 days. Eventually, he got into the village of Amegakure. It looked empty, so he just kept on walking. "Looks a heck lot different from Sunagakure" he said. "I can't even find a Ramen shop.
The place was so empty, it was starting to scare him, and he started running through the village, and was eventually out.
He was soon back in the forest, He just decided to go through the next river, and then, finally, he saw a sign that read "Forest of Kanoha".
